“We appeal to all Lebanese, from every region and political movement… to rid us of an incapable government.” -Hassan Nasrallah
Thousands of Hezbollah supporters are protesting in Beirut this morning in hopes of forcing an overturning of the legitimate government of Lebanon and replacing it with Hezbollah/pro-Syrian leadership. So, the “tiny minority of extremists” myth is once again proven wrong. So, the “tolerant religion” of Islam is once again trying to force out what few Christians live in the Middle East outside of Israel (see Parliament of Lebanon for an example of current religious numbers).
So much attention paid to the bordering nations of Israel by violent Islamic groups, can it all be without an ultimate purpose? I seriously doubt it.
The short war earlier this year has obviously emboldened Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah. I doubt that there will be any end of violence in Lebanon until one side destroys the other. As it stands this morning, if even one gunshot was to ring out near the crowds, we could easily be looking at the start of yet another Lebanese civil war.
