End the long overdue sweeps for aliens in the United States? Let’s hope not: the only people this should make nervous are criminals. Our borders need securing and the petty fears of a few people should not constitute a reason to endanger millions of American lives and to further burden our already war taxed economy.
FOX News has the following story:
LOS ANGELES - For years, border patrol agents in Southern California have done just that - patrol the U.S. border with Mexico and highway checkpoints, arresting illegal immigrants only near the border.

Muslims need to wake up to the fact that the only reason the Turks were let go was political manipulation and not because the terrorists thought it was justified. Muslims that cooperate with the United States will be considered “polytheists” by all Wahhabi-instructed Muslims. The debate still rages, but the debate is misguided, like so much of the Middle East.
AP news has this report:
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) — Debate raged on Islamic Web sites about the propriety of killing fellow Muslims who work for coalition forces in Iraq, after militants released three Turkish hostages they had threatened to behead.

Latest AP report brings news that should be welcome to many vengeful families in Iraq:
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) — Legal custody of Saddam Hussein and 11 others was transferred Wednesday to the Iraqis, a first step toward the ousted dictator’s expected trial for crimes against humanity.
In a one-line announcement, Prime Minister Iyad Allawi’s office said that the Iraqis had assumed legal - but not physical - control, “today, 30th June, at 10:15 in the morning.”
They are to appear in court Thursday for a reading of the charges.

Remember, when our people are murdered, they tell no tales. We will probably never know what tortures men like Daniel Pearl, Nick Berg and Keith Maupin endured before they were finally executed.

You know, for many weeks now I have looked at pictures and even video footage coming out of Iraq — almost all of the material constantly trailed across American newscasts day after day and on websites like those run by the Washington Post.
I have to now ask: Where is the torture at Abu Ghraib?
So far I have seen naked Iraqi males. Yes, uncomfortable for them, perhaps disorienting or embarrassing. Too bad. That’s not torture. I’ve had jobs where I’ve had to be on my feet for more than twelve hours at a time in bad shoes and I can guarantee you, I’ve suffered more pain than I see in most of these photographs just from that experience alone.

While our United States Supreme Court is too busy worrying about the rights of non-citizens, especially potential and actual terrorists in military custody, more Americans are being butchered.
The latest video taped execution-style murder is believed to be that of Army Spc. Keith Matthew Maupin, who was kidnapped back in April and had not been heard of since.
Well, it would seem we have now heard the last of this brave soldier. May justice swiftly find his cowardly murderers.
From MSNBC comes the following report:
Thanks to Jihadwatch for the following heads-up about a very important FrontPage story:
Al-Hussayen, a Saudi national, was charged with using the website of the Islamic Assembly of North America (IANA) to promote terrorism. Specifically, Al-Hussayen, was charged with two counts of conspiracy to support terrorism, one count of providing material support to terror groups and eleven counts of visa and immigration fraud.
Among the messages posted by Al-Hussayen to the websites were four fatwas, or religious edicts blessing suicide missions. One specifically mentioned a kamikaze type mission using an airplane. This was prior to 9-11.
I have to say that I am beyond patience with Al Jazeera. They seem to be in absolute complicity with Al Qaeda in their constant first-hand flow of information from terrorists to the rest of the world. Wouldn’t it be reasonable to assume that it would save many lives to shut this propagandist, terrorist-mouthpiece organization down and start interrogating its employees? Some of them obviously know where Al Qaeda leadership and couriers are located, as well as email contacts and web sites, cell phones and information dumps. And on top of that, the luster that is currently surrounding these all-to-well documented kidnappings and beheadings will not be what it has been if the videos are not so easily and readily available to news agencies.

In a welcome surprise move, the United States and coalition forces have handed over power to Iraq’s new sovereign government two days ahead of schedule.
Here is a CNN report:
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) — Members of Iraq’s interim government took an oath of office Monday just hours after the United States returned the nation’s sovereignty.
Led by Iraq’s interim Prime Minister Ayad Allawi, each member of the new government placed a hand on the Quran and promised to serve with sincerity and impartiality. Iraqi flags lined the wall behind them.

This AP report illustrates once again that Islamofascists fear one thing more than anything else — Freedom, because freedom will allow education and the means to form a new destiny for oneself and one’s own country, regardless of Islam:
KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (AP) — Suspected Taliban gunmen killed at least 10 men in southern Afghanistan after finding that they had registered for national elections, local officials said Sunday.
The attack, which occurred Friday on a road in southern Uruzgan province, was the deadliest yet in a wave of violence aimed at sabotaging the nation’s first free vote, scheduled for September.

An all too typical news report from the Times of India:
JAMMU: Terrorists shot dead 12 civilians in Jammu and Kashmir in the biggest massacre since a new government took office in India. The terrorists were targeting villagers trained to fight militancy.
The Friday night massacre took place in Surankote area of Poonch district, a known militant stronghold 210 km north of Jammu bordering Pakistan.
The victims are suspected to be members of the village defence committee and their family members, but precise details are not known.
