When I read the details of Nancy Pelosi’s latest Arabian adventure this morning, I about fell off my chair from shock. I’ve sensed all along that the Leftist Democrat is an absolute out-of-touch power-grabber, but I had slightly more faith in her abilities a week ago than I do today. The reason can be summed up in one question to Saudi King Abdullah:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that she raised the issue of Saudi Arabia’s lack of female politicians with Saudi government officials on the last stop of her Mideast tour.
Pelosi, the first woman House speaker, said she had not discussed King Abdullah’s recent criticism of the U.S. occupation of Iraq, focusing instead on praise for the king’s Mideast peace initiative, and efforts to quell conflicts in Somalia and Darfur.
She met with the king Wednesday and with several members of the Shura Council, an unelected advisory assembly named by the king, on Thursday.
Asked if she had discussed the lack of women on the council, she told reporters, “The issue has been brought up in our discussions with the Saudis on this trip.”
Seriously. This woman is Speaker of the House. She’s technically third-in-line to the most powerful political office in the entire history of the world and she hasn’t even read a Qur’an despite the fact that she’s so gung-ho to show her face in every Muslim den from Syria to Saudi Arabia. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of criminal ignorance on the part of someone in her position. We are at war, Nancy. Perhaps you should come to the Anvil and get a dose of reality!
So, Nancy Pelosi walks into the heart of evil in Riyadh, where half the Princes of Saudi Arabia adhere to Wahhabism, the most virulently fundamentalist version of Islam and the sect to which Osama bin Laden himself is a member, and she begins asking outrageously naive questions. I’m sure the King wasn’t even offended. He most likely laughed later over grapes in his harem and discussed how ridiculous the Americans are to continue to not see the future belongs to Islam.
But, how do I know she hasn’t read a Qur’an, you might be asking yourself. I’ll show you exactly how I know, since I have a copy right here on my desk. (And no, don’t pay attention to websites like The True Call, which is absolutely full of lies and misinterpretations of Islam. Such websites are becoming more and more common in order to spread taqiyya and deceive you, and undoubtedly many of them are funded in part or in whole by Saudi Arabians.)
First of all, there’s no equality for men and women in Islam — the Qur’an clearly states men are superior several times:
“Women shall with justice have rights similar to those exercised against them, although men have a status above women. God is mighty and wise.” Qur’an 2:228
And:
“Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guared their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those from whome you fear disobedience, admonish them, forsake them in beds apart, and beat them. Then if they obey you, take no further action against them. Surely God is high, supreme.” Qur’an 4:34
So, you see, there’s little chance of the harem-dwelling Princes of Saudi Arabia ever adopting Nancy’s idea to heart. This is the same nation that had its religious police keep girls inside a burning building because they were not properly covered according to Sharia Law. The 15 girls died painfully and horribly as a result.
Yes, our great “allies”, the Saudis; a “true Muslim” nation. And acting in their own best interests as usual, they did manage to convey at least one very important question of their own to Ms. Pelosi:
Ihsan Abu-Holeiqa, a member of the council, said the meeting with Pelosi Thursday included discussion of the new difficulties Saudis have in getting U.S. visas, with some waiting four to five months. The lengthy process followed the Sept. 11 attacks carried out by 19 hijackers, 15 of them Saudis.
“We told her there should be some movement on the visa issue because, while we understand the security needs, the situation is unacceptable,” said Abu-Holeiqa.
No, what is unacceptable is your arrogance, Abu-Holeiqa. You should have no rights to American shores at all, let alone visas for students to come here. But what’s worse is that your request and complaint are ridiculous. You already have more Saudi students studying in the United States than there were prior to 9-11! I have previously written an article on this outrageous fact.
Besides all this, Saudi Arabia is the center of the Islamic world, being home to the two holiest cities in Islam, Mecca and Medina. The Saudis are also one of the richest nations in the Middle East and use their oil riches to continuously lobby Washington and in-turn pump out propaganda to mislead Europeans and Americans into believing they are our friends despite all the efforts they make to fund terrorism in secret and Islamic “education centers”, madrassas and mosques in public around the world and right here in the U.S. Most experts agree with me; Saudi Arabia is one of our greatest enemies and most definitely not an ally.
Nancy, it’s time to come home. Remove the head scarfs, tuck them away with your other souvenirs, and never again return to the Middle East to “help” spread the goodwill of America. Our enemies are quite amused, but those of us in the know, are not.
Oh, and one more thing, Nancy — go buy a Qur’an and actually read it.

Well stated, Foehammer! Your true comments are exactly on target for this foolish woman’s power-hungry and arrogant sillyiness. I would suggest to her also that her attire and mannerisms are absolutely indecent in the eyes of any Muslim, but most especially among the Wahabbi sects of radical Islam. One wonders how much damage she, in her flights of self-glorification, has done to her own country, the USA! She has made an enormous fool of herself.
Your comments are right on, Foehammer! I am literally shocked by the abject stupidity of this woman appearing in the Islamic world indecently dressed while flaunting Muslim convention. It seems to me she stated to the effect she was implementing “The Iraq Study Group” recommendations while lashing back at US criticism of her foolish visit to the Middle East by stating to the effect “Republican have visited this region so shall I!”. Strange response, considering her enormous pride for her position as third in line for the Presidency of the United States! I am absolutely appalled by these foolish actions! How many American lives will pay for her foolishness?
not sure what to make of the speaker, but here is another very interesting post.

I don’t understand why Pelosi is sleeping with the enemy. She want to make our airports and other modes of transportation more dangerous. Maybe the House Speaker should be impeached and tried for treason.
@Resistance: Most likely she’s emulating too many other Democrats of recent years — trying for the Great Peacemaker title, but having far too little knowledge of the enemy just makes for tremendous stumbling blocks and dangerous precedent. You’re exactly right that she’s simply made things more dangerous — appeasement of Muslim leaders that are responsible for killing U.S. citizens is just a hair short of treason.
Mr. Foehammer, quick question… Why are there Muslim ads on your website… Nothing personal…

It’s a fair question and one that is asked often enough that I will probably have to add this information to my About/Disclaimer page eventually.
Basically, those ads are generated by Google. I have limited control over those because they are contextual, meaning that since Google detects so much information on this site about Islam, the advertisers deem this a good place to drop their “commercials”.
The amount of those ads that are being utilized by Muslims to recruit converts, find brides, etc. should just be one more warning sign for everyone — they have the finances to afford the advertising on the Internet and the Muslims are making good use of this technology to spread taqiyya, etc.
There’s really not much more to say. If I could afford to be rid of them, I would, but that is simply not the case and I’m not ever going to make this a members only site.
