Musharraf in his own words: Pakistan in ‘downward trend’

This pre-recorded video was played on Al Jazeera. In it Pervez Musharraf defends his reasoning behind declaring emergency rule in Pakistan. It is my opinion that we had better do everything we can to keep Musharraf safe and in control of Pakistan and if we fail to do so, we’d best have Special Forces standing by to drop in and secure that nuclear arsenal.

Lets hope some Islamic nutcase with a nervous twitch doesn’t get control of things, a nut case related to Ishamel as tgusa posted here today:

“He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.”

So fitting, the whole middle east described in one biblical text.

This Pakistan thing is one of the early parts of a predicted scenario playing out. It could go from bad to worse overnight.

Meanwhile, we have the clueless running around foaming at the mouth, crying over the cessation of democracy, never minding Islamic terrorists almost at the helm, when they have failed to understand Islam and Islamic countries, forever now, countries who do not want democracy, who do not know what it is and if they did know, that would only be an evil invention of the Kafir and so they would (will) turn on one another for fascist power, for there is no acceptable replacement for medieval Islam.

We value democracy, but Musharraf must prevail in this case, otherwise, … twitch, twitch. 8? There is no acceptable alternative, for now.

    I agree.

Though I am wary of an alliance with any Islamic nation, our alliance with Pakistan has prevented further radicalization there.

I dread Musharraf’s possible overthrow. After all, Pakistan has nukes! No doubt, some Islamist is twitching to get his hands on one of those nukes (as Sounder mentioned).

Bush is tossing Mushaaraf under the jihadist bus. Do I support dictators? No, but the alternative is even worse. Islam is incompatiblew with democracy so Bush demanding elections take place is just insane.

By this point I hope it is evident to the best and brightest we have, that we are no longer “allies” with any Islamic nations. Musharraf is himself not a Muslim of the same breed as an Ahmadinejad. He is for all intents and purposes a Westerner in his outlook and this is why he rose up and took control and averted disaster not once but twice. He understands the Islamists. He understands the real tragedy that would occur should they ever control a nuclear arsenal.

We should not think that we are allying ourselves with Muslims by keeping men like Musharraf alive. We should instead see that we are holding the Islamic world together with duct tape and a few closet secularists like Musharraf are the only thing keeping it all from tearing apart!

If Bush fails to keep Pakistan stable, there will be no excuse. I have predicted this fubar for too long. What the Hell do these dolts in D.C. get paid to do? Drink tea and coffee with foreign dignitaries and chase pages around the office?

Knowing Islam like I do today, I support dictators in the Middle East, not Islamic theocracies dressed up as democracies.

i think that pakistan should allow the us to bomb al queda mountain top resort in pakistan. warn no one. destoying this launch pad for jihad would show he means business. he should remember he has more than adequate back up. apparently jihad will rebuild, but while they are rebuilding they will be much weaker. or if activity springs up elsewhere it should be destroyed too. these people understand nothing but force. they do not care how many die. i think it might be time to play by their rules, and if the un condemns us i for one can live with it. the world community is looking for decisive leadership. it can only be the united states or islam. only brainwashed close-minded morons would pick the later. besides they need to die to get a decnt piece of ass anyway. i would love to help them to paradise.
