Happy Thanksgiving: A Proposed Constitutional Amendment

Boston Mosque DistressThe following article was submitted to me from a reader in Arizona after he saw some of my statements over in the Jihad Watch comments sections concerning my dedication to the notion of amending the U.S. Constitution and, more specifically, the First Amendment. This is a subject I first discussed in any real detail in an article titled: The Threat Worse than Islamic Terrorism.

Before anyone reacts from the gut on this, read this proposal carefully. This in no way strips anyone of religious freedoms that actually follows a peaceful religion, but Islam itself does not fit into this category and must be opposed. This idea, along with my other proposal of boycott, can do much to stop the Islamic Glacier and Sharia Creep.

The following words were first posted over at Pedestrian Infidel, but since the author has found it very difficult to have these ideas reposted on other blogs, I’ll do my part today. I was impressed by the structure of this article, it being so close to my own ideas especially, and so I have decided to publish it here for all to read and offer their own thoughts and suggestions on.

It is my feeling that such a proposal as this should be taken extremely seriously and acted upon in some form in the near future.

Happy Thanksgiving!

A Proposed Constitutional Amendment
Background and justification to Amendment 28

Whereas Religion is defined as an institution dedicated to improving social conscience and promoting individual and societal spiritual growth in a way that is harmless to others not participating in or practicing the same;

Whereas the United States of America was founded on the ideals of individual rights, including the individual right to practice one’s religion of choice, or no religion, and that there would be no compulsion of religion, nor state sanctioned religion, nor a “religious test” for participation in the body politic;

Whereas Islam includes a complete political and social structure, encompassed by its religious law, Sharia, that supersedes any civil law and that Islam mandates that no secular or democratic institutions are to be superior to Islamic law;

Whereas Islam preaches that it and it alone is the true religion and that Islam will dominate the world and supplant all other religions and democratic institutions;

Whereas Saudi Arabia, the spiritual home of Islam does not permit the practice of any other religion on its soil and even “moderate” Muslims states such as Turkey and Malaysia actively suppress other religions;

Whereas Islam includes as its basic tenet the spread of the faith by any and all means necessary, including violent conquest of non-believers, and demands of its followers that they implement violent jihad (holy war) against those un-willing to convert or submit to Islam, including by deception and subversion of existing institutions;

Whereas on 9/11/2001 19 Muslim hijackers acting in the name of Islam killed 3,000 Americans, and numerous other acts of terrorism have been directed at the American people around the world;

Whereas representatives of Islam around the world including Osama Bin Laden (architect of 9/11), the government of Iran including Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, HAMAS, Hezbollah, and other Islamic groups have declared jihad (war) on America, and regularly declare that America should cease to exist;

Whereas there is no organized Islamic opposition to violent proponents of Islam;

Therefore: Islam is not a religion, but a political ideology more akin to Fascism and totally in opposition to the ideals of freedom as described in the United States Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights.

Be it resolved that the following Amendment to the Constitution be adopted:

Article I

The social/political/ideological system known around the world as Islam is not recognized in the United States as a religion.

The practice of Islam is therefore not protected under the 1st Amendment as to freedom of religion and speech.

Article II

As representatives of Islam around the world have declared war, and committed acts of war, against the United States and its democratic allies around the world, Islam is hereby declared an enemy of the United States and its practice within the United States is now prohibited.

Article III

Immediately upon passage of this Amendment all Mosques, schools and Muslim places of worship and religious training are to be closed, converted to other uses, or destroyed. Proceeds from sales of such properties may be distributed to congregations of said places but full disclosure of all proceeds shall be made to an appropriate agency as determined by Congress. No compensation is to be offered by Federal or State agencies for losses on such properties however Federal funding is to be available for the demolishing of said structures if other disposition cannot be made.

The preaching of Islam in Mosques, Schools, and other venues is prohibited. The subject of Islam may be taught in a post high school academic environment provided that instruction include discussion of Islam’s history of violence, conquest, and its ongoing war on democratic and other non-Islamic values.

The preaching or advocating of Islamic ideals of world domination, destruction of America and democratic institutions, jihad against Judaism, Christianity and other religions, and advocating the implementation of Sharia law shall in all cases be punishable by fines, imprisonment, deportation, and death as prescribed by Congress. Violent expressions of these and other Muslim goals, or the material support of those both in the United States and around the world who seek to advance these Islamic goals shall be punishable by death.

Muslims will be denied the opportunity to immigrate to the United States.

Article IV

Nothing in this amendment shall be construed as authorizing the discrimination against, of violence upon, nor repudiation of the individual rights of those Americans professing to be Muslim. The individual right of conscience is sacrosanct and the practice of Islam within the privacy of home and self is strictly protected to the extent that such individuals do not violate the prohibitions described in Article III.

    I agree with your proposal completely Foehammer. Islam has proven time and time again to be an enemy of the United States; it’s time we started treating it as such. These people who disagree must not understand Islam. The teachings and goals of Islam are in direct contradiction to secular democracy. The two simply cannot coexist. Any attempts to allow Islam into our culture will either end in a loss of civil liberties or violence against Americans.

    This is so dumb. I won’t go into detail on the inane structure of this proposal, but instead nudge you all with this simple point:

    Is the key to winning a war against Muslim wackos hiding the problem and shoving it into our book bags? Yes, America is stronger and always will be. However, guerrilla warfare has ALWAYS takes lives (Vietnam). With that said, would it now be a good idea to lock the beast in your closet, or allow him to live on his own so you are not the only option for food?

    Excellent work. Now all we have to do is define guns as not guns and we can scrap the second; define your house as not a house and your person as not your person and the fourth is gone. Hey, let’s define liebruls as not really citizens and they won’t have any rights at all.

    My prediction,
    The anti-jihad will only become stronger through all of this. If we are to face down the islamists we will need to be a whole lot stronger than a wet noodle. The sword and shield of the anti-jihad must be forged as it was in the days of old. Plunged in to the fire until red hot and then sledge hammered, the process repeated over and over again until the sword is strong enough to cut stone. They are large but we are many and growing every day. The anti jihad is much bigger than one site it has gone global now, one group does not hold sway over the rest of us. The anti-jihad will not be kos’d. I listen to talk radio and over time I have occasionally heard Johnson as a guest. On the other hand I continue to hear Robert Spencer more and more each week and on a wide range of formats. I said a long time ago that his reputation would continue to grow, and it has and will continue to grow as the world wide anti-jihad proceeds forward. So too will the forged in fire anti-jihad become larger, stronger more capable of withstanding any onslaught. So do not despair for that which does not kill you makes you stronger (Neitzsche). So keep up the fight, keep writing, talking, learning growing bigger, getting stronger. I cannot help but see the parallels with the third Reich in this, the, was you father or mother Jewish garbage, only directed at a different target and I don’t like the smell of it. But this is only one average American opinion of it so take it or leave it as you will. Here is a good post via Gates of Vienna,

    This recent controversy in the blogosphere has become self-perpetuating, and multiple sites all along the spectrum of the controversy are allowing Whack-a-mole to distract us from reality–the Islamic threat which is overrunning Western civilization.

    I posted an essay on the topic, if anyone here is interested.

    In sum, I am moving on, with as little hard feelings a possible.

    Some three weeks of agony is enough for me, and at this point, I don’t believe that anything constructive is being accomplished.

    The wine sounds like a good idea. I had some Kentucky whiskey earlier tonight with my husband as we were reading various comments and news on the “intertubes.”

    :drunk_tb: ?? Well, no, not THAT much to drink…

    I also added a small impromptu cartoon to the other blog post, if you haven’t seen it already. :lmao:

    BTW, if you’re curious about where the former LGFers are gathering, many of them are on Gulf Coast Pundit Forums. You might want to stop by. Ed Mahmoud abu al Kahoul, the meteorologist lately expelled from LGF, provides his weather reports on GCP now. He is unimpressed with al-Goracle and other self-ordained apostles of pseudoscience.

    Gotta check on the cats… the older one fell asleep somewhere in the front room and I have to make sure he’s warm enough. :lazy:

    I think Australia’s Howard had a few clues and he was not afraid to tell Muslim fanatics to “get off”. We need more like him.

    Sounder

    I truly think Howard lost because he had been in a long time. Nothing was broken and nothing needed fixing. He served almost 12 years, he was older than Rudd, and the electorate and the demographics have changed a lot in that time
    .
    Twelve years ago many of the voters were just kids and had no idea what a Labor government was about.

    We had reached our Kyoto targets without even being a signatory to it which is amazing. We emit 1.5% of carbon emissions - not much really.

    I am consoling myself with the thought that perhaps Rudd won’t do as much damage as other Labor leaders have done in the past,,,and a few glasses of nice mellow red wine!
    What else can I do?

    Gramfan, my condolences on the Aussie election. This is not much consolation, but sometimes things have to get worse before people come to their senses. Not that I can accept that logic myself. :wallbash_tb: :furious_tb:

    I just now got banned from LGF. :banned: See It is time to punt Little Green Footballs for my take on it.

    Foehammer, your email box is full again…

    We’re in Nashville, TN, and I’m due to start yet another IT project on Monday. This temporary stuff is always difficult. Sure wish there were a few more permanent jobs for IT’ers out there.

    It’s been below freezing here and our motorhome heater is out. Until it’s fixed, we’re more or less getting by with two electric space heaters and the campground hot showers. We need to get a coolant pump air freighted out here, and it’ll be a few more days after that to get it installed. We also need a new circuit breaker on the generator, and a heating element in the hot water heater.

    These are all fairly minor things that I don’t expect to add up to much money. The real problem is that I’m very prone to catch respiratory infections, sometimes serious ones, if it gets chilly and drafty when I’m sleeping. Plus, we have a lovable 21-year-old cat who finds it necessary to use my head as an electric blanket, and I don’t have the heart to refuse! :wub_tb:

    Then after that, we gotta buy a different SUV or truck. We’re getting by with a rental for the time being. Please wish us luck and keep us in your prayers!

    Gramfan,

    It is certainly disappointing to see Howard lose the election. :(

    Makes one wonder why these things happen. We all like to think there are strong leaders against Islamism in place, unfortunately many don’t think that’s important. People don’t get it.

    Kyoto will simply cost richer nations plenty, right out of the peoples pockets and the more underdeveloped polluters like China and many others will get off scott free. The Liberals of the day in Canada signed the accord, did nothing whatsoever to achieve it, and are now using it as a weapon against Harper here, because he can’t do the impossible without robbing the people blind.

    Hi all,
    very OT but didn’t quite know where to post this.

    Haven’t been around that much due to last night’s election which ended as I had predicted on 1389’s ‘blog.
    Wasn’t happy with the result :(

    Am a bit out of the anti-jihad loop right now and things are getting busy for Christmas. (We also have a lot of family celebrations till mid-January).

    Will be trying to catch up eventually. Cheers to all :)
