Barack Obama: Apostate from Islam?

Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.
So, it turns out that my suspicions were true — once again. I’m starting to really learn to trust my intuition. You see, it seems that Senator Barack Obama’s campaign has switched the language to state that he’s never been a practicing Muslim. But unfortunately for Barack, any practicing Muslim will tell you that there are no ex-Muslims, only unbelievers and that apostacy from Islam is a crime punishable by death.

So, what do we call you next week, Barack? An Apostate from Islam? If we do that, you’re going to need more Secret Service. Or perhaps the President of Iran will want a personal audience so he can try to offer you one more chance.

From Associated Content:

While CNN proved false the claims that Senator Barak Hussein Obama had been raised in a radical Islamic madrassa, today, the LA Times reports that his childhood friends and teachers report that as a boy Obama was registered as a Muslim, studied the Koran in a Muslim school, and prayed at the local mosque.

In a statement to The Times on Wednesday, March 14, the campaign offered this statement: “Obama has never been a practicing Muslim. The statement added that as a child, Obama had spent time in the neighborhood’s Islamic center. This is a departure from the earlier statement made by the Obama campaign on January 24. “To be clear, Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian who attends the United Church of Christ in Chicago.

In Senator Obama’s two books, “Dreams From My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope,” he wrote that he spent two years in a Muslim school and another two years in a Catholic school while living in Indonesia from age 6 to 10. Islam is Indonesia’s dominant religion. Approximately 88% of the population of Indonesia is Muslim, making it the most populous Muslim-majority nation in the world. Indonesia has seen a dramatic rise in radical Islam in recent years.

Today, the LA Times reports that a childhood friend of Obama’s claims that he did attend Friday prayers at the mosque–

The childhood friends say Obama sometimes went to Friday prayers at the local mosque. “We prayed but not really seriously, just following actions done by older people in the mosque. But as kids, we loved to meet our friends and went to the mosque together and played, said Zulfin Adi, who describes himself as among Obama’s closest childhood friends.

“His mother often went to the church, but Barry was Muslim. He went to the mosque,” Adi said. “I remember him wearing a sarong.

Additionally, the LA Times recounts statements made by Barack Obama’s third- and fourth-grade teacher–

“At that time, Barry was also praying in a Catholic way, but Barry was Muslim,” Dharmawan said in Obama’s old classroom, where she still teaches 39 years later. “He was registered as a Muslim because his father, Lolo Soetoro, was Muslim.”

The Times additionally reports that Obama was a registered Muslim and attended weekly religious instruction on the Koran, the Muslim holy book–

Bugs have eaten Obama’s file in the [middle] school’s archive, said Vice Principal Hardi Priyono. But two of his teachers, former Vice Principal Tine Hahiyari and third-grade teacher Effendi, said they remember clearly that at this school too, he was registered as a Muslim, which determined what class he attended during weekly religion lessons.

In three months Barrack’s campaign has gone from describing the U.S. presidential hopeful as never having been a Muslim and never having been raised as a Muslim to now having never having been a practicing Muslim.

What’s with the semantics? Statements from Obama’s campaign appear to have evolved, to say the least. While Barak’s campaign states that the senator is a committed Christian who attends the United Church of Christ in Chicago, from what friends and teachers say, it appears that for some time as a child, Senator Barack Hussein Obama identified himself as a Muslim, studying the Koran in a Muslim school and praying to Allah on Fridays at the local mosque.

It’s a wonder that more people don’t see that Barack Obama will never be President. So much time and resources wasted to attempt to elect an idea instead of a man, and all because the ignorance with regards to true Islam is so disgustingly rampant in the USA. Oh, well, at least I’m not going to be contributing to Obama’s campaign. I take pride in my frugality.

He’s apostate from Islam because his father was a Muslim and he’s not. That alone is enough for him to be considered apostate.

Now I’m looking forward to conservatives trying to make the argument that America should allow radical Islamists to determine the outcome of the U.S. Presidential elections. While we’re at it we should remember not to vote for Prince Rudy either… as an adulterer he is also up for execution under Sharia law. Of course the same is true for Bill Clinton and he managed to survive 8 years.

As for your statement, “…you’re going to need more Secret Service.” –That’s just silly.

    @Scott: I’m sorry, but you’ve failed Reading Comprehension 101.

There’s not a thing silly in what I’ve stated in my brief article this morning. There’s nothing that a brief Google can’t substantiate to be fact. Even a cursory knowledge of news from last year should be a clarification — or have you already forgotten the hoopla over the Afghani Christian-convert that wanted to bring his family back to Europe and he almost lost his head as a result. And even after he was in protection new calls arose for his death.

If you believe that my comment about the Secret Service was silly, you are ignorant of Islam, the news, real life and the world. Tell you what — there are plenty of ways to test my theories. Go walk in Mecca or Medina with a Star of David around your neck and then beg for your life an hour later before Saudi Sharia courts.

Or go preach a religion other than Islam in any number of 99% Muslim countries and see how long you go before someone threatens to shoot or stab you.

The levels to which some commentators here will drop to attempt to spin their ideas is astounding.

Barack Obama will NEVER BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. And it’s for one simple reason — he WAS a Muslim. For all I know, he still is in his heart, and that’s the question mark that will keep him out of the highest seat in the land, and if it isn’t enough, with the swirl of hate coming to America from all regions Islamic, then we deserve to be a destroyed union and just another footnote in the history books — if there are any books after Sharia takes over. There won’t be any music or dance, I know that much at the very least.

More panicked silliness. The last thing we need is more irrational cowardice in this country. I’m sure lots of Islamic extremists would LOVE to kill GWB, maybe we should just roll over and give up? Or maybe we should ask the Islamic world for their approval for each candidate.

You say, “Go walk in Mecca or Medina with a Star of David around your neck and then beg for your life an hour later before Saudi Sharia courts.”

More silliness. That’s not even comparable because I don’t rate secret service protection.

Let me explain something– terrorists can’t hurt our country. All they can do is kill a relatively few people in the most dramatic way possible and hope to create a panicked over-reaction. The whole point of terrorism is they want to scare us into defeating ourselves. It seems to be working in your case.

3000 people were killed on 911. The flu kills, on average, 36,000 Americans a year–EVERY YEAR. That means that even if there were a 911 scale terrorist attack EVERY YEAR they would still be less than 1/10th the threat to American lives as the flu. The difference is that when people die of the flu there are no planes flying into buildings, no buildings falling down, and most importantly no scary scary pictures on the TV.

Yet there you are screeching about your fear of Islam defeating us? Get a grip, take off the little frilly pink dress and try to grow some balls. The only way they can defeat us is if they frighten us into doing more stupid things like invading Iraq. The biggest victory for the terrorists in this war on terror did not occur on Sep. 11 2001, it occured the day we invaded Iraq and proved the attacks of 911 worked.

You are free to get your panties all in a bunch worrying about whether in his secret heart of hearts Barack Obama might be a Muslim, or a satanist, or even a member of the KKK. Be my guest–let your imagination run wild. But don’t expect the rest of America to join you in your fear-filled imaginings. The rest of us have lives.

If BO declared the shahada he is a mohammedan and will remain one all his life. according to the doctrine. As someone said it’s like Hotel California.

As for Scott, I would like for him to read the koran, the haditha of bukhari and muslim and the sirah (mo’s bio) by ibn ishaq. Here’s a good start:

Hot Air video: A word with Barack Obama

@Heloise: I’m prone to agree more with you than with the sentiment that Spencer reveals. I think it will not be quite so easy for Obama to escape his Muslimhood as Obama might hope and as Spencer estimates. The bottom line is that his having been a Muslim is a fact, of that I’m now sure and that makes him an apostate from Islam, and eventually, some Muslim advocacy groups will use this as leverage.

    Scott said:
“Let me explain something– terrorists can’t hurt our country.”

OK, so the acknowledgement of the existence of terrorists is there. That’s a good thing. The next logical question is to ask, “Is there a connection here?” Well yes there is…Islam.

If Scott would do a little more research about Islam, the ideology, as directly derived from it’s immutable source texts, most noticably the Qur’an, then the duty to question Obama’s childhood background would be absolutely clear.

More research into Islam and less into the average flu deaths in America each year would serve him well. 3000 in about 2.5 hours was a good start for the Islamists. They can and will attempt to break that record. The correlation between 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq is remote at best. A bad idea in hindsight? Sure. A worse idea every day we stay? Absolutely.

Scott needs to be reminded that although he claims, “The rest of us have lives.” That reality is not shared by the 3000 plus people who perished on 9/11, in a suit or a dress, in their office building, tucked safely away in NYC, where the “terrorists can’t hurt our country.”

Maybe Scott should take his own advice and “grow some balls” and do something to fight the terrorists, rather than grief on a worthy blog which only desires to spread the truth about, as Foehammer aptly calls, “true Muslims” and the harsh and insatiable reality of Islam in general.

I would like for Scott to not attack people as so many Muslems do, but to tell us why he thinks our concern about a Muslem (now or ever, practising or former) in the White House is not valid.
I’d like to know why he thinks it is so important for Obama to get elected.
Go ahead Scott, here’s your chance to sell us on your candidate.

    We’re waiting………..

You are absolutely right, Foehammer. You should never elect Obama. I’m writing to you from one of those Muslim countries. I want out. But I can’t. They’ll kill me. You can only get in, you can’t get out! Hotel California is a song. This is no song. I live in fear.

It’s true that Islam is the most violent cult that ever was. It wants to take ove the whole world, believe me. Islam will not stop at anything. I know what the Quran says and what Muhammad said and what all the radical Muslims are saying. It regards every other religion illegitimate; Islam is the only religion. Get it into your thick heads. Don’t allow Muslims to migrate into your country, I beseech you. You must fight. You must let everyone know the true nature of Islam - it’s all lies told by a madman. And no Muslim can question its teachings (not even one question, not one doubt) because the moment one questions it one becomes an apostate and the only punishment for an apostate is death! It is the most barbaric, satanic cult that I know of.

So many young people in my country want to kill you beacuse The Quran orders Muslims to kill the infidels - that’s you. Don’t be sympathetic to it - it has no sympathy for others. It is not a peaceful religion. It has only one agenda - domination. It is trying to dominate the whole world and make everyone else second class citizens (dhimmi) and take your women and children as war booty and make them slaves and wives.

The simple notion that because Senator Barak Obama has affiliation to the muslim religion, he will threaten our national security, or not fully fulfil his duty in the executive office is arrogant, presumptuous, based upon ignorance, founded upon lack of understanding of the muslim religion, lack of knowledge on foreign affairs, and lack of dedication to the constitution of the United States of America.

The muslim religion preaches no more injustice than that of christianity, or judaism. There are good muslims, and bad muslims; good jews, and bad jews; good christians and bad ones; good and bad Americans, good and bad Iranians, and so on.

I am open to any counter argument that you feel neccessary to present, however, let us please not become childish in our dicussion.

I suggest you actually learn about Islam. Try reading the Qur’an, the hadiths, the sunnas and the history of Islam. You might actually be surprised of what you didnt know.

The muslim religion preaches no more injustice than Christianity?
Every time the muslims cause trouble Christians and Jews are brought in to the argument. Why? These leftards are just like the muslims in their behavior and thoughts only their god is gaia not alla. I’m sick of every time someone is murdered by leftards or islamists everyone else is hauled under the microscope. They are sick in the head and they are a hazard, a grave threat to all of us. If you see mass murder committed today twenty to one it is a leftard or an islamist. There’s no doubt about it whatsoever. In the future look up the muslims rules regarding the births of boys. We didn’t make the rules they did, but again, it is all someone else’s faults. You say you don’t want to act childish but you use the same argument makes the same excuse I have heard kindergarteners use, wtf? Don’t want to be treated like a child don’t act like one, m-kay?
Every boy born to a muslim father is musilm or an apostate according to their rulebook, even if he didn’t go to school at a madarassa.

First, I have muslim family, and i have read the Qur’an. Not one of the muslim family members that I have met expresses hate or violent exercrations toward democracy, the US, or Christianity.

Second, your “twenty to one” argument has no base of fact: please reconisder. I am not in denial that the “acts of terrorism” commited against our country are those of Islamic extremists. However please answer me this: do you acknowledge that these acts were commited by “Extremists” and thus do not represent the will of all Islamic society?

Third, nothing is absolute. Read up on your history, no one group of people is free of expressions bearing injustice( be it Christians, Muslims, Jews, Romans, Iranians, Americans, Australians, Mongolians, Japanese, Bulgarians, ext.).

If by “leftard” you mean liberal or democrat, then I am proud to say that I am not a “leftard”. I don’t commit myself to the bandwagon of any ideological label, be it driven by an indecisive donkey, or a supercillious elephant.

As for the “rules regarding the births of boys”: Clearly this argument falls of its own weight. Frankly, what a religious organization deems law is only as firm as the believer makes it. If your religion decided that all girrafes were symbols against all that you hold dear, would you grab a rifle and start purging the earth of girrafes? Of course not… at least I’d hope you wouldn’t.

I can’t speak for the larger muslim community and I have no idea how many support this strain it could be 50 percent or more. I read the news from around the world, they really don’t try to hide what they want. No doubt there are non extremists but where have they been successful lately? The extremists have the knives, they use fear as a weapon, the schools are teaching have been teaching this radical ideology to generations of muslim youths. Many of their minds are severely warped. Did you know that when our soldiers came home from Germany after WWII they said that the nastiest suicidal extremist Nazis were
the Hitler youth. They were indoctrinated to hate in the same way. When was the last time you heard of non extremists confronting extremists? The abuse that is systemic in the muslim world, when a westerner is subjected to this type of abuse during childhood or as a young adult it has often produced serial killers we have seen this happen time and again. It is more than the ideology it is all that goes along with it that is considered a ok in their world that produces such monsters. I have seen the TV shows from the ME on wife beating/child beating, Jew hatred, American hatred, westerner hatred, hatred on top of hatred. I am not surprised by what this kind of institutionalized abuse produces. Why don’t we play, ask an apostate,
    http://www.islam-watch.org/
Remember that they are in hiding because Christians, no wait, muslims want them dead.

“do you acknowledge that these acts were commited by “Extremists” and thus do not represent the will of all Islamic society?”

No, unless you concider Mohammed an “extremist”

“Third, nothing is absolute. Read up on your history, no one group of people is free of expressions bearing injustice( be it Christians, Muslims, Jews, Romans, Iranians, Americans, Australians, Mongolians, Japanese, Bulgarians, ext.).”

The ‘ol well they did bad things to arguement so that excuses 1400 years of Islamic tyranny.

“First, I have muslim family, and i have read the Qur’an. Not one of the muslim family members that I have met expresses hate or violent exercrations toward democracy, the US, or Christianity.”

well if thats true, then Islam must be a religion of peace.

I am always hearing about the moderate Muslims who never show hate or anger towards other religions blah blah blah. But the fact is if you as a Muslim reject such teachings then you are considered an infidel by many Muslims and are also having to re-read your own Holy Book. There is NO WAY AROUND THIS! Extremism in Islam IS Fundamentalism. To reform Islam (using the Luther form of going back to essential teachings) is to be a terrorist. Islam does not need reform as we understand it in the West concerning “going back to essentials”. Islam needs to change in it’s most basic and foundational teachings. A completely different problem. The terrorists are in essence the reformers boys and girls.
