Robert Spencer and Jihad Watch

cover

I have been a regular reader of Robert Spencer’s excellent web site, Jihad Watch, for several months now. So, I was very pleased to see Mr. Spencer this morning on Fox News, where he was given the forum for a few minutes to relate what amounts to rare glimmers of frank discussion about the current roots of the Islamic terrorist threat and the truth behind it.

Mr. Spencer did an excellent job this morning. The time is always very limited but I could tell that his comments had an effect on the interviewer. More and more Westerners are starting to realize that this problem is deeply rooted with Islam and we need more honest discussions.

If you really want to see men like Robert Spencer have more time, then send email to the long-running and excellent ‘The Charlie Rose Show’ on PBS:

I would also recommend Tim Russert’s CNBC talk show:

I would like to point out that purist Islam may be the enemy, but all Muslims are not necessarily such. Secularization is still the the greatest hope for peace on this planet after the aftermath of whatever terrorist acts and retaliations are are yet to come.

Please try to keep things in perspective. I even find myself losing myself to bloodlust now and again, so I understand the anger, but there are millions of Muslims that truly do want reform and peace and are not seeking world domination via Islamic jihad.

Cool heads, ladies and gentlemen.

I also would like to highly recommend Robert Spencer’s books, especially the one that I am currently reading right now, Islam Unveiled. It is by far the most concise and realistic discussion of Islam and the truth and threats behind it that I have yet read. I have added this book to my recommended book & media list.
