Intellectual bigotry (aka ignorance) is perhaps the worst of all corruptions and the editorials mentioned in the article below typify it.
The real ignorance here is once more, as is inherent to most of the detractors I run into on my own site, on the part of the fools that cast stones from soapboxes without having any evidence to put forth that their own case is the valid one. The Leftist mongrels that continue to endanger the West because they are so pacifistic and deluded and self-righteous, should be put in their place. This kind of tomfoolery can not go on much longer. If it does we will see what Virgil Goode has warned us of and far worse.
Islam is the, in my educated opinion, single most dangerous enemy that the United States of America will confront in its entire history. If we do not come up with a solution, it will spell the end of our Republic as we know and love it, once and for all.
From Robert Spencer, care of Jihad Watch and FrontPage, comes the following poignant rebuff of the cadre of newspaper editors that have lost their minds and their “spider-sense”:
Congressman Virgil Goode (R-VA) is being censured by almost everyone for his remarks about incoming Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN) and Muslim immigration. “I fear that in the next century we will have many more Muslims in the United States,” Goode wrote in a letter to a constituent, “if we do not adopt the strict immigration policies that I believe are necessary to preserve the values and beliefs traditional to the United States of America and to prevent our resources from being swamped.” He also noted Ellison’s intention to be sworn in on the Qur’an, declaring that “if American citizens don’t wake up and adopt the Virgil Goode position on immigration there will likely be many more Muslims elected to office and demanding the use of the Koran.”
In an unsigned editorial entitled “A Bigot in Congress,” the Washington Post huffed that besides being a bigot, Goode was “colossally stupid” and suffering from “xenophobic delirium.” Goode, opined the Post, was “evidently napping in class the day they taught the traditional American values of tolerance, diversity and religious freedom. This country’s history is rife with instances of uncivil, hateful and violent behavior toward newcomers, be they Jewish, Irish, Italian or plenty of others whose ethnicities did not jibe with some pinched view of what it means to be American. Mr. Goode’s dimwitted outburst of nativism is nothing new.” The “real worry” was that “the rest of the world might take Mr. Goode seriously, interpreting his biased remarks about Muslims as proof that America really has embarked on a civilizational war against Islam.”

i have read some of the articles on your site. i feel so sorry for you. you are judging people without knowing them. don’t believe in everything you read on your media, or on anti-islam sites. of course they will say things that are against islam. i am a muslim, who has been in the states for 4 years now. i have many american friends, i am even going to marry one in 8 months. i know that not all americans are ignorant. but i know that they used believe in what they hear before meeting me. and i took some of them to my country, introduced them to my family. and they saw how different things are. how moslims aren’t any different than any other religious groups. how you are only hearing the thoughts of let’s say 100.000 moslims compared to millions of them who just want to live their lifes just like you do. there are bad people in every country, every organization, every religion. in america, people worship money, in my country, people value the humanity more than money. i never say americans are bad, infidel -not to mention there are moslim americans, too. but if you are not raised with the intimacy in your family, unfortunately you will never comprehend it. when we say we have values, you will never understand it, because you weren’t exposed to it. it’s like, i will never understand why people like root beer, because i wasn’t exposed to it growing up. that doesn’t make me a weirdo, neither you guys are weirdos. we adapt to what we see in our environment. the point is, you should respect me not liking root beer, as i should respect you liking root beer. you should respect the islam and moslims, the way they want to live their lifes, and they should respect you.
now, there is a huge amount of propaganda against islam today. your site is one of them. you are not different than those terrorists who want to kill the infidels. same level of ignorance. don’t forget that, the majority of moslims have peace in their hearts and they live a very humble life. they don’t live according to the western values, because no one can say that the best way to live is the way western countries do. (it is like the root beer comparison.)islam doesn’t call for killing and fighting. there will be translations to english that claims that it does. pay attention; those are translations. islam doesn’t call for animosity. islam welcomes everyone from every religion peacefully. did you know that? islam doesn’t say “if someone is christian, he goes to hell” it says, anyone who believes in god -directly to the god,not through religios leaders,or prophets, feels him in his heart, and acts as a good person is welcome in heaven. does you religion say that? or is it true that if i don’t accept jesus is the son of god, i am screwed?
please ask yourself these questions. tyr to meet some humble moslims and talk to them. you will see there is not difference at heart, there will be differences in upbringing for sure. don’t tell me that you met some moslims who did horrible things. people might meet bad people from every country or religion. don’t generalize things based on your bad experiences. imagine if a tourist visits america and gets robbed on his first day in new york, and tells everyone how dangerous america is, and how unwelcoming people are, and how horrible the city looks.
hope you will have more open mind. that’s what west it proud of, having an open mind. don’t be proud of it unless you have an open mind. loving people unconditionally is the humane way. God asked that from us. and it is the same in every religion in the world. keep that in mind that it doesn’t makes sense that a religion is full of hatred, it wouldn’t stick around. we are all the same. we get hungry, we go to the bathroom, we want to be loved, we want peace, we want to relax, we want to work, we want to sleep, we want respect etc. this is the same for everyone, not only for americans. hope you will consider these and discover the humane way yourself. you cannot fix hatred by hatred, but by love.
Thanks Foehammer for a great article. People can go search on Skeptics Annotated Koran.
Put it in chrono order. Look at the last chapter, its a stub. Now go to the second to the last in chrono order, Repentance. Now read that. In original numbering, its chapter 9. Look at 9:5 the verse of the sword. This abrogates every peaceful verse in the Koran in this chrono order before it.
Search on good stuff for whole Koran, there are 67 verses total.
You can look at each chapter and get the list of intolerant verses. Almost all chapters have them. Look at chapter 2 in original order, the Cow.
quote
2:106 Nothing of our revelation (even a single verse) do we abrogate or cause be forgotten, but we bring (in place) one better or the like thereof. Knowest thou not that Allah is Able to do all things?
end quote
This was the first chapter written at Medina, look in Chrono order. Muhammad escaped to Medina in 622 AD. The first thing he does is abrogate all the peaceful verses from Mecca and now he lets loose with a revenge hate book that gets worse with the years, culminating in Repentance which is a pure Mein Kampf Hitler Diatribe.
“you are not different than those terrorists who want to kill the infidels.” - anonymous
Now, how am I supposed to even respond to a Muslim that states something as absurd as that?
My new version of Foehammer’s Anvil will most definitely carry a “Disclaimer” point that will clarify that I’m not a “Muslim hater” as a few are too quick to judge before actually reading or understanding my direction.
Islam is most definitely not compatible with the United States Constitution OR the way I was raised. Period. End of story. I know that’s going to be hard for many Muslims to swallow, but I don’t try to claim the sky is pink, I just claim what I know to be true.
Possible solutions for Muslims in America? Work towards Reform. Work towards true Peace. Work towards true Assimilation into the USA and not the reverse. Work towards Apostacy and adopting one of the truly peaceful religions of the world as your own.
There are solutions available, but maintaining that I am ignorant because I actually understand your Koran certainly is not going to dissuade me from continuing this website. In fact, it only gives me more proof that I’m doing the right thing.
Oldatlantic: That is a fascinating point you make about the Qur’an and its chronology and one I’ve never actually investigated. But I will now. Thank you.
if you speak a second language, read a book -any book in that language, and read the same book that is translated to English for instance. or vice versa. you will notice that the meaning is never the same. translations have interpretations of their translators in them. koran is written in koran language. it is not arabic. it is similar to arabic. however, arabs cannot understand koran; they have to learn its language. there is no community in the world that speaks koran language. people learn it, and read koran and translate what they understand from it. i think i’d know it better, i was raised by parents and a society who read koran, and nobody taught me to be intolerant to non-moslims. just the opposite. i never heard a mom, a teacher telling us “stay away from christians, they are enemy”. how unfortunate it is that, i hear those words against islam in this country -in the christian world. now, in another moslim society, maybe a parent is telling their kids to kill infidels and it is an order from god, from koran. well, if that’s the case, that only tells me that those parents interpreted it that way. don’t blame the koran, blame screwed up minds. screwed up minds are everywhere, they are here in this very country, too.
the violence that comes from those countries is not because of religion. it is because of the way the world is. if those countries were the super power today, and america was as small as them, you-yourself would be the one who would try to fight through violence. any poor area -even in your own country will have a huge crime rate. those countries are poor, and that results in violence. this has nothing to do with islam. otherwise how do you explain the poor neighborhoods where people kill each other, have gangs etc who are christians? how do you explain crusades?
please people, just love people and stay away from conspricy. consider millions of moslims who leave in peace, who would welcome you -you a christian- to their homes and feed you and share their limited amount food they have, and take care of you. millions i am talking about. if koran ordered those, millions of people would be that welcoming, would they? use your brains. it is not difficult.
who wants to change your constitution? who wants to change the way you guys are raised? i am against anyone who goes to a country and tries to change the way things are about that country. but, is this only coming from Islam and muslims? how about mexican? how about chinatowns? how about any other minorities that don’t match the way you are being raised? why does it say in your site “islam is our enemy”?
let me tell you. english is not my first language. but if i am living in this country, i have to learn it. same goes to everyone with any religion. i hate going to a store and having to deal with people who cannot speack english, too. but this is different than saying “islam is our enemy”. did i miss something somewhere? did anyone try to tell you that you should change your constitution according to Koran? and oh please keep this site, i wouldn’t want you to shut it down, neither does Koran, i believe. if you got that from my post somehow, i am sorry.
my first post just wanted to say this “don’t hate people just because they have a different way of living than you do”. if you think people are interrupting with the way you and young americans being raised, that’s not only the muslims, that’s all the foreigners. and there are more hispanics than moslims in this country. and, everything comes in english and spanish. worse, some items are only in spanish. that’s a worse threat to your american ways, i believe.
