The Islamist enemy is never idle; it is plotting continually and what is being investigated this morning is simply proof that eventually devastating murder will slip through the cracks and cost us all dearly again, and again. Keep telling yourself that this is the symptom of a “tiny minority of extremists”. If that lie helps you sleep better at night, good for you.
Intelligent opinion from The Spectator Blog:
One of the great delusions of our time is that once Blair, in the UK case, and Bush, in the American one, stepped down from office the terrorist threat would disappear. The news that a car bomb attack was foiled in London last night illustrates just how wrong this belief was. Although, the fact that the vast bulk of planning for the 9/11 attacks was done during the Clinton presidency should have shown people how wrong-headed this idea was in the first place.
One of challenges facing the new Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is developing the authority to reassure the nation in these kinds of situations. At the moment, she has no public profile to speak of and lacks the commanding presence that John Reid had during the airline plot.
Michelle Malkin has most of the links you’ll need to stay on top of this situation and FOXNews is doing a good job of covering live.
Best of luck to Gordon Brown, the UK’s new Prime Minister, on day two of his term in office.

It’s time to start spraying for cockroaches and pigeons to rid these pests. It’s too bad. We westerners don’t feel safe anymore. We have to constantly look over our shoulders because the enemy has infiltrated us. I know that the PCs will defend the enemy.
And even though London has more cameras filming public places than anywhere else in the world, not a single photograph of the culprits has been released. So they run freely.
I’ll bet it’s more political correct nonsense at work, even at the expense of security.
Western leaders come and go but Islamania never changes. Its goal is total world domination or total world destruction. Such a simple truth and yet so few realize it-no wonder we’re losing this war against barbarism.
@Islamsforlosers: I have to sadly agree. Our current crop of political leaders is the worst I’ve seen in my lifetime.
