Americans ignore opportunities to learn the truth, while even <a href="http://www.hells-handmaiden.com/2007/07/18/jihad-will-destroy-us/" rel="nofollow">smart ones</a> too often cultivate more distractions so that running from reality doesn't feel like cowardice or sloth.

This nation won't wake up until we get a solid kick in the cajones, and yet I keep on typing...

I'm going to blatantly "steal" part of that poll structure and put the questions here on the Anvil random <a href="http://foehammer.net/pollsarchive/" rel="nofollow">polls</a>.

Related story, or maybe not: Overall, <a href="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19874703/site/newsweek/" rel="nofollow">Americans have mixed opinions about US Muslims</a>.

Some progress since last year, but the fact that 57% of Americans under 40 would consider voting for a Muslim is troubling.

Read it all.

Foehammer, it is difficult to maintain conduct sometimes, but civility must be foremost, I believe. Otherwise, we fall into the abyss of the very ideology we are all fighting.

What is primarily needed, is to continue to tell the truth about Islam, as you do, which anyone with an open mind can see and connect with, with clarity.

Your work is indispensable.

@Chris: Well, let's hope it never gets to a point where I have to exchange pen for sword, but yes, you're correct. I am not a good enemy to have on a variety of levels and I'm capable of adapting to just about anything. Perhaps I'll be in a place to bend ears should the need arise, other than that, I'll keep typing. :D

R.Hartman: This is an interesting read so far, I've gone in a few pages. I'm immediately struck by quotes from Krauthammer (most will know him from FOX News roundtables) and Richard Perle (I've read a couple of his books) -- and I think it's fair to say that the author of 'Future Calling' is misleading in his usage of these quotes in the context of what he's implying.

Beware these "globalist" theories. Perle and Krauthammer are infamous conservatives and staunchly against Islamism from everything I've read or heard from them. I find it very unlikely that they would be supporting any initiative for globalization. What Krauthammer is more likely eluding to is just the usage of American power to preserve the safety of the free world and to do it without so much constant apology. Very easy to mislead a reader when interjecting his aggressive statements into the context of a "global" UN conspiratorial theme.

Still, I always like to pick apart this kind of thing, so I'll continue reading it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, just remember, beware the propaganda machine. It's definitely churning hard the past few years and I'm wondering where the source is as much as this author is. In fact, it's quite striking that he mentions the underground Communism influence in the very first few paragraphs. That coincides with a couple of theories I related here not long ago.

<a href="http://foehammer.net/2007/06/is-russia-supporting-the-islamization-of-europe.html" rel="nofollow">Is Russia supporting the Islamization of Europe?</a>

I tend to both agree and disagree with what's in this. The truth probably lies somewhere in-between. Like that's new.

Hi Foehammer.
Not sure if it's really on or off topic, but it relates to a discussion on 9/11 in (I think) the same thread. Came across it today, thanks to another Dutch libertarian ('Cannon') who commented on an article on the Dutch libertarian blog Vrijspreker.nl. Not sure yet what to think of it, though it seems to be well documented. You'll find it interesting reading, I'm sure: http://www.freedomforceinternational.org/pdf/futurecalling4.pdf
Its introduction warns you're not going to like it, and that's an understatement. As I said, not sure yet what to think of it, but it's going to make me do a lot of thinking again...

Keep up the fight. And as you said, hard language may stir attention and awake people, foul language is going to turn them away.
Be safe.

There is no need to tolerate cvils or worse canards. As editor it is a tribute to you to tolerate those who might be on the edge but you do not have to put up with those you advise to pull it back a notch. Too many will ban those who do not tow the line, or worse make comments which cannot be rebutted, not because they are fiction but because the logic cannot be rebutted.

Having said that while many who follow Islam are neither hard core nor true believers, too many sit aside and allow the radicals in the name of Islam to commit acts that humanity should not tolerate. We saw this in the Third Reich. History bears witness that for evil to triumph only requires enough good men to sit aside and do nothing. Unfortunately as we see in the wEST THERE APPEAR TO BE AS MANY GOOD mUSLIMS AS THERE ARE UNICORNS.

Perhaps I am mistaken but I am reminded of the actions of the Japanese-Americans in WWII who despite being placed in concentration camps and having their property stolen by the government, rallied to the allied cause and formed the 442nd, the most decorated combat unit in American history.

We do not see this happening today, worse we see CAIR and its allies ending the John Doe law in Congress.

You are to be commended in allowing debate and reasonable dissent. You do not have to suffer trolls, morlocks and idiotarians.

It's explosions like that that seem to steal credibility from our cause and give the libs and fanatics more fuel so they can say, "After all, those counter-jihadists are just a bunch of raving lunatics" as they pass laws to limit our free speech and throw us in jail, while increasing the flow of tax dollars for illegals, CAIR islamofascist agendas, and subsidized abortions.

I think you do a great job of spreading truth and a message of freedom, and there is no doubt in my mind you'd be one of the few people really fighting for it whenever things hit the fan in a real big way.
