Yet Another Example of Bush Dhimmitude

First Lady Laura Bush wearing an abaya in Saudi Arabia once again sets the tone for the Islamization of the Free World by caving in to “cultural etiquette” demands of the Saudis. The Bush family has done more damage to the future of the United States than I could have at first imagined possible. Their absolute ignorance of the very enemy they embrace is nothing short of criminal. This is the First Family of the United States I’m talking about here! If they do not set the proper example, who will?

Canadian Government has introduced a bill that would require all voters, including veiled Muslim women, to show their faces before they vote in federal elections.

Listen for the accusations of bigotry and racism now.

If history is written correctly Bush and Blair will be noted as traitors.

OZ PM Howard has backed them but I believe for honorable reasons.

I think he will loose our next election in a landslide and only the older people will remember him well:
Anti-dhimmi of the Year award winner, if my memory serves me correctly.

Gramfan - absolutely right. Bush and Blair have done far more harm than good. They’ve helped the Islamic agenda. Sad. The election can’t come soon enough.

Well, just another letdown. We really need a conservative in office like Tancredo or Thompson, otherwise we might all be catering to Islamo-fascists.

I can only imagine the nightmare if a Democrat were in power at this crucial time. Just remember that no matter how bad you think President Bush is, he is better than a liberal.

Sounder, it’s amazing that a socialist government has more respect and pride for its country than most Americans do for theirs. This is evident by not only what you just posted, but I have seen more Canadian flags while traveling in Canada than American flage in America, with the exception of the first gulf war, and I have lived here in America since my birth.

Where is the American pride and self respect going? Don’t be ashamed to know and admit that America is number one! The Liberals can not succeed in shaming America.

Hey, a lot of you maybe just don’t get it, Barbara Bush IS setting the proper example, the message that women should get used to wearing abayas, is not lost in here.

Alot of people think that America has lost it’s nerve, it’s will to fight, and it’s morals.

    What is left…. capitulation,

So take Barbara Bush message ” If You can’t Beat Them Join Them” and try on an abaya for size.

Just confirms to me that the Bushes are not true “spiritual conservatives”…their convictions do not come from a deep ideological conservativeness, but merely pander to us for votes on certain occasions. Personally I think George jr. is faking Christianity along the same lines. Anybody who truly adheres to the bible can plainly see Islam and Christianity are completely irreconcilable.

When our bankrupt legal system takes the side of exploitation of our elders as long as the money is used to feed the corrupt legal system that feeds upon it self by taking the sides of perpetrators/terrorist instead of that of the victims.

All of our bills were paid up to date up until the court imposed a guardian, now the guardian and his attoneys use my mother’s Social security income for legal expenses, we have had to abandon the house we built 31 years ago, because of this.

At least they cut crooks hands off, here we reward them. Wonder if Barbara will attend a public execution wearing that abaya? Wonder if Barbara will insist that Muslim women of influence wear western clothes when they come over here? There is a subtle message here not lost on muslim leaders.

That’s because the president is at war with the terrorists. What terrorists? Well uh, those terrorists. Yes but who and what are these terrorists? Er, islam is peace. What? Look I’m the decider and I decided that islam is peace, so there.
Mrs President should be setting an example for our young girls and theirs not playing islamobarbie dressup. Anyone else tired of seeing our leaders dressed in other countries payamas or bedding? Enough, its not funny any more.

Regarding the wild fires in California. I have a sneaky suspicion they were intentionally started by Islamists. If Islamists have been known to attack hospitals, schools, churches, ect. Intentiaonally setting wildfires is low and it appears it is their style.

You could be right but it’s raining now (yesterday there was no rain in sight) so I think that proves alla is on our side. Every year we get the santa anas and every year the nutbags come out with their matchbooks. The difference is that today we see many many homes in the canyons and they have left it rural so it is a fire trap. The flames sweep over the hilltops and in and out of canyons that are rugged, there is no way to stop it you can only hope to stop the burning of structures as much as you can. Two decades ago there were little groups of homes in the canyons and they burned occasionally but there were not muliti million dollar houses all over the place back then so you heard nothing about it. Aside from the people who wanted to get away from civilization the hobos were the only ones who lived in the canyon areas and that has all changed. If you don’t develop the canyons and then build get ready to burn and then get ready for the rain and the landslides. Islamists, nutbags or hobos, who can say? Maybe it is a little of all three.

Everyone should be aware of what happened in that picture. You’re all a bit quick to judge. How many times have we seen a picture, or a quote, taken out of context?

Kathleen Parker was one of three media representatives to accompany First Lady Laura Bush on her trip to the middle east. Here’s what she had to say about the headscarf photo.

The controversial photo shows Bush donning a black headscarf decorated with the iconic pink bows signifying breast cancer awareness. It was the only time Bush covered her head during the trip and the episode lasted perhaps a minute.

The scarf in question was a gift to Bush from a dozen Saudi women who shared their experiences fighting breast cancer with the first lady. The morning meeting was touching and intimate, the sort of bonding experience that opens hearts and minds in diplomatically useful ways.

Upon receiving the gift, Bush did what any decent, well-mannered person would do. She demonstrated her appreciation by placing the scarf on her head. In Saudi Arabia, it was a sweet, wordless gesture of friendship and mutual respect.

So go ahead. Scoff and demonize her attempt to reach these women. Remember folks - Islam is the evil, not the people. It’s the same problem with sin - hate the sin, love the sinner.

Killing these people outright will only create martyrs. Consider conversion a far better form of warfare. Not that I’m not for killing those who seek to invade and destroy my way of life - but if we can do peacefully, it’s a far more permament defeat of our enemy - to destroy not only his body, but his very ideals.

Johnathan Cross, the photo in itself is nothing. You say she had that scarf on for only about a minute, yet within that minute that photo was taken and that ended up plasterd all over the place for all to see.

The disdain is much deeper than the photo, or the fact she even put it on. It is the quickly, intentionally, calculated act of ensuring that photo ended up in very public places, obviously attempting to politically excuse the human rights hyprocracy that Saudi is. It’s called elevating dhimmitude, kow towing, appeasement, under a much, much bigger picture than ‘that’ picture.

    That’s the real message.

The best thing that Laura Bush could have done for those Muslim women would have been to refuse to don any Islamic garb at all and if asked why, given them a proper and honest explanation about Women’s Rights, Civil Rights and the U.S. Constitution.

I suppose that if this was 1938 and she had been visiting Hitler in Berlin, it would have been fine for her to spit on a Jew?

If anything, I have not been quick enough to harshly judge the Bush Family, but I got over that mistake. George W. Bush and his clan are either criminally ignorant, ideologically challenged or criminally liable. I’m apt to think that it is a combination of all of the above at this point and then toss in some serious Big Oil Greed to round things out. By not taking care of business in Iran, I swore 3 1/2 years ago that I would come out against Bush for being an idiot and now I have. There was no good reason to enter Iraq without a longterm plan of action in the region. This point, along with Bush’s continued squandering of our border protections, have now made me realize what an absolute travesty this current Presidential Administration has been.

In the course of history, George W. Bush will be seen to be the sell-out that he is, and this dance with the Saudis just short of treason.

Had Laura Bush or her representative not placed that photo on the White House web site, I would not be incensed.

Interestingly enough, so far the only photo I’ve found of Laura Bush’s trip to the Middle East in the Arab press is the one of her wearing the abaya. Now, maybe I missed the other photos. If so, point them out.

I do not have a problem with Laura Bush wearing this scarf, as long as all Muslims in the U.S. have to wear traditional American dress. That means NO SCARF, short skirts, skimpy bathing suits. It also means men and women comingling, and women being treated as equals. If they want to adhere to our traditions, then fine. Otherwise, get the hell out of my country and go back to your old country and your head up the butt religious traditions!
