I completely disagree with the following sentiment that comes from an article by M. Zuhdi Jasser @Family Security Matters:
Most should understand that strategically, identifying Islam as the problem, immediately alienates upwards of one quarter of the world’s population and dismisses our most powerful weapon against the militant Islamists the mantle of religion and the pulpit of moderate Muslims who can retake our faith from the Islamists. The majority voices in the middle, the non-Islamist and anti-Islamist Muslims who understand the problem, have to be on the frontlines. They cannot be on the frontlines in an ideological battle being waged, which demonizes the morality of the faith of Islam and its founder, the Prophet Mohammed. We cannot win this war only on the battlefield. Political Islam has a viral recurrence in the form of an infection which needs a Muslim counter-jihad in order to purge it. Thus, we cannot win this ideological war without the leadership of Muslim anti-Islamists. The radical and political ideologies of Islamism, Wahhabism, Salafism, Al Qaedism, Jihadism, and Caliphism, to name a few, cannot be defeated without anti-Islamist, anti-Wahhabi, anti-Salafist, anti-Al Qaedist, anti-Jihadist, and anti-Caliphist devout Muslims.

If we can not identify evil and falsehood and confront them, then what are our lives worth? I believe in universal good and evil; I always have. When people attempt to tell me that I have to compromise with the evil in order to win for the good, I simply scoff. There is a time and a place to manipulate the system for the greater good, to don the mantle of the lion instead of the lamb, but there will never be a time when it is right to perpetuate absolute evil and lies. Islam traps millions of people within its mythology because they have not been given the opportunity to know anything different and they are threatened with death for leaving Islam’s confines. Because some members of its cult might be our allies in a fight against what even they perceive, at the brink of the void, as virulently evil and a threat to themselves, does not mean that we should allow Islam to become part of our societies.
Here is the compromise I’m willing to make.
You stay over there. I’ll stay over here. If the ummah is so predisposed to look down its nose at all non-Muslims, then stay separate from us. This is what you prefer, is it not, you billion-and-a-half strong Muslims?
It sure is what I would prefer.
So, if Islam is something we as a species are “stuck with”, then I suggest we allow them to “stick to it” behind their own borders.
Now, here’s the catch — they won’t ever do it. Islam proves each and every day that it is always going to seek “excuses” to wage jihad. Any means necessary will be created to make it seem that the Muslims are “retaliating” for some perceived transgression. Even if all the oil in the Middle East evaporated overnight and every Westerner moved out of that region because there was no longer black gold to drill or a reason to spend military power to defend our mutual interests, the Islamists would still come across our borders, plot against us and attack us in greater and more horrific ways.
Islam can not co-exist successfully with the Republic of the United States of America. It’s like a baby python that seems unassuming for a few years and then eventually you wake up one night and its 10′ long body is wrapped firmly around your neck and is squeezing the life out of you. Even if American Muslims succeed in an Islamic Reformation on our soil, such a thing will never be accepted overseas. Then what? Civil wars between factions of Muslims on our soil in addition to in Iraq and the majority Islamic portions of the globe, as well as Canada, Australia and Europe and Russia and Chechnya?
No. I’m sorry, but I will not accept Islam in the United States under any circumstances. I tolerate it now only because I’m a law-abiding citizen, but I know that when the genie is completely out of the bottle, the American people will understand what I’m typing here today in ways that right now they can not imagine being true, because so many are still living the fantasy that our nation can remain a multicultural melting pot for ever and ever successfully.
One day not so many years from now, we either put the stopper in the genie bottle or we will have one hell of a fight on our hands here, there and everywhere. What’s it going to be?
I say that Islam must go. The diseased mind of Muhammad will not reign over all parts of this globe, not as long as men and women of courage and resolve who value freedom and reason still exist.
I know — I’m a bastard. But at least I’m an honest one with a talent for seeing the future through the lens of history. Ignore me at your peril.

I know it’s been a while - just hoping someone reads the comments of a new person with opinions.
To the people on this site: Know your enemy.
If you had a brother and both shaired a land, and negotiations went on about how to split it while an unnoticed neighbour was watching…and this neighbour goes over to kill your son…you will think it was you brother who did so in the midst of your fights and then react by maybe killing your brother’s son. This is where the chaos happens and the neighbour gets what he wants: the land.
To those who want Islam to be separate: Well…in the past it always was. UNTILL…the French and the Brits came over…then threw the Israeli’s in the middle of the region…Left…and got the Americans to take over by helping Israel. And America went in to Iraq and interfeared with the wars going on with Israel…who was it that crossed the borders, not the muslims…They were just idiots for counting on the developed west to come in with their own devloped and democratic ways that don’t fit in with their’s. Who let them in…not the one’s looking out for the people, but the great leaders who looked for the money from the developed west, Idiots. And hense came the neigbour that would cause the civil wars by planting lies through media. The civil wars in Iraqu, Lebanon, Palistine, Pakistan etc…this is what the neighbours wished for…
To the Muslims who live for wrong Jihad without knowing what Islam is: You are not muslims, you only increase the reason for more media lies from the west and give Islam the worst name ever. You add to the crisis in all muslim and arab areas.

Where’s the ‘bullying’? By speaking out about what Islam teaches? And what, specifically, do you disagree with in this post? And what on earth on this site has led you to believe that the people on it are all Christians?

Hell, I do not like theirs either. As a muslim cannot pledge allegianco to America, let’s simply deport their ass summarily. Contact your representatives and insist that all visas and residence permits for muslims be denied and revoked. Let’s arrange bumper stickers with “Beautify America, Deport muslims”.

It is now the next day and I am still waiting for your response. You’ve had more than sufficient time to give me the examples of how this site is “perpetuating this hatred” and “causing this “war””. I’m waiting to see the evidence of, “You are attacking a religion and a people whom you know very little about.”
This is not about winning arguments. This is a serious topic and you have brought forth very serious accusations. You had plenty to say when making these accusations, and all I am asking for is the examples on which you base these accusations. On a site with as much information as this, you should easily be finding many of them right?

I have no personal connection to Foehammer personally. But I’ve read the site long enough (and read enough on my own as well) to know that he does know what he’s talking about.
Your comments are too vague. It is too difficult and time consuming to explain the entire breadth of Islamic teaching in every single comment to every single person.
So why don’t you point out something specific that Foe has said here, that you feel is inaccurate. Then we can look at it and see if that is so.
These generalized accusations don’t get us anywhere. Bring up something specific that we can discuss.
If this is a battlefield, then why do you not attack my arguments, you merely attack me. You claim that it is me whom has only done a cursory study of Islam, despite my many factual notations in your forum. You however, have yet to give me a basis for your hatred. You have not quoted the Qur’an once, the Hadiths once, or history once. You merely attack me. Why is it that you choose to attack the person whom you do not know, as opposed to attacking the issue? Actually, don’t answer that, just show me what is so wrong about Islam and I will attempt to defend it.
And I will not ask forgiveness for attempting to rectify the ignorance of others. I am ignorant of Islam, but you are too. The difference is that I am attempting to rectify my ignorance through scholarly learning. I study the roots, you attack the symptoms. You do not know weather or not I am accredited in my knowledge of Islam because you have not asked, you have merely assumed that because I take a different point of view then you, I could not possibly be learned in the subject.
