I’ve wanted to re-post this here for a few weeks, so today is the day. If you haven’t yet seen this absolute evidence of Iranian involvement in the Iraq debacle and the past and continuing murder of American soldiers via proxy groups armed with imported Iranian munitions, this is it:

As with an ordinary mine field, you have to be very careful where you put your emphasis. Stress the wrong truth and either the left or the right wants to blow you up.
Here at Camp Victory, a sprawling concrete and razor wire American base that wraps around Baghdad International Airport, Maj. Weber was trying to explain how to negotiate that mine field. On the one side he wanted me to know me that the captured weapons on the table before us were — definitely, no doubt about it, absolutely — from Iran. On the other hand, he avoided drawing the obvious conclusion that Iran is supplying America’s enemies inside Iraq.
That simple and obvious conclusion would anger the Democratic leadership in Congress, much of the press corp, and a large swath of the antiwar set.
Bear this is mind, when you watch this exclusive Pajamas Media video shot in Iraq. The video offers startling new evidence of Iran’s involvement in the insurgency. It is the first up-close, online video showing captured Iranian weapons. These particular weapons have not been shown to the public before.
Far from being offered up by the military, it took me weeks of wangling to see Maj. Weber. The military does not want to talk about the mortars, rockets and bombs flooding in from Iran. It has been burned by the press every time the subject comes up.
Senior officers also realize that the Democrat-led Congress doesn’t want to hear about Iran’s sinister role in Iraq and that President Bush does not want a confrontation with Iran now. To make the interview even harder to get, Maj. Weber’s specialty, Explosives Ordnance Disposal or EOD, has a culture of not talking to the press. Any EOD officer who does, owes his unit a case of beer for each appearance.
So conspiracy theorists who feel this exclusive Pajamas Media Video is military propaganda couldn’t be more wrong—the military would have been happier if the interview never happened.
Finally, Maj. Weber agreed to this exclusive interview with Pajamas Media on two conditions: that a public-affairs officer be present to interrupt him if he said anything with political ramifications, and that the conversation be limited simply to the weapons themselves.
I agreed to those conditions because a large story the rest of the media missed: the weapons themselves. These Iranian weapons and others like them are killing American soldiers.
Twice before the military has tried to present to the press overwhelming evidence of Iran’s involvement in the Iraq war, only to be met by hostile skepticism. The skepticism basically takes the form of three questions:
1) Couldn’t these weapons have been made anywhere?
2) Isn’t it fishy that these weapons were marked in English with American-style dates?
3) Isn’t all of this a ploy to justify a neocon war with Iran?As you will see from the video, Maj. Weber can definitively answer the first two questions. As for the Daily Kos-inspired third question, well, who can address questions from planet Paranoid? And who should bother?

Now, what was that malarkey about “a tiny minority of extremists” again? And I’d love to hear the excuses from the Liberal Media for continuously dodging this evidence with the most weak-minded and flippant excuses imaginable (i.e. the dates printed on the weapons are American-style). Watch the entire video and you will hear some discussion of that. Frankly, it pisses me off.

Looks like the politicians haven’t figured that out yet.
And OT they paid $5 million plus 1 million bullets for kalashnikovs to free that BBC biassed Gaza reporter.
Where do you suppose those bullets will end up?
Why were they not paid in food and/or medical supplies?

This was a good interview and Major Weber appears to be impartial and fair with the facts, more than he probably should be. It is or should be criminal for press representatives, who are supposed to be from our country, to treat our military as enemies providing disinformation.
From what I observe, the reverse is true. We are subjected to disinformation, failures to report on what should be reported, and insinuations and distortion. This is done on a regular basis by a media which is said to be our media. It is obvious that they are not ours.
They pretend that they have an obligation to the world which transcends their obligation to report fairly and honestly on our country. They do have. They are NOT American media.
Where is American media? We are supposed to have it. Why don’t we?
We are supposed to have a right to free press and freedom of speech. Let’s have it and create it, as it is obvious that we will not have it from the leftists who inhabit those positions now. It is time they were thrown out. Anyone could do better than the MSM in reporting facts and news. Get anti-Americans out of the news and media business and replace them with Americans.
It is not just the US who needs this cleansing and renewal. It is the press and media of the world. We do not need the leftists and we do not want them. We want Americans who tell truth and report facts, even when those facts favor America.
@Flanders: And instead what might we get for our troubles? A “Fairness Doctrine” that will strip away Conservative-lead radio simply on the presumption of “fairness” instead of what the people actually want. Will this be applied equally to television then? Because if it was, half the media outlets would be swept away at least — 90%+ of all journalists are liberals by their own admission, and probably 9% of those left-over are on the fence!
Now look at what the Left is doing on the Internet. This recent move by Digg against the Anvil, without so much as an email TO me or a reply TO my own to them, has opened my eyes. I used to think the “bury brigade” was just a nuisance, but now I understand what they really are and what Digg (and many others like them — just look at comments made about me by a stirrdup.com admin) is providing sustenance for — and that is nothing short of a creeping fascism.
The Left in the West has a very disturbing habit: if they can’t win through Truth then they will cheat. That means they will lie, steal and sometimes even kill in order to manipulate what people believe. Just look at the representatives that are the front-runners for the Dems — not a single one of them is fit to be President of the United States and yet they are convinced they deserve to be. It makes me sick to my stomach. And I say that as an Independent with my share of liberal viewpoints that I don’t go into on the Anvil because they simply do not pertain to the fight at hand.
Well, these sons of bitches have “stirred” me up alright. My average views for last week hit an all-time high (980 unique visitors per day), and now I’ve removed Digg from my site almost entirely. Though sites like Digg may be a boon to a young, independently-owned blog like mine, I will never be slave to fascists or thought-police. I will carry on without their aid and I will prove that not only can they be overcome, just like so many other obstacles already beaten that have merited much of my early success, but I will thrive.
These seditionists and traitors in the media will not succeed in allowing the West to be swallowed up by Marxists, Anarchists and Islamists. And if it comes down to a different phase altogether, one that I am trying so hard to avoid, then they will wish to God they had never pushed it that far, I can tell you that!
You have the honor of having inspired fear within them, Foehammer. They fear truth. They know that the deceptions they are engaged in will not stand in the light of day, so they attempt to sabotage the messenger of true fact and opinion who have an ability to successfully strike chords within people.
People cannot see through the deception yet, because the truth has not had an outlet to the people for sufficient time. People are confused as to what their reactions should be to various agendas posed and having access at all times to only MSM type news and media makes them question their natural and correct impressions and actions. Be aware that the internet is heavily stacked with knowledgeable leftists who are experts with internet technology. I am not aware of any major service which is not staffed and owned by them. If you are aware of any alternatives, please let me know.
You are in a unique position, too, of ascending at a time that they are embarking on a mission to search and destroy. They are after the successful communicators. See their shutdown of MEMRI and attempts in that regard, for instance. They plan for the message to filter down to the more timid that there will be a price to be paid for speaking freely and truthfully. It is less messy that way in having to explain to the public, if they have to do that, that is.
Liberal Americans who are not within the activist left will think that they are safe, and they probably will be so long as it is on the internet. It is at a later time when the liberals should fear, for leftists do not want intelligence in any form which have capacity to resist them. They want only themselves and the sheep. The knowledgeable will be aware of this and may be supportive against these efforts.

The leaders state that the only way we can ever have peace or be friends is for us to become Muslims. They say want to bring about the end of time by getting a Muslim in the White House!
