DUBAI (Reuters) - Pakistan has arrested a senior al Qaeda figure with a bounty of up to $25 million on his head, Interior Minister Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat told CNN television Thursday.
I just received this email from the kind folks over at FMCAT. If only all the world’s Muslims were as pluralist, humane and educated as FMCAT members, the Earth would be a far safer place:
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 7/28/04) - The Free Muslim Coalition Against Terrorism has learned that the Saudi Islamic Academy, located in Alexandria, Virginia is teaching an extreme version of Islam to its first grade students.

in 9-11, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
From the Washington Times:
The threat of Islamist extremists taking over Pakistan or Saudi Arabia is real and could “fundamentally change the balance of security in the world,” September 11 commission member John F. Lehman said yesterday.
How the United States treats the delicate balance of pro-American governments and radical Muslim forces in those two nations is critical to the success of U.S. strategy on terrorism, Mr. Lehman said during a meeting with reporters at The Washington Times.

The rumors of a pending attack on the scale of 9/11 keep building:
NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Al-Qaida members captured recently in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Afghanistan have provided important information about a possible terrorist attack on the scale of Sept. 11, 2001, The New York Times reported Friday.
Citing senior intelligence officials, the newspaper said interrogations of the al-Qaida members have been a major factor in raising U.S. concerns about a possible attack on a level not seen since 9/11.

From The Spectator out of the UK comes a new article called The Triumph of the East. It is a chilling, concise and angering article that deals sharply, precisely and nakedly with the threats coming from the Middle East and the realities that already face us where we live.
This is a must read and is well worth the two minutes it will take to do the free registration at the Spectator site.

in Iran, Al Qaeda and 9-11.
The information continues to keep flowing in that is undeniable now: Nation-states were directly involved with the 9/11 attacks and continue to actively support Al Qaeda and jihadist terror against the United States, Europe and the world.
Here is the latest report from NEWSWEEK:
July 21 - Just eight months before the September 11 terror attacks, top conspirator Ramzi bin al-Shibh received a four-week visa to Iran and then flew to Tehran–an apparent stop-off point on his way to meet with Al Qaeda chiefs in Afghanistan, according to law-enforcement documents obtained by NEWSWEEK.
On the Tuesday, July 20th edition of MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews, Senator Bob Graham affirmed that a country other than Iran (not Afghanistan) assisted Al Qaeda in carrying out the 9/11 attack and continues to assist them today.
Senator Graham refused to specifically name the other culprit(s), but the message is clear — there are nations involved with Al Qaeda, and Iran is just one of them. When this information comes to light for the American people, how can it spell anything less than an escalation in the current War on Terror?

Breaking news of obvious importance:
Baghdad, Iraq, Jul. 21 (UPI) — Iraqi security reportedly discovered three missiles carrying nuclear heads concealed in a concrete trench northwest of Baghdad, official sources said Wednesday.
The official daily al-Sabah quoted the sources as saying the missiles were discovered in trenches near the city of Tikrit, the hometown of ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
“The three missiles were discovered by chance when the Iraqi security forces captured former Baath party official Khoder al-Douri who revealed during interrogation the location of the missiles saying they carried nuclear heads,” the sources said.

In the storm of media negativity that surrounds the Iraq war, the truth about the majority of good happenings goes unheard far too often. That’s why I’m glad to post this link to the following article coming from the Wall Street Journal editorial page (with thanks to J. Lalor):
Taking Power
A roundup of the past two weeks’ good news in Iraq.

Well, here we go once more: too much of the United Nations is fueled by anti-Semitism and pro-Islamist sentiment. It’s absolutely insane.
The United States should remove itself from the UN. I am increasingly perplexed at what we have to gain by continued membership. It is a tremendous money pit for our tax paying citizenry and we rarely benefit from any of its decisions.

There’s a growing group of Conservative protestors in this country. They are trying to balance out the all-too-well publicized Left-wing and Anarchist protest groups that evidently believe only they have a right to be heard. I strongly urge people to get involved with ProtestWarrior and show your support for the War on Terror and the President and our troops.
From the Fox News article:
LOS ANGELES — At anti-war rallies, thousands exercise their freedom of association and expression, but, if you’re anti-left or pro-Bush, speech is not so free.

A new book out by Yossef Bodansky attempts to shed new light on the events surrounding the Iraq campaign. Abu Nidal did not commit suicide and I’ve stated this before. It turns out that Nidal was between a rock and a hard place in Iraq and perhaps looking for an out via the SIS (Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service) by offering to provide details of Saddam’s Al Qaeda ties and his own international terrorism efforts. Here’s an excerpt from Bodansky’s book thanks to a WorldNetDaily article:
