I have been giving some thought in my time off from the daily blog grind as to how to best maintain the Boycott Islam: Companies and Products List, and I’m toying with the idea of making it user-interactive. Handling that list in a Wikipedia fashion under my strict supervision and editorial control would allow it to grow at a much faster rate and free me up from spending too much time manually editing it myself. I believe it would also generate more overall interest in the Boycott Islam campaign.
I’ve yet to investigate what options are available to me to allow for user editing of that specific part of the Anvil, but I’m confident that with a little innovation, just about anything is possible. So, my question this morning is simple enough: is this a good idea and would you more likely contribute to the list if you could add the information yourself?

As long as it is closely monitored and only people you trust have access… otherwise the BBC (or some other islamofascist/sympathizer) would no doubt trash things…
Sounds like a great idea, although most of your list entries will have a number of degrees of separation due to the fact: middle eastern dwellers don’t seem to produce very much of anything consumable by the west other than oil. It’s interesting to look at the economic diversity Israel accomplishes with the same basic resources - less the death cult religion and the oil. Take away the oil and the whole lot won’t have a pot to piss in. That is why we in the west MUST work to become energy independent. I hope I live to see the day we can raise our hands and give the fu*kers the collective middle finger.
I think it’s worth a try. And since you’ll have controls, you’ll be able to make sure it doesn’t get hijacked.
Will people step up and add information? Don’t know. But I imagine that many of the readers here will stumble on companies and products in their varied news/blog searches and this gives them a place to aggregate that info separate from the news item itself.
Fist time reader, here. Heard you on Gathering Storm podcast & looked up your blog. WOW, what a great list! It would be great to have user input as long as it is fact checked (references included). The think I like most about this islamic resistance movement is that it really is the average Joe and Jill behind it. I’m always impressed with the degree of knowledge they bring to the fight.
@dm60462:
I’ll check out every entry. The idea of allowing select users to input themselves is to allow the truly motivated and trustworthy ones to actively participate in the effort and to reduce my own workload at the same time. This will allow the list to grow at a much faster rate.
Infidels have to start behaving like we’re on a war footing and that requires more team effort across the blogosphere and beyond.
