@Skid: Excellent points all-around, and I'm glad someone posted those opinions on 'bells vs call to prayer' so persons like Tosser might badger me less about what is self-evident to the rest of us.

Hi, Kirk, and welcome.

Unfortunately, Tosser's ISP must route through N. Ireland and tracks into a feed via Great Britain. The flags are automatically generated based on these factors by a complex database. However, I've thought about such things, as I think about too many things, and I just might find a method to override individual errors in flag-placement and embed unique database info on a case by case basis when required.

This annoys me beyond belief that extremists of any kind are decieving us and waging a Holy if not media war!
It's getting to the point that if they want a Holy war then sign me up and let's get it over with!
I'm not religious being C of E but I certainly will not tolerate Islam and all it's beliefs! But i do believe in Democracy as nothing other than this has provided a safer, stable living.

And if the do-gooders argue against this then do something positive in your life and live outside Democracy. See how long you last. I hope it works out for you.
This further infuraites me when as an Englishman i find it hard to expatriate to a Democratic country like USA and Australia to work and live peacefully but if I was Irish or Muslim then the USA in particular would say 'welcome'??? Then once granted a visa the individuals complain and crap on about how good their home country is and raise their siblings to oppress their new birthplace.
So if the new worldleaders want to continue their Democracy existance then sign me up but only if they have the will of Sir Winston Churchill or even a Margaret Thatcher because they'll need the biggest pair of balls to cope with the oncoming Civil wars within our own Countries due to this disease.
Can we start calling extremists/terrorists literally 'COWARDS' from now on. i.e 10 COWARDS where infiltrated today before blowing 1000 civilans up underneath their COWARDLY masks.
Also can you give that Tosser and Irish flag and not British. Cheers.
Keep up the good work.

In my experience, which is in the bible belt of America (for 37 years), where churches are numbered at about one every 2 blocks, the one's that have bells usually chime the hour. Which means, they are telling the time of day, not issuing a call to worship. The only day that the chimes are different are on sundays, and those are usually the Catholic churches after the service. The bells are usually a background noise during the day. I've heard the calls from the mosques as I've been to India 4 times in the past 2 years. I've been to the south as well as the north, and believe me, the call to prayer at the mosque is far more annoying than bells when you are trying to get to sleep. To give one preference to one religion over another is pure bull. To give preference to ANY religion in America is anti-thema. "As he Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of emnity against the laws, religion or tranquility, of Musselmen; and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mehomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries." - George Washington
That from a founding father of our nation.
You think I don’t know that you’re writing from Ireland for sure before I say it? You’re writing from Ireland. It’s just a shame that the flag isn’t configuring correctly for you.

It explains all I need to know about your combative attitude and your want to waste my time instead of spending your time here learning the dangers. You’ve already got a Muslim problem in Dublin. Don’t think that tiny Ireland is any more immune to the same problem plaguing the West.
Heavens, I haven't doubted the fact that you know I'm writing from Ireland. Obviously you do, you've already pointed out to a couple of teenage girls on this site that you can pinpoint their IP addresses.

If your only objection to permitting the call to prayer is that you don't like what's in the constitution, could I suggest that you confine your outrage until such time as the constitution has been amended to your liking, rather than working yourself up into a tizzy about people simply exercising the freedoms we in the West hold so dear?

For that matter, if you already know the justification for having a vocalized call to prayer in the United States, why bother asking? It just makes you look a bit silly when someone comes along and points out the blindingly obvious, and all your ad hominem bluster about the Irish does nothing to enhance your credibility.

And if you already know that church bells are permitted in the same area, why imply that there's a double standard being applied? We don't deal in double standards here on the Anvil, you know.

You might find it less tiring to reply to my posts if you didn't spend so much effort huffing and puffing about how intelligent and well-informed you and your blog are (I've read everything in it, by the way), where I'm posting from, and vaguely threatening to kick my ass (which, over the internet, is really, really weak). You're an exceptionally discourteous host, and I've done nothing to warrant such opprobrium. Play the ball, not the man, Foehammer - you might even find yourself metamorphosing into a perfectly pleasant young gentleman.

btw, what's this muslim problem we've got in Ireland? First I've heard of it, honest.

@Skid: Thanks and welcome to the Anvil. You're in a part of the world that is practically a barometer for Islamic incursions and Western dhimmitude. I hope you survive it all and return to the States before Eurabia falls. In the meantime, you'll find some Americans here to chat with when you need it.

@Geoff: Very good information, but don't hold your breath waiting for that to enlighten tosser. "No man is as blind as those that refuse to see."
I may very well be one, or both, or neither, young Foehammer, but I haven't tried to defend Islam here or anywhere else. What I'm more interested in right now is your strangely ambiguous relationship with the First Amendment - are you fer it, or agin it?

You know, when you ask a question (such as "where is the justification for having a vocalized call to prayer in any language for Islam anywhere in these United States?"), and someone helpfully answers, the courteous thing to do would be to thank that person.

You're a funny fellow.
And here's your answer about First Amendment rights -- they won't apply once Islam is outlawed.

<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Constitution_is_not_a_suicide_pact" rel="nofollow">The Constitution is not a Suicide Pact.</a>

The First Amendment will have to be revised, Islam specifically labeled as "a theocratic cult that does not separate church and state and bent on the usurping of U.S. governmental powers", and therefore not a religion for which the First Amendment applies. The Constitution was not written so that our enemies could come here and use our freedoms and protections to destroy us.

"Young Foehammer."

Thanks, I can always use a few years given back, even if it is just a dream.

Now, if you don't learn something from this reply I will ban you. Your incessant and tiring need to come here and ask me questions to intentionally waste my time and feebly attempt to goad me, instead of using the years of work I have poured into proving my points and supplying people with pages of material and links to find the truth, has now gone far enough. You are a troll. You know it and I know it, and if we were standing in a pub, I'd have knocked you on your ass by now and that lesson would have been learned very, very well.
