Gates of Vienna blocked by Blogger

Digg vs AnvilCensorship of the Anti-Jihad Blogosphere continues from on-high. A cross-posting of Gates of Vienna blocked by Blogger follows, and you will probably not be surprised who warned GoV of such a possibility:

Here’s a message GoV’s Baron Bodissey left in the comments to his latest post on GoV:

————————————————
I just attempted to post at Gates of Vienna, and was told by an automatic message that our blog is suspected of being a spam blog, and has been blocked by Blogger.

The full text of the message:

“This blog has been locked by Blogger’s spam-prevention robots. You will not be able to publish your posts, but you will be able to save them as drafts.”

And here’s what Blogger says about what we are suspected of:

“What Are Spam Blogs?

“As with many powerful tools, blogging services can be both used and abused. The ease of creating and updating webpages with Blogger has made it particularly prone to a form of behavior known as link spamming. Blogs engaged in this behavior are called spam blogs, and can be recognized by their irrelevant, repetitive, or nonsensical text, along with a large number of links, usually all pointing to a single site.”

I followed Blogger’s instructions, typed in the visible letters to prove that I was not a bot, and am now awaiting a response from the Powers That Be.

In the meantime, I can’t even post a notice at Gates of Vienna bout what is going on.

If you don’t think Gates of Vienna is a spam blog (and assuming that your blog has not also been blocked by Blogger), please post a notice about what has happened. If you know of a way to contact Blogger or Google, please let them know that Gates of Vienna is *not* a spam blog, regardless of how politically incorrect it is.

That’s: http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com

Thank you.

——————————————————-

GoV is not a spam blog, but its messages may be not exactly the kind that the Special Envoy on Racism and Xenophobia of the Useless Nations might want to read. Let’s hope that it’s a genuine mistake, caused by all trackbacks to and from GoV, and that there’s not a more sinister reason. Given earlier information, obtained from (a.o.) FoeHammer’s Anvil, I’m not too sure.

Circle the wagons, bloggers. Cross-post this story; Blogger/Google needs to get an eye-full.

UPDATE: GoV just announced that it has been unblocked after 18 hours. Suspicions that this block may re-occur are running high.

UPDATE: And Google has been messing with Atlas Shrugs, too. Just imagine when Saudis buy up more Internet companies and if the Democrats get a President (i.e. Obama) into the White House, how this will all escalate even further to the point of fascism. Have no doubts, folks, the war of ideologies is raging right before your very eyes!

That happened to me quite often as soon as blogger sold out to google. As you know, google is the company who gives the chinese the data on what bloggers write so that the commies can come and arrest them. Nice people, aren’t they? It’s actually google that needs to be brought down to its knees. Anyone up for a boycott?

GoV will be our guests tomorrow on the radio show which I cohost. I plan to discuss the topic of censorship in the blogosphere. Baron and Dymphna are going to call in at the bottom of the hour.

Info about the show at my web site.

I lost one of the sites which I used to manage for the same reason. It never got restored! If Blogger takes down the new site I created last month, I’ll fight back. Somehow. Maybe by going to another server.

One more thought….If the blogosphere is effective at censoring the blogosphere, waging the counter-jihad will be difficult.

The same thing happened to Warren when he posted this.

Note the pattern of these censorships!

Meanwhile, porn sites proliferate and are not hassled.

@Always: That’s a hell of a list that Warren posted and I’m grabbing that first quote for my own bin. If that actually was the cause for someone to censor him, then it is indeed apparent that fascists and thought-police are active. I will be posting a related article today or tomorrow as a result, once again inspired by the actions of others against me.

I suspect it is the systems that companies like Digg and Google use that are broken, and perhaps it is yet not the direct intent of the majority of their heads to actually censor sites like mine, GoVs and Warren’s, but I’m just still giving benefit of the doubt until I follow the money and end up finding Marxists and Islamists holding company stock interests, and then I’ll most likely sing a different tune.

    Foehammer,
Another example I know of: PhotoBucket refused to allow Mark Alexander to post the Mo cartoons and pics of Muslims carrying signs saying “Behead those who insult Islam.”

The warning signs for the blogosphere are apparent!

It was Yahoo! that turned over email info to the ChiComs, not Google.

That may be correct, Living, but Google does not have its hands entirely clean when it comes to other areas like censorship:

Google Refuses Censorship (except for China)
