Lately I’ve been hearing quite a bit again from the Press, the Red Cross and other notoriously biased sources about Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Yet, I don’t hear but a gurgle of protest out of them about the murders and terrorist attacks that have been continuing unabated while the United States has kept prisoners in Guantanamo Bay, before Guantanamo was built and you can bet, after the doors on Guantanamo finally shut.
Uncomfortable conditions in a prison camp hardly equate to torture, yet when it is the “good guys” creating such conditions, critics are harsh with the critiques and very unfair with the definitions.
There are nuclear missiles being built underground in Iran.
There are murderers and rapists prowling the streets in cities like Baghdad, calling themselves jihadists.
There’s a crazy Muslim man in a hole in the ground somewhere making another video tape to strike fear into the world again, perhaps just in time for the holidays this time?
And yet, we have the same doves coo-coo-cooing away about abuses at Guantanamo Bay.
Ask yourself this question: If we did nothing, if we let all the prisoners go, if we fed them cake and gave them wine to drink, would we be safer? Would we get answers?
We are dealing with evil, determined, zealous maniacs that will harbor countless enemies to strike at the free world for generations to come if we appease them. As far as I’m concerned, we need to send them brighter light bulbs for the lamps at Guantanamo.
And so ends my brief rant for today.

Then give them cake and wine since we’ve got nothing from them anyway.
I suppose you call yourself a good Christian. What would Jesus say about turning the other cheek, feeding the poor and relieving the suffering? So you choose to do as your enemies do anyway. Does that make you any better than your enemies? Violence begats violence.
I suppose you equate soldiers with murderers, despite the fact that if it wasn’t for good men capable of dealing death to the world’s enemies throughout history, you wouldn’t even be breathing and able to type such pompous, self-righteous and self-indulgent tripe in these comments.
My religion is my own business and has hardly anything to do with this site.

The prisoners at Gitmo are enemy combatants. They do not follow the rules of war. Defending them against the US is outrageous. One can not compare the two. We do not do as they do! Torture? What of the beheadings of US soldiers and Daniel Pearl? It makes me ill when your type wants to wrap their arms around these terrorists and treat them as if they have done no wrong. They have made their beds and they shall lie in them, like it or not. They should stay where they are. They do not deserve civil court trials! They should not be moved state side. They are not civilians! They are not citizens!
Turn the other cheek? Don’t you mean bow down? That may be your favored position. But not mine. I prefer to stand tall and proud, and fight for my country and the west! Get up off of your knees and be a man.
FYI Feeding the worlds poor and relieving suffering is what the US does best! But no one shines a light on that now do they?
