Well, I’m back and refreshed from the continuing holiday festivities. Since Thanksgiving, I have eaten two entire pies by myself, more than enough turkey to make me sleep like a hibernating polar bear and mounds of stuffing and mashed potatoes! I wonder what’s for Christmas dinner this year…

Two points about Arab-Israeli conflict.
1. Judging by the amount of news coverage it gets, Arab-Israeli conflict is the central conflict of the Muslim world. However almost every other conflict in the Muslim world, i.e., Afghanistan, India, Iraq, Sudan, Yugoslavia, etc., each produced more Muslim deaths than the Arab-Israeli conflict. And most of the Muslim blood of the Arab-Israeli conflict is on Muslim hands.
2. An average Muslim living in Israel has more freedoms that an average Muslim living in a Muslim country.
Conclusion: any Muslim attacking Israel in the name of liberating Muslim (politically or otherwise) is either too blind to see the facts or has an ulterior motive. Most common motives being expansionism of Islamism or deflection of anger from autocratic regimes to the world’s most convenient scapegoat, the Jews.

2. Freedom doesnt matter. Its all about the ummah and to establish Islamic law. The Islamic law that Mo-bomb-ed founded.

Appreciate your comment as this topic has frequently come up on local news sites here and is hotly debated by Muslim posters and left-wingers. I was around during the 6 Day war etc etc. I remember it well.
If it were all about Israel and Palestine then how does one explain all the other conflicts easily? One can’t.
600,000 Jews were expelled from Muslim lands, including Egypt, and about 600,000 residents left what is now Israel. The Jewish refugees were absorbed. The Palestinians were kept as refugees to be a political hot-potato.
