More bad news care of the AP newswire:
BAQOUBA, Iraq (AP) — Insurgents launched coordinated attacks against police and government buildings across Iraq on Thursday, less than a week before the handover of sovereignty. The strikes killed 69 people, including three American soldiers, and wounded more than 270 people, Iraqi and U.S. officials said.
The large number of attacks, mostly directed at Iraqi security services, was a clear sign of just how powerful the insurgency in Iraq remains and could be the start of a new push to torpedo Wednesday’s transfer of sovereignty to an interim transitional government.
When people talk about Abu Ghraib, I just remind them of this kind of ruthless evil that our American military contends with each and every day in Iraq. Where are the international outcries at this kind of obvious barbarism by jihadists (aka insurgents)? There will hardly be any, because the wannabe Socialist Elite think it’s perfectly alright for Muslim to kill Muslim, Arab to kill Arab. Isn’t that right Ted Kennedy? Isn’t that right, President Chirac?
The Iraqis will learn who their real friends are in due time, and it certainly isn’t most of the United Nations, unfortunately. German and French hands are still greasy with Iraqi oil.

(Please excuse any coding that shows up. I know HTML but I also know there are Variants of it)
This has since almost double on all numbers.
The amazing thing is the press here in Canada: ‘They seem to have gotten more organized.’ (not exact words, but you get the drift).
You would think the press had NO clue things like this were going to happen- and I think they would like listeners to believe the US and coalition forces didn’t expect it, either. Anyone paying Attention the past few years would have already realized the terrorists and others infiltrating from other countries had this in mind months ago.
It does get discouraging… thanks to the press and the LLL. But we have to hold on. These useful fools will keep up their act until they find terrorists holding swords to their necks: ‘Convert now.’
Idiots.
Even worse is that so many continue to not understand that these jihadists are actively helped by countless numbers of Muslims where they base themselves. How else can anyone explain such an attack as happened today right in the midst of U.S. forces patrol routes, if there is not quite a bit of local help involved.
One day soon people will start to understand the scope of this problem, but I agree — the press corps in Canada, USA and UK are doing nobody any good with their current style of reporting. It’s infuriating.
