September 11th: National Victimhood Day?

I’m probably going to offend a few people this morning with what I have to say.

Listening to the words of interviewers and those who lost loved ones and speakers standing behind podiums at Ground Zero this morning, six years after the Day that Changed America Forever, I am left feeling that it is time to move on. We do not move on by repeating the names of those who died and referring to them as “victims” every year. Grief is real and doesn’t ever go away completely, but we are not looking at 9-11 in the correct light. That day was not just a terrorist act, it was an act of war. The men and women that died that day were casualties in the war that continues today. We have to come to grips with what it all truly signifies.

Burning 9.11We must not do so much crying as we should be looking to avenge those we lost. The best way to make things right is to prevent such assaults as best we may. This means we have to look the problem straight in the eye.

We aren’t.

Phrases like “continuing terror threat” and “every year Al Qaeda becomes stronger” only serve to get my blood boiling. Al Qaeda isn’t some alliance of bogey men. It is an Islamic Jihadist group bent on spreading the ideology of Islam and built upon the example of Muhammad. It is only one cog in the Islamic machine; use of terrorism is only one tactic of the Islamists.

When too many of our supposed leaders make comments that frame Al Qaeda in a light that build it up as “unstoppable”, this should warn us that we are not being told the truth about this conflict. I have gone over this time and time again here at the Anvil. This is not a War on Terror that we are in, but a World War with the Islamists, a war for our very existence as a Western Culture, and a war against Evil and Deceit.

Are we to constantly play the role of the victims? This isn’t healthy. We need to take on the role of the warriors, because we are fighting for what we hold dear, and the loss of those innocents on September 11, 2001 should only serve to make us steadfast in the defense of where most of those who were lost on that day were born into.

Pentagon flagWe will only avoid more September 11ths by confronting our true enemies, but Islam is stronger here in the United States and over in Europe and down in Australia today than it was in 2001. We have ourselves to blame for that. Blind appeasement and silly adherence to illusions about the ‘Religion of Peace’ erode our good sense. The source of the terror that spawned Al Qaeda and lead to the tragedy on 9-11 is Islam, nothing more, nothing less. So, enough idiocy and weakness: those who have died to Islamists throughout all of history deserve a better vindication.

The United States of America is not a nation of victims, we are a nation of warriors. We have fought for Freedom like no other nation in history. Never forget that. It is one thing to remember those we have lost, but it is another thing altogether to constantly reopen wounds and give hope to our enemies that we can be carved away into nothing but dust by their acts of hatred.

I also want people to better prepare themselves for the future. I firmly believe that we have not seen the end of violent attacks upon Western nations by the followers of Muhammad. In fact, the worse attacks persist, day in and day out, hidden from the naked eye, but still there; attacks upon our culture, our heritage, our school systems and the sentimentality of children. Our future generations are being molded by fear and dogma while we are too busy at work to know or to act to stop it.

And the Saudi oil money flows into the veins of our nations like a poison.

Open your eyes, Americans. Open your eyes, Westerners. This is not a day to cry and then walk away. This is a day to shed tears, but then to clench jaw, lift chin and stand straight and remember those history lessons from school. Remember old anthems:

“Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.”

Look within. Those aren’t just words.

There. You see it, too.

Live your lives free of fear and stay aware of the realities behind the ‘War on Terror’, because despite all the nonsense you are told elsewhere, if you’re reading here right now today, then you are one of the many that are no longer ignorant to the harsh realities that face us and Truth surrounding the War with Islam.

This is how to remember September 11th — by understanding how it actually happened and what ideology was the catalyst for it and what continues to be the Enemy into the future. Knowing that we have a duty to stop it from happening again, and again, and again is paramount.

Live your lives and be prepared to fight for what you believe in. After all, that’s the American way.
