For those who may have tried to send me email via my Contact page in the past couple of days, it should be receiving email again. As it turns out, I hadn’t checked my email for two days and in that time my box filled up completely. I have today taken a couple of steps to remove server-side email at a very fast rate, so hopefully this ‘bounce’ will reoccur only rarely.
This should serve as evidence of the anti-spam war that I wage daily. None of you would want to deal with it. I see an average of 40 spams per hour between my multiple email accounts.
Unfortunately for the spammers, I’m nearly impervious, as my spam filters have gotten much more sophisticated in recent weeks and sort things automatically. I try to reply to every email I receive that requires personal attention, but due to the sheer amount that I do get, please understand that I may simply never be able to respond to all. I do, however, read every message.

That’s why, when I want to pass along what I think is a worthwhile link to a news story, I mostly use Twitter. It’s harder to spam.
By the way… I just had some blog malfunctions today also. I got a direct message in Twitter that my blog wasn’t loading right in Firefox. I asked my fellow Twitterers and Lizardoids to check it out in different browsers. Turned out it loaded okay in IE6, IE7, Safari, and the mobile browser. But in Firefox, all the stuff that should’ve been in the center column showed up at the bottom, following the final item in the left sidebar. So I installed Firefox myself and tried it out. Turned out it was a padding issue. Firefox enforces things a little more strictly, it seems.
I fixed it by moving everything that didn’t fit into the sidebars into separate pages, backing out the spacing adjustments that I shouldn’t have made in the first place, and moving everything around to balance the layout. Whew.
I seem to be spending all my time FIXING this blog and not writing anything in it!
But anyhow, I’m glad those other on LGF and Twitter helped me out with diagnosing the problem.
The take home lesson for your audience is this: if you notice somebody else’s blog is not working, don’t assume that the blog owner already knows about this. They very well might not know!
When reporting the error, it’s very helpful if you can describe what browser you are using and exactly what happens (or fails to happen) when you try to load up the blog. It could be a layout issue, a server problem, or some miscreant hacking the blog.
I like your website. I just thought I would finally send a message and tell you this. This website has actually brought tears to my eyes. It hurts knowing that this is going on in the world we live in.
Thanks for bringing it to the attention to some who are blind and some who just needs to be reminded.
keep up the good work.
Hi Foehammer, enjoy your respite. Just wondering if you got me email I sent through the blog.

@Kristee: Apparently not. I assume you sent that message before I posted this (and fixed the bounce)?
