Today I’m working hard to be ready to unveil the new Anvil Wiki that will feature a brand new version of the Boycott Islam: Companies & Goods list. This list will be user-editable (thus the term wiki). However, before I do this, I wanted to bring a couple of related stories to your attention via Dr. Daniel Pipes. It seems that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bastion of those happy Wahhabis, has been called on the carpet for some of its more notoriously bigoted habits, namely telling non-Muslims that they have no right to display their faith openly with non-Islamic religious symbols while visiting Saudi Arabia or — even as international passengers on Saudi Airlines. The Kingdom bans “Bibles, crucifixes, statues, carvings, items with religious symbols such as the Star of David.”
The duplicitous Saudis are now trying to cover their tracks, as usual:
A week ago, at “Uniting to Exclude Saudi Arabian Airlines,” I called on Westerners to deny the Saudi flag carrier access to their airports on the basis of an unacceptable passage in the company’s English-language website (which I saved and have posted on my website):
A number of items are not allowed to be brought into the Kingdom due to religious reasons and local regulations. These include alcoholic beverages, pork and pork products, prohibited drugs and narcotics, firearms, explosives, edged weapons and pornographic materials.
Items and articles belonging to religions other than Islam are also prohibited. These may include Bibles, crucifixes, statues, carvings, items with religious symbols such as the Star of David, and others.
Saudi Arabian Airline’s headquarters in Jeddah.
But look again; the second paragraph of these “Customs Regulations” is now gone, has quietly vanished. (To protect against further changes, here is a link to(2) the version I saved):
A number of items are not allowed to be brought into the Kingdom due to religious reasons and local regulations. These include alcoholic beverages, pork and pork products, prohibited drugs and narcotics, firearms, explosives, edged weapons and pornographic materials.
Read it all.

Just boycott Saudi Arabian Airline only?
I suggest boycotting anyone who goes to Saudi Arabia for major or minor Hajj. Any one who willingly participates in religious apertheid should be boycotted. And also include all the travel agents that directly/indirectly particiapte organizing Hajj tours.
Is it possible to sue travel agents for supporting religious apertheid?
Hardly. Just getting warmed up around the Anvil forge…
Boycott Islam
I had read about this before.
One would think there would be somewhat of an outcry, but there I go again, being optimistic.
I can’t find the link, but I think perhaps they have changed this rule.
Then again, if you went there with a cross or a star of David,and/or a Bible hopefully you might have been informed by travel agents that Saudi Arabia has its own special cultural requirements.
Saudi Arabia has not changed their “rules” against non-Muslim religions. They have simply removed evidence of their “rules” from a website as public as the Saudi Airlines: Taqiyya.
Thanks for clearing that one up,FH!
