From Australia, another opinion worth commenting on (thanks Rosie) from the Andrew Bolt Blog:
Usually fierce in defending its copyright, Disney goes all timid when confronted by a terror-preaching Mickey:
The Walt Disney Co. didn’t speak out when Hamas militants used a Mickey Mouse look-alike to preach Islamic domination because the company felt it would be ineffective, Disney’s chief executive said Monday.
Well, what can we expect now, living in a culture of fear and denial like we do today? The entire world is in fear of annoying Muslims because Muslims kill people that annoy them.
Disney is worried about retaliation in its very vulnerable theme parks. It’s a just concern. It doesn’t excuse the continuing silence and appeasement, but it is true to the symptoms of today. We can’t really expect Disney to stand up to Islam when the United States government won’t even do it.
Let’s all be quiet as mice until we turn into lemmings and walk off the cliff:
Shhhhhh…..aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!

Exactly my thoughts when I heard this report yesterday. But………it is a religion of Peace, why are they so afraid?
……..stevereenie
foehammer - I think you’re right. Disney is afraid of attacks on its own Mecca and Medinah and so they don’t say anything.
Makes perfect sense.
The bastards win…..again. But as you said, if the US government won’t fight the battle why should Disney?
Well, it will be interesting if more Disney copyrights are violated in the near future and if Disney still does nothing. I would guess the fierceness will return as long as it’s not the religion of peace doing the violating.
watch that space…. I have written a novel entitled “A Plague On Both Houses” and will self-publish by July. In it I do use certain Disney assets fictiously - although used to provide a semblence of reality - the events portayed are entirely figments of the author’s imagination.
But we’ll see what they do… being that I’m just a single person who abides by Western civ’s rules of conduct and by myself pose no threat to the corporation’s assets through physical attacks as would Hamas. I can only guess that they’ll come after the likes of me much stronger than they will go after the flagrant rip-off character Farfur, a bad impression of Mickey who tries to brainwash young Muslim children into eternal fighting against ‘da Joooos’ in Israel.
Pathetic if this is true. I hope Disney proves me wrong, but I doubt it.
I look forward to one day reading your book.
Thanks Foehammer - I’m thinking that I’ll ask you to read it and will donate the cost of the book to your site. Do you have a donations or payment mechanism somewhere here? That way we don’t have to worry about postal addresses.
Here’s a one-page summary of the story:
A PLAGUE ON BOTH HOUSES
by
Zack Highstreet
The Good Life just isn’t good enough for BEN ADAMS. He has it all, but his need for revenge won’t let him enjoy any of it. At first he fights by proxy, becoming a cyber terrorist when he hijacks a terrorist weblog site. Ben removes key pieces of information the terrorists need to release a cloud of weaponized Bubonic plague over one hundred thousand men, women and children enjoying the Fourth of July at theme parks on both coasts. It never occurred to him that foreign intelligence agencies might be monitoring the site as well. He balances on the sharply-pointed tip of crisis; on one hand working with the Mossad to find and destroy the terrorist cells, while simultaneously trying to pull the FBI along to salvage his future. The dark cloud of Plague bacterium hangs over it all. Ben knows the stakes and knows he must see this through to the end, but first he must confront the childhood traumas that define him emotionally before he can steady himself for the long, lonely walk he will have to take.
Ben feels compelled to equalize life’s balance sheet again — he needs to repay his brother’s memory by making terrorists suffer but he can’t see that it will cost him nearly everything and everyone he loves.
