I’ve been hearing quite a bit of foolishness coming out of Europe the past couple of days: all the doom-saying about re-electing George W. Bush; how the oh-so-wise French and British would have elected John Kerry by a landslide if they’d had the chance, etc., etc.
Well, let me give Europe one brief reminder: we are Americans and not Europeans for a reason — we came here for freedoms and because our ancestors had the courage and strength of will to effect change in their lives. We’ve bailed you out of two World Wars with our blood, toil and treasure and we are apparently going to have to save you from your own Utopian-blind liberal mania now, one that continually keeps you from seeing the danger right in your own backyards, one that is going to swallow you up without our help once again: Islam.
Some current European foibles:
Pathetically slow birthrates.
Condescending attitudes fueled by misguided appeasers.
Bush-hating jealousy.
Snobbery against the Colonials and Cowboys.
Replacing Western-Judeo-Christian culture with Islamic-Enlightened-Barbarians because it’s what “hip”, self-deprecating Euros are apparently supposed to do in the modern era.
Americans will save you all from these and other problems suffocating Europe. But don’t worry, you can continue to make it a thankless job for future American generations after its over with. We expect nothing more.
Wake up, Europe. How many more Theo van Goghs must be butchered in your streets before the smelling salts finally have an effect.
Oh, and don’t think I don’t realize that it is the far Left right here in our own nation that is helping spawn the resentment for George W. Bush and American Policy over in Europe. We’ve got a very potent cadre of intelligentsia right here in the good ole U.S. of A., have no doubt, and many of them are bitter after this defeat. It must be a very hard rebuke indeed to find out that when you stand for nothing but hedonism and anarchy, you can not possibly win the hearts of the majority of the American people. Conservatism gained seats in Congress for good damn reason, and not even false polling, tainted media coverage and spin doctors could stop it.
So ends my rant for today.
