A comment and my response

In reaction to my recently created and posted War Poster, I received this all-too-typical comment from the usual cadre of the foolish yet self-righteous:

What you’re tinkering with in the post description (”Islam is Sharia Law, and Sharia Law has no place in the United States…swearing on a Koran in the U.S. sets a deadly precedent”) is called ‘treading down the slippery slope’. You’re inferring that all Islams believe that Sharia law must be implemented, and if even one individual swears on the Koran we are doomed to fall into the chasm of Islamic fundamentalism. Or something like that.

The same thing, of course, could be said about swearing on the Bible. From the perspective of a supposedly secular government there should be no significant difference in how the Koran or Bible is treated in politics.

The argument you’ve brought up here makes you look foolish, although not quite as foolish as that ‘war poster’ you’ve brought to our attention.

And now for my response:

Your slant is the foolish one, my friend. When you try to codify “all Muslims” with some mocked-up term like “Islams”, you immediately make yourself look uneducated.

You’re hardly dealing with what you are probably used to intellectually in your own circles when you confront me, so I’ve given you fair warning now. Tread at your own risk, because I can feast on small minds far too easily and my message is based on researched fact and conviction of character, not on trumped up Pollyanna-esque fantasies like you’re attempting to further.

You do not have to adhere to Judeo-Christian values, and that is your right as an American, but you are the one on the “slippery slope” when you forget where your freedoms come from — and that origin is exactly what you are trying to characterize as being just as expendable as any other religion or icon (i.e. the Bible), which is utter nonsense. That origin is Judeo-Christianity. Freedom wasn’t granted to you by Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam or any other religion outside of Judaism and Christianity. This is an important lesson of history to remember.

Be an atheist or agnostic if you wish, for example, but have the cognitive power and wisdom learned from knowledge of history to at least put credit where it is due: the United States of America was built by God-fearing men and women from Judeo-Christian heritage. The Constitution, Bill of Rights and the like were likewise written by the same.

What else need be said?

Go read about Muhammad and see if he ever proclaimed freedom and equality for all in his writings and travels….you’ll find instead a story of blood, murder, rape, and war and retribution. Well-documented facts and the list of books available is immense. You could start with the library section on my own site for instance….

One last thing: If you so easily dismiss a poster that identifies the truth and uses methods that are almost a carbon copy of those used during WW2, then you would have done the very same thing to those Americans and British who had the foresight to warn the world about Hitler starting around 1934. It is fools like you that lead people down a path to needless death and treachery because you are so blinded by your own self-righteousness.

I admit it freely: I’m not nice to my enemies or detractors. And yes, sometimes I like to clang on the anvil extra loud; I have to find my fun somewhere when dealing with this dark topic every day.

‘In war you do not have to be nice - you only have to be right.’ -Winston Churchill

Foehammer, you are totally correct in what you say. To those who lack even an hint of what Islam is all about, I would like to suggest they read, for free, the online copy of Craig Winn’s *Prophet of Doom”, which is also free to download for offline study or printing at http://prophetofdoom.net/pdf.aspx?g=401&i=41002
It is available via individual chapters or the entire book, all with no charge. I am amazed to find so few Americans have the faintest idea of what true evil Islam actually consists of, and what it means to each one of us in the US. I cannot understand the ignorance displayed by the vast majority even as the Satanic Evil of Islam sneaks up upon all of us!

Excellent retort to a small “politically correct” mind. It would be doing America a great service if our President would stop telling the American people that Islam is a peaceful and loving religion, because that is DEAD WRONG! I’m sure that FDR didn’t keep telling the American people that Nazism was peaceful and loving.
