I appreciate all the kinds words. I am lucky to have the intelligent and well-read, well-informed group of regulars visiting the Anvil that I do. You folks are the fuel that keeps the forge fired up.

It's raining here this morning on the anniversary of 9-11. A new bin Laden video is out. Not a single Western politician will say anything new today. Business as usual -- plucking all the heart strings to appease East and West. Not a single Truther will reverse their stand on conspiracy theories. Not a single jihadi will repent.

I had better stoke the forge; this is no time to cool off.

Thanks, Simone :)
I am going to give FH a lot of that credit because he has set a very high standard on his site.

(this doesn't mean I won't crack the odd joke or one-liner!)

I commiserate re our elections. The thought of having a cabinet with about 80% union-hack membership is frightening to say the least.

Out of Bush, Blair and Howard - I see Howard as the true leader. He has done a great job, and to be voted out because of this is surely tragic.

I haven't completely given up on him. The past 24 hours suggests that a week in politics is a long time. The Labour leaders are deserting. If another goes,,,it could get interesting. If OBL does something,,,,who knows?

That was very powerful, Gramfan. Beautifully written and oh so true. A very hard comment to follow!

Running through my head while I was listening to the podcast was 'What a shame Foehammer isn't in politics, or in a position to influence political decisions.' In any case, what you're doing is very noble and I (once again) salute you!

Looking forward to catching this movie. Lord knows I need something to distract myself from the dawning realisation that Australia looks set to vote in a socialist government after 11 years of strong conservative leadership.

I just listened to your podcast. Speaking from the heart is more powerful than any script!

Many of us cannot do what you are doing, but I am sure there are many like Orville and your other readers, and I include myself in this list, who do little bits whenever they can.

These "little bits" are going to add up to massive action one day: they must. That's how things work on this planet whether you are saving cents as a child, filling up a large dam with water, writing a few words daily in a diary....

Islam goes against how things work on this planet.

Every living thing yearns to be free, be it a human or even a fly!

That is how this planet has always worked. That is how it has grown and prospered.

Fallaci called islam a stagnant pond and she was correct.

We cannot rely on our leaders, and prayers alone will also not help.

We need a combination of things that will make the people aware of what is at stake. It has to happen. Critical mass will be reached. I don't know when, but it will happen. It has happened throughout history and it will happen again. In this age of technology one can only hope it happens a lot sooner, rather than later.

And one must also hope that the 'slaves of islam' will also desire their freedom, as did the slaves on the plantations.

No man's deeds go unnoticed, Foehammer. Every day I forward your great Anvil on to my list of relatives and friends - hopefully they subscribe, but regardless all recognize quality and TRUTH wherever and whenever they see it. It has been many years since I wore a USA Navy uniform in the South Pacific in a great war, but that war is unlike this current war which will last for centuries. We don't always see results of our efforts and that is not our goal. Somehow TRUTH emerges clear and free from behind the curtains of falsehoods and seeming neglect of facts, but sooner or later it does rise above such mundane traits. I am proud to know you are out there working for the GOOD! Keep on for as long as possible, which I hope is for many years into the future which needs you and those few like you!

I have yet to watch this film.

Thanks for speaking from the heart. I know it gets discouraging when it feels like you're talking to a brick wall. But the alternative is... silence? That's not alternative at all. Keep on doing what you do, and I will continue to do my part as best I can as well.

Sooner or later, something has got to sink in!
