The Road to Victory in Iraq Runs Over Iran and Islam

President Reagan and Emperor Hirohito
At the end of World War II, the United States was occupying Germany and Japan. In both cases we were dealing with the remnants of evil and false ideologies, not much different in their effects upon the native people than those we are now encountering with Islam. Yet, back at the end of that war we handled these things far differently and the results were diametrically opposite from what we are now encountering in places like Iraq, Afghanistan and our own backyard. I believe there is a very important lesson to be learned from this is and it is so obvious that it is easy to overlook.

In World War II, we Americans were the righteous victors in a just war, so we needed no excuses for the imposition of our value system upon our defeated enemies. But because we entered the ‘War on Terror’ fighting a nebulous enemy and not Nazis or Imperial Japanese, we have allowed the very enemy that we should be struggling against, the violent religion of Islam, to not only continue in these “liberated” regions, but to actually hold even more sway than previously in at least one specific case (i.e. Iraq), and to gain adherents to Islamic Jihad worldwide at a rate that has undeniably increased.

The Japanese were following Shintoism as the state religion up until 1946, when the American government and military forced Emperor Hirohito to renounce his divine status. It was the common belief among Japanese that the Emperor was a descendant of the sun goddess Amaterasu. This declaration of mortality, while not destroying Shintoism and the cultural ties within Japan that most likely will never disappear (and should not unless Shintoism unlikely adopts the militant attitudes of Islam), went a long way in opening the eyes to many young Japanese that they were indeed the masters of their own destinies and not meant to be subservient to some false god-emperor. So, slowly but surely, the intertwining of the best of American democratic values and Japanese culture had begun.

And we see the results today. Japan is a true ally of the United States in every sense of the word. Our economies are crucial to one another and our peoples are in a love affair of sorts, expressed through the sharing of food, culture, dress, philosophy, popular culture, history, trade, music, tourism and all the rest.

Now contrast this to how we are addressing the war in Iraq. We were true occupiers of a defeated enemy in Japan and yet suffered far less casualties as a result of our presence then we have as liberators of Iraq. Should this not tell us something?

We should never have allowed Islam to hold sway at all upon the new Constitution of Iraq. The Stalinist Hussein had more sense than our own American government in this regard. Hussein only allowed the usage of Islam when it suited him, but otherwise he ruled as a secularist with an iron fist. When we enter into the liberation (or occupation) of any nation and seek to impose our will upon those defeated governments, we can not fail to believe in our own system’s superiority and then push aside our value systems and allow the locals to continue to adhere to what we should instinctively understand as being antiquated and dangerous ideologies. After all, it was not Islam that gave Freedom to the world, but the ideals of Judeo-Christianity and Western Culture.

Now we have to contend with Sharia Law and its effects in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan and Europe and, yes, even the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. By not marginalizing Islam when we spend blood and treasure, we are actually empowering it. This is true folly in the very worst sense.

And so today I’m going to attempt to lay out as succinctly as possible, the road map to victory in Iraq.

At the heart of our continuing problems is the Islamic regime in Iran, and not al-Qaeda. It’s time to take out the garbage that is choking the life out of the Persian people.

IRAN

Iran aspires to bring Iraq’s oil reserves into its own control because Iran is running out of oil. Iran aspires to have nuclear power because having the means to create nuclear weapons will allow it to continue in a policy of extortion and kidnapping that are as old as the ruling Iranian government itself, but on a far greater scale. Iran seeks to become the center of power of the Islamic World. And the Iranian mullahs seek to destroy the United States and Israel. With those two “Satans” out of the way, the New Caliphate could be re-established in Baghdad, the Europeans would continue down the path towards Islam unabated and it would only be a matter of time before even China and Russia would give in to Islamists.

So, why do we still continue to play political patty-cake with Iran? Good question. And the answer is — politics. Our political leaders are afraid to mandate an attack upon Iran because of the current situation in Iraq and the upcoming Presidential elections, but the ironic part of that is, the only way to victory in Iraq is by attacking Iran! So, my advice to President Bush is simple — quit listening to political slugs and start paying attention to your toughest generals and security advisers and do what needs to be done. You’re not coming back for another term, President Bush. Do what is right.

Using our bases in Iraq as a strategic advantage to castrate Iran is exactly what they should have been built for in the first place — that and putting us in a position to acquire and/or protect Iraqi oil when needed. Global military strategy, at least when it is prosecuted wisely, is never done with a “move for a day” attitude. Contingency plans are always developed. Strategy is played well with many moves ahead, much like a Grandmaster chess player attacks his opponent across the board. Therefore, I have got to assume that our moves into both Iraq and Afghanistan, putting us in the thumb and first-finger pinch on Iran, are part of such a contingency. We had advanced warning of Iran’s nuclear ambitions and we needed to be in a position to act to stop them.

Now, the time is upon us. Attack Iran with air power and destroy the ambition for the Islamic Bomb. At the same time, destroy much of Iran’s military and Islamic infrastructure and puncture all its support systems for our continuing problems with the “terrorists” in Iraq.

Once this is done, turn a steely gaze upon another enemy.

SYRIA

Once the United States destroys the capacity of Iran’s Islamic regime, the Persians may very well find it in their souls to finally fight a revolution to retake Iran. (Much like what might very well be in the works down in Venezuela under Hugo Chavez, that friend of Iranian President Ahmadinejad.) Syria has been mucking around with Lebanon for decades, plotting and carrying out assassinations of Christian leaders and others, all in an effort to tilt power towards complete Islamic dominance and build another front-line against Israel so that she can be destroyed. So, once Iran is dealt with, Syria’s President Bashar Assad should be given an ultimatum: “Get your cronies out of Lebanon now and forever, or you’re next.”

AFTERMATH

With sufficient force and fortitude, the United States would take the head off the snake in Iran, and then we would finally see a reduction in the violence in Iraq, enough for us to extricate our troops slowly and cautiously, while still maintaining key, well-defended bases outside urban centers and within air support from our carrier fleets. Within one to two years we could have most of our troops out of a stable Iraq, Iran would no longer pose a nuclear threat, thereby far reducing the danger of nuclear terrorism abroad and here at home in the United States, and victory could safely be declared in Iraq.

This is really the only way, folks, that I can see to do things right.

There’s much more that could and should be done, however. For instance, we should do all we can to foment a revolution in Iran. With a friendly Persia as a new ally to the United States, Iraq and Afghanistan would have a far greater chance to shake off the yoke of Sharia Law and Islam one day. This is hardly something that will manifest overnight, but if we are to ever defeat Islam in the coming century, we have to lay the groundworks today.

If we are truly seeking victory in Iraq, we have to understand what it is all for. If we are looking to withdraw our troops, we have to do it the smart way. And if we are going to make the sacrifice of blood and treasure all worth it, we have to stop reacting to world opinion and just do what must be done for ultimate victory not just today, but for the longterm.

Basically, it’s time to get tough. It’s time to delve into war and own the reasons why it is sometimes very necessary to embrace violent remedies to otherwise impossible problems. We need to understand what winning in Iraq really means.

The Art of War

“All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him.” - Sun Tzu, the Art of War

I believe this is exactly what our military leaders are doing today. Iran’s Islamic leadership is under the impression that we are so tied down by their proxy warriors in the form of al-Qaeda, that we do not have the means or the will to stop Iranian nuclear technology from threatening the world. I suppose that in the coming months, we shall see who is right, but I’m willing to bet, that all things are not as they appear, and that Ahmadinejad and his Ayatollah are in for a very, very rude awakening from some very loud noises.

Islam is the enemy of the Free World. Iran is the head of that enemy. Saudi Arabia is the heart. Both will have to be attacked, one way or another. With Iran, military force should be sufficient. With Saudi Arabia, pulling our oil companies out and making the Arabs fend for themselves for a change, should go very, very far in reducing the funding for Islam that is so heatedly being produced by the Wahhabis in that nation. The U.S. government should subsidize and otherwise coerce oil companies to get out of the Middle East. If opening tracts of land in Alaska, and coastline near the United States for new oil production is the key to that, then do it. At the same time we should have our scientists working towards the goal of producing alternate fuel sources and better and ecologically safer ways to refine oil. Think of it as the new goal of America on a par with the old race to land on the Moon. If we can get rid of our need for Islamic oil, then suddenly Islam has a limp grip and the enemy is severely weakened.

But there’s so much more to be done. Huge hurdles ahead like puttting a wall on our border with Mexico. Closing our borders to Muslims. Stripping Muslims of student visas and shipping them home. And yes, outlawing Islam in the United States and redefining parts of our Constitution so that no religion has the protections therein to be allowed to one day usurp our freedoms and overturn the intent of the United States Constitution itself!

These are just tiny parts of what should be a far-ranging plan to deal with this war, but I hope that today I have put together enough of the harsh realities of how to go about this, to open more eyes to the possibilities, and to show that we are far from being defeated, if only we have the will to do what is right and necessary.

The road to victory in Iraq runs over Iran and Islam.

Wackademia Alert: Michigan Daily

Here’s an excerpt from an article that was brought to my attention this morning (hat-tip: Terp Mole) from the University of Michigan’s Michigan Daily:

When we fight a war to eliminate an Islamic fundamentalist insurgency, while we claim to not be waging a war on Islam, naturally some people are confused. We ascribed political meaning to the term, and that has consequences.

We must learn to refer to a terrorist as a terrorist and nothing more. As President Bush repeatedly preaches, Islam is a religion of peace. We must cease equating terrorists with members of a peaceful religion, unless we truly want to cause a tenth crusade.

Small Town USA vs Sanctuary City

Mainstreet, USA
Over the course of the past few weeks and this past Memorial Day weekend, I accumulated some experiences that have given me a fresh perspective on the present condition of the United States of America. This morning I’m going to share these insights with you, gentle readers.

Often people will ask me how difficult it is to preach outside the “choir” of the relatively safe fold of like-minded thinkers that tend to gravitate towards websites like my own. The answer to that is what you might expect — it isn’t easy. But it also always heavily depends on the immediate surroundings you find yourself in, and as you will come to understand quickly, the general nature of the community where you find yourself speaking to a few strangers about the threats of Islam and Sharia Law and Illegal Immigration. And yes, I have come to find that these three subjects are all so tightly tied to one another that any conversation about just one can easily swing to the others (and back) without so much as a finger-press of effort.

A few weeks ago I was invited to a friend’s birthday party and I attended graciously. I knew the event would be in a ‘Sanctuary City’, that I would know no persons at the party other than the host, and that I would most likely be surrounded by firm liberals to boot, since that’s what my friend happens to be, and birds of a feather, well, you know the rest. So, I was not surprised at all to get questioned at one point by a friend of a friend as to what my blog was about, because he’d heard rumor of it from the birthday boy. I politely warned the gentleman next to me that it might not exactly be a topic he’d want to discuss while eating dinner, and that I wouldn’t give him my web address anyway, for his sake as well as my own — a choice I soon would come to realize a very wise precaution.

The gentleman from the ‘Sanctuary City’ pressed on though, and so I relented and briefly went into the basics: Islam and Sharia Law and their effects on the United States and how they should both be outlawed. It wasn’t more than ten minutes before this fellow uttered the following phrase:

“That’s crazy talk.”

Now, you might think I’d get defensive perhaps at that point, but I’m an old hand at this sort of thing by now and I did exactly the opposite. I simply replied:

“Is it? I told you we’d have been better off eating dinner.” And I smiled and reached for my drink.

But this liberal gentleman pressed on: “So, are you saying that Danny Thomas should be thrown out of the country?” To which I lifted an eyebrow and replied: “Danny Thomas is a Muslim now? I’m not calling for the ousting of American citizens — it isn’t that simple.” But I found myself immediately predicting where this conversation was heading and fast, and since a band was playing, this wasn’t one I was going to continue in an atmosphere that deserved me as the center of attention and was best left out of a birthday party. Instead, I was going to be a sideline conversationalist under assault by yet another illogical liberal looking for a cross-burner to ridicule. Because you see, Danny Thomas is of Arab decent, but he is not, in fact, a Muslim. Marlo Thomas would have had one helluva short acting career if her daddy was.

Isn’t that interesting though, that this educated liberal mind would so quickly try to turn the focus of the conversation on its head with an instant attempt at painting me as a racist for daring to state that Islam should be outlawed in the USA?

The next thing out of his mouth, as I said, was predictable: “I have friends that are Muslims.” To which I almost responded. “Are you sure they are Muslims, or are they really Lebanese Christians, you racist bastard, and you don’t know the difference between being Arab and being Muslim.”

But at that point our food arrived and I simply smiled and said to the room: “This looks great.” Then I leaned over to my new ‘friend’ and said: “Aren’t you glad you pressed the subject now?” And I began eating my dinner and dropped the conversation.

I’m quite sure that the little episode I just described has been repeated in restaurants, bars, social gatherings, casual banter between neighbors, at sporting events and in coffee houses around this nation, in one form or another, countless times since 9-11. If you’re looking to get into an argument, talk religion or politics. If you’re looking to get into a throw-down, talk about Islam, which is both.

Some information about Danny Thomas is now in order:

Marlo Thomas is the daughter of Danny Thomas, a nightclub comedian and television and film actor of Lebanese Maronite Christian descent. He was born Amos Yakhoob in Michigan. He and his wife, Rose Marie Mantell (born Cassaniti), were likely America’s most famous Maronite couple. Rose Marie was of Italian descent. The Daily Catholic placed him 86 on the list of top 100 Catholics, just above the Blessed Cyprian Michael Iwene Tansi.

So, now you see how groups like CAIR are out and about drawing fuzzy lines between Arab and Muslim, and they are having enough success at it that a white-bread American Christian liberal is unwittingly doing their propaganda for them at a birthday party. Beware, gentle readers, because this “race card” tactic will be flung at you sometime also, if it hasn’t already, and now after reading this, I hope you are better prepared to deal with such “crazy talk” from the Left yourselves. If I had been in a different situation other than a cordial birthday party, I would have drawn-out that argument and delved into the differences between being Arab and being Muslim for my caustic listener, but that just wasn’t the time and place. But this is, today, and that is the benefit that can be taken from these otherwise awkward experiences from the past.

Now, on to the much different reception I had this Memorial Day weekend in Small Town USA.

In a traditional greasy-spoon on Mainstreet, I had cheese enchiladas for dinner and was joined by a neighbor of mine and a few members of his family at our round table, and even more were at a larger and longer table nearby with kids and grandkids. I was the “outsider” guest of honor and I was on my second day in Small Town USA and loving every minute of it. Directly across from me sat a baseball coach older than myself and his 20 year old son just arrived back on break from Texas A&M. Soon the conversation turned to where it always seems to delve when I’m around, and I was amazed to hear the coach/father say:

“I’m glad to hear someone say the things I’ve been thinking for so damn long.”

And the college student/son readily agreed with me about the need to drill for more domestic oil. His degree focus just happens to be in Agricultural Engineering. Surprised that he would understand the need? Don’t be. The young man inherited his old man’s common sense.

And that was pretty much the theme of my entire visit to Small Town USA: Common Sense Thinking.

But it gets even better. Earlier that day I was taken out to one of the top gun ranges in the country that just happens to be a mainstay of Small Town USA, and my host was my neighbor’s father-in-law, a Vietnam veteran who’s worked steel his entire life and does one terrific job at it from the looks of his custom roofing at his own house. We bought a couple of boxes of .40 caliber and 9mm ammo in addition to the .22 bullets already in the bag, and we wandered over to a part of the range to help me remember how to shoot; it had been well over a decade since I’d had the opportunity to practice with a live firearm.

I’m happy to report that by the end of the hour we spent on the range I was able to put half my clip into the head of a torso shaped target from 60 yards. I’ve still got the knack.

My gun of preference? I liked the kick and power of the heavier .40 caliber pistol. For accuracy I’m sure my own .22 pistols that were left at home would have been far better, but for actually giving that secure stopping-power feeling combined with accuracy, the particular punch of the .40 caliber round couldn’t be matched.

Elsewhere on the range were trap shoots going off and as we drove in and drove back out there was a class for women shooters with at least a dozen students going on.

Yes, Islamists, I’m here to tell you that not only is the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution safe and sound, it’s being well-practiced in corners of the USA where you’d best keep your heads down should you decide to pull off another 9-11. There are grandmas in this country that can out-shoot al-Qaeda. And I’m no slouch myself.

While talking to Small Town USA, I never once heard anything but respect for our military, support for our efforts in Iraq and admission that we have problems with Illegal Immigration and Iran that need to be addressed. Saudi Arabia was also named, and Syria. Let me tell you, it gave me new steam to see that even in a town of barely over 1,000 citizens, the truth was seeping into the soil of the American people and that the will to prosecute this war against Islamic incursions not only exists, it’s flourishing.

What a glaring juxtaposition from the Sanctuary City attitudes.

And before you think that the Small Town USA folks are ill-educated bumpkins, it should be noted that most of the people I was surrounded by in both instances attended many of the same universities as those Sanctuary City folks from the birthday party, and the kids of my friends in Small Town USA were getting ready in several cases to attend big state colleges. These weren’t hillbillies, these were teachers and property owners. These were real, tried-and-true Americans like anywhere else.

Common Sense is not dead in the United States. The People can handle the TRUTH, George W., if you ever have the guts to give it to them before you leave office, but beyond all that, the will to face this war and the necessary sacrifices is definitely intact.

This Memorial Day weekend gave me renewed hope for our nation. I hope that many of you may have found the same sort of experiences in your own journeys over the past few days, too. We need more of this honest experience, and we need more of us in the “choir” to get out and preach to the masses so that the status quo in Washington, DC is no longer good enough. We need the American people to demand action against our enemies and to see our enemies named, stamped and dated for what they are.

I believe Islam will not be blindly tolerated in the United States as members of CAIR are hoping. I also firmly believe that a backlash against idiot Representatives in our government is building and that they would be wise to pay closer attention to the determinative powers of the American People and address our concerns with grit instead of sloth, or they will find themselves out of jobs.

Sanctuary Cities and the other machinations and resulting evils of the Far Left Anarchists will have to be pulled back into step with the rest of the nation or should face the wrath of the Federal Government, which has a sworn duty to protect the sanctity of this Union of ours. Either the Constitution applies equally to all or we might as well burn it now.

It might just be up to all the Small Town USAs to save us from ourselves before the end. So, get out there and practice at the range to give yourself a refresher course. It’s your right, and one day it might very well be your duty.

Memorial Day: Talks between U.S. and Iran begin

Iran.. you're next
Interesting to choose Memorial Day as a day for the first official talks in 27 years between the U.S. and Iran. Just coincidence or could it be symbolic of some message that we intend to convey to Iran? I hope whatever is said, the Iranians get the message that we mean business and that deaths of Americans are going to be answered for. Do I think we can actually negotiate peace with Iran? Absolutely not — not until we deliver a message with fire and steel first.

Islamic Glacier in America Moving Faster: North Carolina

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with a Koran
This is going to outrage you. Write to your representatives about this dhimmi-fool Judge Ridgeway, and if you live in North Carolina or the surrounding states, be sure to write to your newspaper editors and local news channels, too.

From PipelineNews.org:

Acting against the advice of North Carolina’s Attorney General - with staff attorney Valerie Batemen stating, “The main complaint of the ACLU and the plaintiff is a political one, not a legal one” - Wake County Superior Court judge Paul Ridgeway today decided that the Quran may be used during the swearing in process for witnesses.

He’s ba-aaack

Muqtada al-Sadr
The machinations of Iran can be seen so clearly through Muqtada al-Sadr. He should be part of any victory plan in Iraq and a coming offensive against Iran. He needs to be captured, convicted and hung. However, because he is not being “dealt” with, our government and military do not truly seem to have the stomach to prosecute this war correctly. If they continue to fear upheaval among Muslims for any actions we might take against Islamic leaders that are knowingly behind jihad and the deaths of our soldiers, then how in the hell are we going to ever face up to the fact that Islam is the enemy of the Free World and that Iran in particular needs to be swatted aside? Next week I plan to put together a long overdue plan for victory in Iraq. You can bet that al-Sadr will appear on that plan, and he won’t be left alive.

Creating the Online Infidel Library

An interesting proposal from Wolfgang Bruno at Global Politician: create and maintain a virtual library of the most important reading materials for “infidels” on the Internet itself. Can it be done? You decide. I’ve taken the liberty of linking all the books recommended in this list, although I’ve also had most of them in my own library section on this site for many months:

Fatima Houda-Pepin, raised a Muslim and active in the struggle against the use of sharia in Canada, warns that the public should make an effort to get to know those in the Muslim community who are lobbying for application of Sharia: ‘One of the strengths of Islamists is that they know you very well. They know our history, they know our culture, they know our justice system.’ The reason why so many Westerners reacted with defeatism and despair over the Muhammad cartoons affair is because we are mentally on the defensive. We are reacting more than acting, waiting passively for the next Islamic move. We haven’t even named the enemy yet. The attacks of 9/11, the London and Madrid bombings were reduced to the work of ‘evildoers who had hijacked a great religion,’ not Islam itself. Muslims have been carefully studying our weak points for decades, to find ways to exploit them. Meanwhile, we have largely been ignoring them, first because we didn’t take them seriously, and later because we would not want to get involved in a global clash with the Islamic world. Get real: This is a world war, at least a cold one. War has already been declared upon us, and it is irrelevant whether Westerners and infidels like this or not. We need to recognize this and start fighting back, before we lose this fight without ever having admitted that we were in it.

It’s time to turn the tables. We’re the most powerful civilization in human history. We’ve split the atom and sent men to the moon. We can deal with a cult from 7th century Arabia, if we put our minds to it. Yes, they have a head start, but they have weak points, too. Many of them, and sometimes huge ones. Find a pressure point and squeeze. As philosopher Eric Hoffer has said, you can discover what your enemy fears most by observing the means he uses to frighten you. If we had some basic understanding of our enemy and watched him closely, we would see that he made at least two major mistakes during these recent cartoon events that we could exploit. First, he showed us his hand and his true intentions, thereby waking up millions of infidels just a little bit too early. Second: He also clearly demonstrated some of his weak points, both the extreme arrogance and the ridiculous hypersensitivity to even the slightest criticism. During the Muhammad cartoon affair, the Islamic world might as well have worn a gigantic neon sign saying: ‘We fear freedom of speech above all else. Give us bombs, just don’t send us rational criticism or mockery.’ They scream ‘We love death,’ yet cringe like shivering Christmas puddings in front of a few cartoons. If this is what they fear most, then this is where we should push harder.

Jihadist Muslims are war fetishists. Their obsession with orgies with virgins in the heavenly Islamic brothel and the close connection between death and orgasm borders on necrophilia. You don’t frighten a war fetishist with war, and you don’ scare a death cult with death. Although the use of force will sometimes be necessary to win this fight, it is important to understand that this is not Islam’s weak point. Islam is a warrior creed, a very good one. War, death and mayhem are its home ground. Free speech is ours. We should draw the enemy away from his home ground by teasing his arrogance, lure him out into the open and over to our home ground, where we have the natural advantage.

Now is the perfect time to launch an ideological counter-offensive, using the Internet. Internet censorship is still less effective in most Muslim countries than in China, and there is now a critical mass of ordinary Westerners who understand that Islam constitutes a mortal threat to their freedom. Many of them could be mobilized, if somebody leads them and shows them how. The key to winning this struggle is not to engage the silent majority in the Islamic world, but to mobilize the silent majority in the West and in the infidel world, and perhaps the minority of ex-Muslims within the Islamic world.

The idea of using the Internet to spread critical thinking isn’t new, although it is not always directly linked to Islam:

In Arabic, “Internet” Means “Freedom”

Somewhere in Baghdad a man is working in secrecy to edit new Arabic versions of liberal classics. He has made Arabic translations of more than two dozen articles and nine books and booklets. Sponsored by the Cato Institute, he joins a small but growing assortment of Arabic-language blogs promulgating liberal ideas. “No more than 10,000 books were translated into Arabic over the entire past millennium,” says the U.N., “equivalent to the number translated into Spanish each year.” “The Internet is a historical opportunity for Arab liberalism,” Pierre Akel, the Lebanese host of one such site, metransparent.com, said. “In the Arab world, much more than in the West, we can genuinely talk of a blog revolution.” The U.N. report notes that in the Arab world’a region of 284 million’a book that sells 5,000 copies qualifies as a best-seller. The Internet, in contrast, makes possible worldwide, instant distribution, at a nearly negligible cost.

However, some books critical of Islam are already available online, and more will probably be added:

Call for Internet Publication of Sex, Sharia and Women in the History of Islam.

This is a call for the Internet publication (and eventual translation) of the book Sex, Sharia and Women in the History of Islam by Marywan Halabjaye. The book concerns how Islam is allegedly used to oppress women. Halabjaye’s book is based on an analysis of the Qur’an as well as recognized Sunnah and Hadith. This call for Internet publication is based on the belief that the best response to those who would suppress publication of a book is to increase publication, promotion and distribution of that book. The most efficient way to do that is on the Internet. This request is also based on the belief that it would be a powerful and timely lesson if the only thing accomplished by those who seek to suppress publication of the book Sex, Sharia and Women in the History of Islam is to cause it to be published to the entire world.

I have advocated the idea of creating an organized network to promote Islam-critical books in cyberspace. Maybe a dozen or more blogs and websites could form the global backbone of this network, the cyberspace version of Radio Free Europe. This to make it more difficult for hackers to block the efforts, and to disseminate the books as much as possible. The websites should preferably be based in the USA, since it has the strongest protection of freedom of speech, or at least outside of the jurisdiction of the Eurabian Union. Start with those who are already in the business, for instance Jihad Watch, Faith Freedom International, Little Green Footballs, Michelle Malkin and others. These ‘backbone’ websites should receive financial compensation for this task. Anybody, anywhere should be able to download the books or republish them at their own websites. This would bypass media censorship and create an Online Infidel Library. It would mirror the online library Google is trying to create now, but with books about Islam only. The information would spread around the planet faster than CAIR can say ‘Islamophobia’. The genie would be out of the bottle, and no amount of intimidation, hacker attacks or ‘hate speech’ lawsuits could return it to the bottle.

I have been contacted by at least one person who was pondering the possibility of financing and hosting critical books on Islam on the Internet, and wondered whether this was feasible. To publish in English a handful of these books on the Internet isn’t too complicated, it just requires some private individual or group of people with sufficient means to buy the copyrights and support the backbone websites and it could be done quickly. I don’t know all of the practical details of how much such an operation would cost. But since the entire text of these books would be put online for free, I reckon one would have to pay significant sums to buy the copyrights. The good thing about starting out with private citizens is that we would directly engage the silent masses who are fed-up with Islam and Islamic demands. If our so-called leaders won’t lead this fight, then we will have to push them and force their hand. They only feel pressured by Muslims now, it’s time they feel some pressure from infidels, too. That goes for European politicians in particular.

However, when you increase the number of books and thus costs, and certainly when you start with translations into multiple languages, it probably becomes too complicated and time-consuming for private citizens to undertake. I have suggested publishing Bat Ye’or’s book ‘Eurabia’ online, both in the full version and in abridged versions, translated into multiple European languages. Some of the most important Islam-critical books should also be translated to major non-Western languages, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Persian, Turkish and so on. I envisioned this to receive clandestine support of, for instance, the US government. It is unlikely whether they can or want to do so openly, but the amount of money it would cost would be peanuts compared to what the Iraq campaign costs on a single day and could be provided secretly. This could be called Operation Theo van Gogh, or perhaps Operation Asma bint Marwan, after the poetess who was murdered by Muhammad’s thugs for mocking Islam.

NOTE: The following list of books is based solely on my own subjective views. The authors have not been consulted about whether they would agree to publish their books on the Internet, and it is quite possible that some of them might object to this. However, it is likely that several of them would agree to this, provided that they get adequate financial compensation for this. The number of suggested titles could easily be doubled, but any such Online Infidel Library would probably include some of the books I have listed here. I have read most of these books myself, but include some by reputation or recommendations from people I trust:

Body found in Iraq is Calif. soldier

A sad AP report delivers the inevitable news:

BAGHDAD - Thousands of U.S. and Iraqi troops fanned out across the fields of southern
Iraq in scorching temperatures Thursday as the military said it remained determined to find two missing U.S. soldiers after the body of a third was pulled from a river.

Also Thursday, a car bomb targeting a funeral procession in the turbulent city of Fallujah killed at least 26 people, police and medical officials said.

26% of ‘fighting age’ Muslims in America support Jihad

Islamberg
Yes, that’s right, 26% of young adult Muslims wouldn’t mind seeing you blown up “in order to defend Islam from its enemies.” That means that if they could attach a bomb to the Anvil and send these pages sailing into the stratosphere, they’d be all for it.

Islam has enemies. I’m one of them. I get to be “blowed up good”, too. (My apologies to Second City for that allusion.)

Now, when you read this New York Post article, pay very close attention to the language coming from the Muslim respondents. I’ve put things in bold-type that should make you read “between the lines”, things that should alarm you in that extra-special alarming way. For instance, Jihadists will always seek to find a mandate to attack enemies in a “defensive” manner, because self-righteous reasons most suit zealots. Look around the world and you will always find Hammas or Hezbollah or al-Qaeda or Iranian mullahs manufacturing reasons for their outrageous actions and terrorism, all in the name of “self-defense”, like when the Iranians kidnapped those British sailors but claimed they were in Iranian waters.

And even the Muslims that might seem so innocuous today, could so very easily be lying or turned into your enemy tomorrow. Or they are raising your future killers in their homes and in our schools until the “time is right” for the New Caliphate.

Even more alarming? Look at these percentages and remember that truly tiny minorities in their countries at the time, like Mussolini’s Italy or Hitler’s Germany, turned entire populations towards world war. So, how are we supposed to just ignore far larger ripples in the waters of the USA and say that “we accept Islam” in our midst? I’ve already stated quite clearly how I feel about that idea.

As you read this next article, decide for yourself what the Muslims in America really mean, what they intend for themselves and how far you might trust them. But here’s one last thing I have to say on all this. I have a barometer for trusting people. It’s quite simple really:

Would you trust a Muslim to babysit your kids?

If you answer NO to that question, then you’re already aware of the problems with Islam, and guess what — you’re smarter than you think you are.

Onward to the latest “good news” from Islam:

TIME BOMBS IN OUR MIDST By DOUGLAS MONTERO and ANDY SOLTIS

One out of four young U.S. Muslims believe suicide bombings against innocent civilians are OK to defend Islam, a disturbing new poll revealed yesterday.

The nationwide survey - one of the most exhaustive ever conducted of American Muslim attitudes - also found widespread doubt that Islamic terrorists carried out the 9/11 attacks.

But at the same time, three out of four U.S. Muslims are worried about the rise of Islamic extremism around the world - and more than 60 percent are “very concerned” it will grow in America.

The survey - revealing possible radicalization of homegrown American Muslim youth - included more than 1,000 of the nation’s estimated 2.35 million Muslims and was conducted in English and several foreign languages.

The most shocking responses came when those surveyed were asked whether suicide bombings and other violence against civilians can be justified “in order to defend Islam from its enemies.”

Thirteen percent said it can be justified, at least on rare occasions.

Among those under age 30, that 13 percent doubled to 26 percent.

Young New York Muslims questioned yesterday said attacks on innocent victims are wrong.

Ah, yes, but what’s an “innocent victim” in the eyes of “true Muslims”?

But they said they can understand why foreign Muslims would sacrifice their lives against soldiers in conditions they consider “war.”

“If it’s for no reason, then it’s no good. If it’s in self-defense, to protect others, then it is right,” said Youns Hussein, a 21-year-old store owner from Brooklyn of Yemeni descent.

The relatively high poll support for suicide attacks deeply worried many experts yesterday.

“It is a hair-raising number,” said Radwan Masmoudi, president of the Washington-based Center for the Study of Islam and Democracy.

The poll question didn’t specify whether the suicide bombings being asked about would be in the United States or in other countries.

Among the poll’s other disturbing findings was that only 40 percent of U.S. Muslims believe that Arabs carried out the 9/11 attacks. Another 28 percent don’t believe it - and 32 percent said they had no view.

Among 28 percent who doubted that Arabs were behind the conspiracy, one-fourth claim the U.S. government was responsible.

Only 26 percent of American Muslims believe the U.S.-led war on terror is a sincere effort to root out international terrorism.

When it comes to U.S. military operations, three out of four people surveyed said the decision to go to war in Iraq was wrong - and 48 percent said using force in Afghanistan was wrong.

The poll found homegrown support for al Qaeda. Five percent of those surveyed had a “very favorable” or “somewhat favorable” view of the terrorist group. But 58 percent had a “very unfavorable” opinion.

And only 3% of Germans were what we would classify as Nazis when the National Socialist German Workers Party first rose to power. Getting the ‘Big Picture’ yet?

On Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, The Post found mixed views among Muslims about suicide bombing and 9/11.

Mostafa Basraoui, 52, a chef, said his religion does not allow suicide under any circumstances.

“In Islam, the theory of killing yourself doesn’t exist,” he said.

But throwing your life away in the cause of Jihad does. This might not amount to literal suicide, but striving to fight in a way that ultimately has no hope of survival surely fits the bill when it comes to Islamic Jihad. Oh, you tricky, tricky Muslim apologists.

Abderrahim Afennah, 24, a janitor from Morocco who lives in Manhattan, said he was “completely against” suicide attacks “because I consider it terrorism.”

But he and many others also said Muslims were not behind 9/11.

“I do believe people who are not Muslims did it intentionally to harm the view people have of Muslims,” he said.

Ali Ismail, 24, a New-York-born Palestinian who owns two grocery stores, agreed.

“I think it was the government, President Bush, so that he could have a reason to go into Afghanistan, Iraq - and before you know it he’ll be in Iran,” said Ismail.

Some suggested Jews carried out the World Trade Center attacks.

“Some people say it was the Jews. They just wanted to make the Arabs look bad,” one Muslim teenager told The Post.

Yes, because we all know that the Arab Muslims need help in looking “bad” to the rest of the world….

A St. John’s University graduate student, who gave his name only as Sam, expressed mixed views on suicide bombing.

“I don’t know if it’s wrong and I don’t know if it’s right,” he said. “Murder is wrong, but why, when you go to war, it’s all right to kill?”

He added, “I don’t agree that if you walk into a day-care center and do it” it’s acceptable.

The Pew research found most Muslims say they have moderate views, middle-class values and are adjusting to America. Seventy-eight percent described themselves as “very happy” with their lives.

But when asked if they considered themselves an American or a Muslim first, only 28 percent said American.

*DANGER, WILL ROBINSON* *WARNING, WARNING*

The survey also found contrasting views of what it’s like to be an American Muslim after Sept. 11, 2001.

Fifty-three percent said life has become “more difficult” while 40 percent said it hasn’t changed very much.

And despite reports of anti-Muslim discrimination, 73 percent said they had never been a victim of it in America, the poll found.

Answer: That’s because those reports are lies perpetuated by organizations like CAIR in order to create more political and legal inroads for the future Islamic agenda.

The survey found U.S. Muslims are optimistic - even about the Mideast conflict. Sixty-one percent believe a way can be found for both Israel to exist and for the rights of Palestinians to be respected.

Among other poll findings:

* 71 percent agree that in America, “most people who want to get ahead can make it if they’re willing to work hard.”

* 43 percent said U.S. Muslims should “mostly adopt American customs and ways of life.”

* 72 percent said religion was “very important”.

* 61 said homosexuality should be discouraged.

In my opinion, the Muslims to fear are not at all “radicalized” or “extreme” with regards to Islam. The Muslims that use those labels are, again, either lying to hide their true intentions, or they aren’t “good Muslims” themselves, and just as likely spend their secret time viewing porn or drinking alcohol as they might pray five times a day. So, who are you going to believe?

I’ve learned to trust my instincts on this. Call me crazy, but I want Islam outlawed in the United States and I’ll stick to that idea for now until someone comes up with a better solution.

Democracy to Anarchy Alert: New Mexico

An article at Family Security Matters relates more disturbing details from the Illegal Immigration frontlines:

Just when I thought politics in New Mexico could not possibly become any more bizarre — they did. The police department for the state capitol, Santa Fe, has made the decision to hire Mexican Nationals (NOT US citizens) as ‘law enforcement’ officers. In this way, the new Mexican (not US) police officers can ensure that illegal immigrants are given the special privileges the anarchistic hordes have decided they deserve. And, New Mexico has begun the secession from the US, in order to no longer have to adhere to its pesky laws.

Iran’s secret plan for summer offensive to force US out of Iraq

Iran's Proxy War
Here’s a snippet (hat-tip: Sheila) from The Guardian that details inside information about an expected upswing in the Iranian-sponsored violence in Iraq. This is hardly news to me, but it is interesting to read anonymous quotes from American officials to the same effect as I have been warning of for so many months:

Disney turns into a mouse

The Hamas Mickey-clone used to teach children jihad

From Australia, another opinion worth commenting on (thanks Rosie) from the Andrew Bolt Blog:

Usually fierce in defending its copyright, Disney goes all timid when confronted by a terror-preaching Mickey:

The Walt Disney Co. didn’t speak out when Hamas militants used a Mickey Mouse look-alike to preach Islamic domination because the company felt it would be ineffective, Disney’s chief executive said Monday.

Well, what can we expect now, living in a culture of fear and denial like we do today? The entire world is in fear of annoying Muslims because Muslims kill people that annoy them.
