Democracy-in-action: Anvil-style

OK, I have to run some errands today. But while I’m gone you get to get started on dealing with the issue of whether a particular reader here at the Anvil continues to keep his commenting privileges or not. Does he stay or does he go? You can vote once in the sidebar poll (which will remain static and active until just after midnight Central time) and this democratic vote will usher in Fate.

:ban:

For more details, see the comments here.

Do your duty, gentle readers. Enter the poll and pull the lever.

FINAL RESULT:
8 to 5. Banned.

    Hey Foehammer,
Haven’t posted here since then, put myself in the penalty box for a time. I would like to apologize to you for causing you such a headache. Ok so I was feeling little pain and I allowed myself to get angry and tell someone to fark off and now their feelings are hurt, boo hoo. Well I am not inclined to go on a rampage burning and killing when I get mad so who cares? You have read my posts at JW and you know that I don’t write that way as a rule so don’t expect to see that very often if at all.

I vote A, you know where I stand regarding free speech, you know that I don’t even recommend removing islamists from youtube, imho the more information the better. Censorship, political correctness only aid the islamists, confrontation and exposure through any venue is our number one ally in this battle a battle for the control of the planet, you can choose to believe it or not, either way it doesn’t change the facts. It’s all there written down for all to see, the islamists are not afraid to say exactly what their intentions are.

And to the person in question on this thread, hate speech, gimmie a break, I don’t have the time or energy to hate you or any of your compatriots and even if I got paid to hate you I still wouldn’t do it. Why, you just are not worth the trouble to waste part of my life hating you would truly be a waste. Besides, you no doubt hate yourself and for that I kind of feel sorry for you. Again Foe, great site, thanks for your service and I will try to be nice.

@tgusa: Well, glad you haven’t completely deserted us around here. Add your vote either way. It’s nice and democratic today.

And nobody has to be particularly nice around here, I would just prefer my comments not to look, as 1389 put it, like a bathroom wall.

It’s not political correctness for me to want to be taken seriously as a blogger by maintaining civility to a reasonable degree and to not require an R rating banner draped across a corner of my blog. I just want people to understand my limits and to not turn the Anvil into a place that younger readers and the uninitiated fear to tread.

    Thanks for commenting again.

“political correctness only aid the islamists”

No. Yeah. You’re right, screw being politically correct! In fact, I think the entire 2008 presidential line up should throw political correctness right out the window! I’m sure that’d work out.

    “Fark off” buddy.

I hate myself? Whoa… At least when I blog 3+ paragraphs long it is in relevance to the issue at hand, not just hateful weight shifting.

    Good luck with everything.

Desert you, never. As far as banning him, hmmm, I can’t say that I care either way,
what’s your recommendation? If you don’t have one I think I will hold off on judgment, I don’t want to appear as if im a politician and be exposed to the embarrassment of voting for it before I vote against it. I agree wholeheartedly, not bringing an R rating is what I meant by nice.

    FoeHammer

Voted in - and support it the way it’s worded. Note: I DON’T support an Iraq like ‘Make them a paradise’ project in Iran, and knowing our government like we do, I fear that if they did get into an attack on Iran, they’d try and do there what they are doing in Iraq.

    Out already!
