I’ve been pointing the finger at Iran for years. Americans in Iraq too often die as a result of Iran training our enemies, providing them with weapons (especially sophisticated bombs) and sometimes even Iranian soldiers hidden among the “insurgents”. And how does our government react? With just more sword-rattling.
Turn the clock back to 1939. How do you think the United States would have reacted then to this proof of a nation-state being responsible for dead Americans, month in and month out? It would have meant a Declaration of War! Yet today, we can’t even get our President to order an air attack upon Iranian nuclear centrifuges or Iranian military bases. The blood is on the President’s hands almost as much as it is on the hands of Al Qaeda, Iran and that double-dealing bastard al-Sadr.
From CNN:
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) – A top special operations officer from Lebanon’s Iranian-backed militia Hezbollah has been captured in Iraq, where U.S. officials say he played a key role in a January attack that killed five Americans.
Ali Mussa Daqduq, an explosives expert, was captured in March in the southern Iraqi city of Basra, where he was helping train and lead Shiite militias fighting coalition troops, U.S. intelligence officials told CNN.
Daqduq pretended to be deaf and mute when captured, and his identity was not known for weeks, the officials said.
Once uncovered, however, they said he began to talk, and they now believe he played a crucial role in the January 20 attack in Karbala.

I’d like to know WHY the US is allowing we, the people, aka The USA, to be forced to sit idly by, twiddling our thumbs, while Iran continues to supply every crazy in the world with weapons to kill Americans! Islam being the Cult of Death it is, no doubt enjoys the “protective status” this stupidity allows them! When in God’s name are we going to FORCE Iran back to the stone age - uh - sorry, I forgot - that’s where they’ve stayed! tsk - sorry ’bout that!
@Sheila: Because we need a massive change in leadership. The ticks in Washington, DC are dug in well, but they can be plucked out with tweezers at the voting booth on the next go-round.
