A 17-year-old girl has been stoned to death in Iraq because she loved a teenage boy of the wrong religion.
As a horrifying video of the stoning went out on the Internet, the British arm of Amnesty International condemned the death of Du’a Khalil Aswad as “an abhorrent murder” and demanded that her killers be brought to justice.
Reports from Iraq said a local security force witnessed the incident, but did nothing to try to stop it. Now her boyfriend is in hiding in fear for his life.
Miss Aswad, a member of a minority Kurdish religious group called Yezidi, was condemned to death as an “honour killing” by other men in her family and hardline religious leaders because of her relationship with the Sunni Muslim boy.
You can hear the swarming mob chanting “Allahu Akbar!” while killing this girl and watching her suffering. If “God is the greatest” and endorses this kind of monstrous behavior, he is certainly no God that I am familiar with.

i must state that honor killings are in no way associated with the Islamic faith. They come from one of the many laws established by the Nepoleonic code. Americans also follow this law. An example would be when a doctor kills his patient in an attempt to save their life. Yes, the code they use to justify their killings originated in the Western Civilization! i am not defending the act of honor killings, i’m just stating that the killings have nothing to do with religion despite whatever religious remarks you may hear in the videos. It has to do with “family honor” in which all cases (muslim, buddhist, christian, etc.) women have to pay the price. My advice…try to do some research before you post something ignorant.
@Atheist: It’s important for you to press the ‘Show All’ pages in this thread and read through, because I’m not going to answer another atheist that believes they have the right to condemn all religions because of the actions of Islamists.

Islam brings along its own evil conduct and Sharia Law its own. The two may not be the same but they are obviously related like conjoined twins.
I don’t know why people even bother trying to convince me otherwise when I have seen so many vile atrocities on video myself over these past years and all of them committed by Muslims in the name of Islam for one reason or another.
What happened with these Yezidi is a prime example of Sharia Law. And beyond that, since Islam itself is simply a manifestation of heretical thinking by Muhammad piled on top of a base formerly animist tribal ways and then trumped up into a monotheistic cult to suit his own ends and carnal lusts, nobody should ever try to make Islam out to be some noble religion. That is an insult to our collective intelligence as human beings once the history and culture behind Islam is examined more closely.
