Great show, FH. I’m multi-tasking right now (typing and listening) -you’ve just finished talking about De Palma’s film. It’s so refreshing to hear these issues discussed in such an intelligent way. No, scratch that. It’s refreshing to hear these issues discussed full-stop (or ‘period’ as you would say in America).

Yes, there is a noticable absence of patriotic movies these days. They exist, but rarely make it to the theatre.
Jeffrey Dahmer should have considered a career in entertainment since “SAW” meets the Hollyweird standard.
After previewing a portion of SAW (available on cable), I couldn’t help but think the theme could have been instructive for the methods of torture described in some individual accounts from the Bosnian/Serb/Croatian war theatre. But then, that wouldn’t meet PC standards.
