Islamic Glacier Movement in America Alert: Connecticut

This isn't a comedy scene - it's Britain

The Hartford Courant publishes a story that is going to set you on an angry tirade by the time you are done reading it:

COLCHESTER – Caitlin Dean was raised not to discriminate against others because of their race or religion. But as a white suburban teen of Italian and Irish descent, she often wondered what it would be like to be the target of such abuse.

She found out “behind the burqa.”

For the record, I myself am Italian and Irish. Unlike 15 year old Caitlin, however, I was raised with a very clear understanding of how my own ancestors were oppressed and vilified both overseas and as new Americans. It is disgusting that the story should open with such an outlandish bias based on ignorance of heritage, but it gets far worse. Read on.

The 15-year-old freshman volunteered with a few other students to wear traditional Muslim clothing to school for an entire day in February after a Middle Eastern Studies teacher at Bacon Academy announced that she was looking for students to promote her class by wearing the garb. Caitlin covered her slender frame and short brown hair with a periwinkle burqa, which concealed her face.

The hateful and abusive comments she endured that day horrified teachers, the teen and many of her classmates. The remarks underscored a persistent animosity toward American Muslims that is driven largely by the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. But they also opened up an important dialogue that could help teenagers in Colchester and across the state view the Muslim culture differently.

Yes, you read that right — the students at the high school are being setup to look like bigots by this exercise in Sharia and misogyny. Teenagers are not exactly known for tact, and I will not condone outright hateful talk, but to not hate the burqa is to simply not know what it represents: oppression of the female! The teachers send this girl out in the dress of an oppressed Muslim woman in an American school and they are expecting accolades and cheering perhaps?! I think the natural gut reaction of the students is exactly what it should have been: revulsion.

“Hey, we rape your women!” one upperclassman said as he passed Caitlin in the hallway.

“I hope all of your people die,” another sniped.

“You’re probably going to kill us all” and “Why do they let people like this in the country?” were other remarks she heard on Feb. 1.

And the rape comment comes about from Liberal Media distortions. But, of course, that doesn’t keep the reporter from jumping all over that quote. It’s as if all the three thousand plus deaths of Americans over in Iraq and Afghanistan can just be wiped away due to the actions of a handful of American military criminals, even after those criminals are tried and prosecuted. There is simply no winning the war of hearts and minds with the insane liberal defeatist and seditionist.

Caitlin’s observations that day did not surprise those who work for the Connecticut chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which arrived in the state about three years ago in response to hate crimes and prejudice against Muslims.

Almost on queue by now, like the spider-mustachioed silent movie villain, here comes CAIR again, black cape in hand and flag of Jihad behind the back with fingers crossed…

Caitlin wrote down 50 comments and names she was called. She did not respond because “I am a freshman. I like to avoid making waves.”

But when she saw a friend and a teacher who knew that Caitlin was the person under the burqa, she broke down in a classroom.

“I started crying,” Caitlin said. “There is way too much prejudice.”

The lack of understanding of Islam and of the many of the cultures that contribute to a worldwide population of more than 1 billion Muslims is something Rabia Chaudry, a spokeswoman for CAIR, planned to raise with the state Department of Education when she meets with officials in a few weeks.

Now she plans to use Colchester as a positive example in terms of discussing prejudice and raising awareness of the Muslim culture.

“I think what this teacher has done is exactly what schools should be doing,” Chaudry said.

None of the students were singled out for discipline because no formal complaints were made.

What have I been telling you for weeks now, gentle readers? CAIR is in our schools and their plan is working. You can’t possibly not see that today.

“It’s unacceptable,” Superintendent Karen Loiselle said. “It’s imperative students who are victims of those comments report them immediately and it will be taken very seriously. In this case, it has opened an important conversation.”

Wrong, Superintendent, what it has done is allowed a soft-minded fool like you to channel through the open door an Islamist movement that is attacking our children’s souls. If I was in a local PTA in Connecticut right now I would be raising Hell itself against you and everyone of your moonbat instructors that might dare support you.

Chaudry agreed and said her group would like to send representatives to meet with students in Colchester and other communities, to hold town meetings to talk about their feelings about Muslims, the war and terrorism.

Outrageous! The utter guile of CAIR is starting to make talking and writing about this not even close to enough. If you have children in school, watch out for movements of the Islamic Glacier like this. Shout when you see it. Scream when you spot a CAIR official near a classroom!

At Bacon Academy, the experience has already made a difference. Teacher Angie Parkinson, who had only 12 students enrolled in her Middle Eastern Studies classes for next year, now has 48.

A partial list of the comments to Caitlin - some were not printable - appeared in the student newspaper, the Bacon Courier, along with a front-page story headlined, “Some at Bacon Fail the Test of Tolerance.”

Caitlin called it “The Girl Behind the Burqa.”

Tolerance of Sharia Law and Islamic servitude being taught? Dhimmitude being hand-fed to our children and this is your tax-money at work?! Get on the phone right now. Call PTA meetings. Do something.

I can’t type anymore on this. I’m liable to start getting very ugly about it.

Read the rest of the article here. And I strongly encourage you to leave a comment on that article’s website.

UPDATE: This just in from the comments section at the actual article in response to me from Caitlin Dean herself it seems (edit: new information in the comments section. I’ll let you be the judge) — you won’t believe it:

Foehammer wrote:
This story is outrageous — an Irish/Italian girl having to be “taught” about dicrimination?! Do her parents not have memories of their own? I will have much to say on the bias of this report and the insane behavior of the teachers involved on my own blog. Outlaw Islam, deport Muslims and keep Sharia away from our kids! Remember who you are — AMERICANS!

you are an ignorant bag of scum. unless you’re a native american you AREN’T an american at all. you’re shaming the constitution and the first ammendment. great job, you get a gold star.

And my follow-up comment in case it ends up vanishing from that original thread:

Well there you have it folks - this is the product of our educational system.

Irish were raped and starved out of their own nation by the British for 500 years. They fought on both sides of the American Civil War right off the boats in New York harbor.

The Italians were hung from trees by bigoted mobs in the USA.

Sicilians were invaded and robbed of their rights by Muslims for over 300 years!

LEARN SOMETHING BESIDES THE ABSOLUTE NONSENSE those teachers are espousing in that academy! For all that is good in this world, speak some sense to these children, somebody up there in Connecticut. And fire some teachers while you are at it

Yes, even I am surprised by this turn of events, but the way this child has reacted should show all of us what kind of poison is being slipped into the ears of American youth. We need to stop this travesty before it goes any further and I’d love to inquire as to how CAIR has such access to the school systems as they do. It seems completely unobstructed, almost as if Chamberlain’s spirit is reigning over the principals across the country.

UPDATE! My premonition proven, my response above has been deleted from the Courant comment thread. Make of that what you will, but everything I posted in that comment is absolute fact. So, I suppose absolute fact is to be deleted by journalists now in a public forum, even though the vitriolic comment by Caitlin against my character remains.

BIZARRO WORLD UPDATE: And now after I post a challenge to the newspaper of ‘escalation’, my comment has suddenly been restored. I am going to walk away from this now and allow the Blogosphere to take over. I sincerely hope some good comes out of all this. I look forward to comments here.

TOO RELEVANT NOT TO UPDATE:

ENOUGH! I happen to be one of the girls who wore that. You are all pathetic. you’re PROVING our point. Heres a little lesson for you all:

Burqas weren’t created to “oppress” anyone. They were created to STOP all the women getting raped/beaten/killed in the 70s-80s. I’m not going into detail now but they are also good for protecting you against sandstorms and keeping the sun off your face. Once again, I’m not going into much detail right now.

So You all need to think before you post.
Also. Parkie is the best teacher i have ever had. She has taught me more than all my past teachers combined. We need more teachers like her and more classes like the ones she teaches.

And yes, Muslims and terrorists are different. Muslims are Muslims(should be obvious, but I guess not) and terrorists can be any religion. What if there were a Christain terrorist? Do you shun Irish Catholics simply because of the IRA?

Newsflash, Not all terrorists are Muslims.

We did this to prove a point, and thank you America, you proved it for us.

Shelly

And there comes the IRA line. I was hoping that line of insane equivalence-peddling still didn’t exist in our schools, but I’ve been proven wrong. I especially am troubled by “rape protection” spin put on the burqa use. By now I’m sure you are all thinking to yourselves fairly heavily on this article and the comments. It really hardly requires further typing from little old me, I’d much rather hear from you.

LAST (?) UPDATE: I attempted to leave a note in that response thread with a link to my latest project, ‘Refuting Islam’, but it was almost instantly deleted by the Hartford Courant moderator. And since I do not notice much if any traffic from Connecticut, I’d say it’s safe to say that neither of the two girls quoted in this article have managed to find their way here to the Anvil to actually access some truthful sources about Islam or look over any of the links in my sidebar. And that, my friends, is why I have to do this every single day. It will take years to alert this nation to the threat, even with me beating a dead horse, because most people won’t even accept an invitation to learn the truth, while most of the rest will attempt to cover it up or deny it.

Drama has often been used to great effect throughout Western history. The Great Tragedies still are performed.

And you’re right, Billy Bob, the world’s problems aren’t black and white as all people have a mixture of good and bad, but what is stark reality is that Islam is the source of the problems that plaque the world and even Muslims themselves are not safe from its power to deceive.

If you truly want to emulate Jesus, consider becoming a Jew.

    Peace.

    Hello Foehammer.
I hope you are doing lovely. I’m not a “revert”. Do you think it’s odd that Muslim men look more like Jesus? All Christian ministers I’ve seen shave off their beards. How about Our Mother Mary? In every picture you see of her, she is veiled with a scarf over her head. Anyways Mr Foe, I think you’re a nice guy - just misinformed buy American Media and some crazy fools who claim to be Muslim.

Cult of Destruction! wow - sounds like a Hollywood movie. You’re so dramatic! The world is not black and white - “us” versus “them”.

Any ways, I hope you’re doing well. Talk to you soon.

Farmer Billy Bob and why I allowed him to post:

You might be surprised at first that I’d even let that posting show here, but it’s exactly the kind of example of Muslims, especially “reverts” that I want you to be most aware of. He is obviously new to his professed “religion” of Islam because his English is far too good to be born outside an English-speaking nation, his immediate attack upon me as being a “white supremacist” is exceedingly telling also, and his links are even more so, since they lead to “revert” videos and such.

Then there is, but of course, the puffed-up lie of lies that gets typed over and over by small minds like Billy Bob’s — that Islam is the fastest growing religion, when in fact it is Christianity that is. Don’t take my word for that — Google and find out for yourself if you doubt. I would but my dinner is cooking.

Suffice it to say, I welcome posters like Billy Bob, because they show exactly what Islam is accomplishing in the USA and Europe, Australia and elsewhere — “reverting” the most hateful minds to their cause, people that have a vaunted need to lord over others and project their own weaknesses onto those they try to diminish. Not one thing this man even stated is factual, not one of his condemnations landed.

Poor Billy Bob: trapped in a cult of his own destruction.

i cant believe there are so many dumb, ignorant, racist white supremacists out there like yourself. All of you out there who read the “KORAN” in english and then try to provide explanation from the verses are all idiots. The proof is in the pudding. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, WHY?! Because of the truth people find in it. We love jesus more than you. plain and simple. You are blinded by your own ignorance.
