I just received the following alert from reader/contributor, A Plague On Both Houses. I’m not sure if this will be an actual airing of documentary footage from the film ‘Islam vs Islamists’, but it still sounds like an important viewing opportunity. Should anyone reading here at the Anvil get more details on Saturday’s scheduled production, please post a comment here or contact me so that I may update this entry.
From FoxNews:
Banned By PBS: Muslims Against Jihad — Sat 9p/3a EST
It’s a riveting documentary about moderate Muslims fighting jihadists who want us dead … but was it stifled by liberal bias?
The special may air footage from or pertaining to the following banned-by-PBS documentary:
Los Angeles Screening Introduction with Frank Gaffney
More from the L.A. Screening intro and discussion of CAIR
Glenn Beck CNN Headline News-PBS censors Documentary
‘Islam vs Islamists’ contains footage that must be seen by the American public. The little I have seen of it leaves me to come with no other conclusion. So, I urge you to tune in on Saturday night for any chance at all to see footage from ‘Islam vs Islamists’, or anything closely related.
Information is power and this is a war. Don’t ever forget that.
UPDATE: PBS may yet air ‘Islam vs Islamists’ on select PBS stations, but that isn’t good enough. It should be a national release without any handcuffs. More info.
UPDATE: New info published on FoxNews.com:
Saturday, June 23 at 9 p.m. ET
Repeats Sunday, June 24 at 3 a.m. ET
Hosted by E.D. HillTune in this weekend, as FOX News Channel presents the documentary the Public Broadcasting System didn’t want you to see.
It’s a film about the difference between moderate Muslims and the radicals who want to kill us. It asks where are the moderate Muslims and why aren’t they speaking out against the jihadists? And it was financed with $675,000 of taxpayers’ money.
It was commissioned as part of the PBS series “America at the Crossroads” about the post 9/11 world, but PBS executives rejected it.
PBS claims the filmmakers were “alarmist, overreaching and unfair.”
The filmmakers say they were censored because of liberal bias at PBS.
On a topic this important, we think you have the right to decide for yourself.
