I had intended to display the first poll results and start a new poll by now, but since I’m already in the process of propagating my server to its new home, I will not be touching the current poll until the switch is complete. At that time I’ll be implementing a native system for polling anyway and will have more controls over the polling, will be able to post several different polls at once and even allow old polls to be voted on continuously by new visitors.

I won’t bore you with more details you are hearing over and over, but I think it’s interesting to note that by all accounts so far, Saddam went to his death shouting “Allahu Akbar!” (God is great) and holding a Qur’an. I know that Saddam was a Stalinist at heart and hardly a pious Muslim, so this leads me to think that he knew that if there were any chance of stirring up revenge for himself, it might only be through putting on a brave face for the jihadists and Baathists in Iraq.

Intellectual bigotry (aka ignorance) is perhaps the worst of all corruptions and the editorials mentioned in the article below typify it.
The real ignorance here is once more, as is inherent to most of the detractors I run into on my own site, on the part of the fools that cast stones from soapboxes without having any evidence to put forth that their own case is the valid one. The Leftist mongrels that continue to endanger the West because they are so pacifistic and deluded and self-righteous, should be put in their place. This kind of tomfoolery can not go on much longer. If it does we will see what Virgil Goode has warned us of and far worse.
Daniel Pipes again has some insights that are worth reposting here:
After defeating fascists and communists, can the West now defeat the Islamists?
On the face of it, its military preponderance makes victory seem inevitable. Even if Tehran acquires a nuclear weapon, Islamists have nothing like the military machine the Axis deployed in World War II, nor the Soviet Union during the cold war. What do the Islamists have to compare with the Wehrmacht or the Red Army? The SS or Spetznaz? The Gestapo or the KGB? Or, for that matter, to Auschwitz or the gulag?

Score 1 for the good guys. From Reuters:
MOGADISHU (Reuters) - Ethiopian warplanes attacked two Islamist-held airfields in Somalia on Monday, including in the capital Mogadishu, in the most dramatic strikes yet of a war threatening to engulf the Horn of Africa.
Witnesses said the attacks came hours after neighboring Ethiopia formally declared war, saying it was protecting its sovereignty against an Islamist movement.
Fighting raged for a seventh day near Daynunay, close to the town of Baidoa, seat of Somalia’s weak interim government which is backed by Ethiopia.

I want to wish all a Merry Christmas — not just because it should be a happy day, but also to spite of all those that are plotting to hurt or terrorize because it is Christmas. No matter what the enemies of the free world try to do, they can’t stop Christmas from coming this year or any other year.
From The Guardian, something to think on this Christmas:

I just wanted to give a very brief heads-up to inform my readers that there are good things coming in the New Year from Foehammer’s Anvil: a new and vastly improved version of the site!
Foehammer’s Anvil 2.0, as I affectionately like to refer to it, has been my pet secret project now for the past month and all the main parts are in place, and the formatting is finished. I am currently in the process of transferring the data to the new servers and tweaking and testing as required. When satisfied I will switch the Foehammer.net/foehammer.net domains over to the new servers and this old version of the site you are currently looking at will be a thing of the past.

In reaction to my recently created and posted War Poster, I received this all-too-typical comment from the usual cadre of the foolish yet self-righteous:
What you’re tinkering with in the post description (”Islam is Sharia Law, and Sharia Law has no place in the United States…swearing on a Koran in the U.S. sets a deadly precedent”) is called ‘treading down the slippery slope’. You’re inferring that all Islams believe that Sharia law must be implemented, and if even one individual swears on the Koran we are doomed to fall into the chasm of Islamic fundamentalism. Or something like that.
From the AP, Tony Blair speaks on Wednesday on the dangerously misleading topic of “moderates and extremists”:
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — British Prime Minister Tony Blair wrapped up a Middle East tour Wednesday with a blunt speech warning that the world faces a monumental struggle between moderates and extremists - and labeling Iran the main obstacle to hopes for peace.
In an address to business leaders and journalists in Dubai, Blair said combating extremism and the violence it foments was the greatest challenge of the 21st century. He said the lesson he had drawn from his five-day Mideast trip was “startlingly real, clear and menacing.”

Another one of my homages to classic WWII propaganda posters, and more importantly, my reaction to the many recent events in the United States surrounding the election of our first Muslim congressman, to the Flying Imams, the constant warbling of CAIR, to the latest controversy over Congressman Goode standing up for what is right. Click the image for a slightly larger/clearer view, and one suitable for linking to my site and/or posting on your own blog can be found here.

Virginia Congressman Virgil Goode is now in the ranks with men like Tom Tancredo and Rudy Giuliani: they have all proven themselves to be brave, obstinate and wise anti-dhimmis.
“I do not subscribe to using the Koran in any way,” Goode wrote.
Damn right, Virgil.
And despite the fact that CAIR is continuing its never-ending efforts to confuse religion and race as part of a desperate plan to cloud the real issues at hand, we have plenty of Americans waking up to the grim reality: Islam is not suitable for American consumption, especially not on the steps of Congress.
