Iranian Threat Not A ‘Cry Wolf’

Iran and its nuclear programI’m sitting here listening to the President answer questions from the Press this morning. Like jackals the Press Corps is circling and looking to cast doubt and blame because of recent intelligence information that claims to put Iran’s intent and capacity to build nuclear weapons into doubt.

This is no ‘cry wolf’ situation. Iran is a threat, has been a threat and will continue to be a threat. I do not believe for one second that Iran is not building nuclear weapon capacity. I do not care what “information” is now being put forth. It simply makes no sense to me whatsoever that the Islamic Iranian regime would not be looking to arm itself with nuclear weapons.

I do not have access to intelligence reports. I wish I did, but what I’m implying right now is that I don’t believe what I’m hearing this morning. I think this is smoke and mirrors.

Iran is still enriching uranium. Iran is still testing ballistic missiles. Ahmadinejad tells us over and over what he intends.

Don’t take your eye off the ball, Mr. President.

I didn’t vote for Bush the first time and I regret I did the second. I am no fan of the Bush administration. I am aware of the true threats from Russia, China, Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia and predominantly from the Islamic world in general. I am simply keeping up the fight when too many others would toss down the gloves and then 10 years from now stare down the barrel of a gun and wonder why.

Wisdom seems to be a rare quality in modern times.

If Jon Swift (jonswift.blogspot.com) had written this piece it would have been biting satire. Unfortunately you mirror President Bush’s thinking closely and both of you are serious.

    Love you blog, btw

    @beastofbourbon:

Excuse me, but I recall that we went into Iraq based on “facts” that we would find WMD. I suppose you’d whistle a different tune about those “facts” then as long as it serves your viewpoint?

By calling me a “fringe lunatic” why would you not expect to have your comment deleted? Nice try.

Unfortunately for you, I am wise enough to use comments like yours against the commenter, to better illustrate my own capacity for thinking beyond the confines of the box someone like yourself lives in.

    Glass houses, sir. Glass houses.

You have done nothing to change my mind. I’m confident in my own intelligence, while yours is highly suspect — and yes, I’m talking about the grey matter between the ears this time.

This is a telling statement If you want to believe something , no amount of facts will get in your way………..you are a serious fringe lunatic…….good thing for the USA that you have no real power , only the right to speak….all can then see how much respect your views deserve……….. I do not expect to see this posted…………good day

“A non answer? How is ‘nuclear proliferation’ a dangerous thing a non answer?”

To who? Basically the entire world hates Israel? Who would the Israelis sell nukes to?

“Also, communists were willing to kill millions of their own citizens… This is a pretty terrible record. Plus, we were at war with the communists through many proxy wars. Something that we are barely doing with Iran in Iraq. You really think the Islamic menace we will face is worse than the one we had with the Soviets? Wow.”

Yes. I know the Qur’an, the hadiths, the sunas, the history of Islam.

“As for the unattributed quote, I think you ought to separate propaganda from real intentions. I think a country like Iran has too much to lose and that’s why they wouldn’t use nukes. A group like Al-Qaeda? Sure. But Iran? I don’t believe that for one second.”

“I think you are stereotyping Islam to fit your conclusion. I believe you that some Muslims are fanatics. I believe you that some Muslims will attack others because of religion. But, I also think that those aren’t the majority of Muslims. Plus, I think that religion is being missued by those in power to ensure they stay in power. If it wasn’t religion, it would be something else (like communism). ”

Dont blame me if I use Islamic text and history to draw my conclusion about Islam. Just tell me if Islam’s prophet expanded Islam and its territory by peace or war.
I also forgot to add the fact that your buddy Immadinner jacket wants to bring forth the Mahdi aka the anti-Christ.

Maybe I am blind. Maybe I want to be blind. I guess time will tell.

USSR had worse than an Islamic government, they had a fanatical communist government that was more painful to us than any Islamic government. And we were able to deal with them!

This statement typifies the mentality of those that oppose my goals here. You do not understand the most basic things about Islam.

Russians value their own lives, the vast majority are not Muslims and therefore do not worship the idea of being rewarded in Paradise for killing their enemies.

The threat from the Islamic world is the most dire that the Western world has ever faced. It is one that the West has faced several times before on the battlefield. It is one that has cost millions of innocent lives over the centuries via the Muslim scourge. It is a threat that is in our faces once again and wearing sheep’s clothing as often as it wears a scarf and a turban or a burqa, armed with a law or medical degree almost as often as an AK-47.

You underestimate the Muslims because you believe too highly in your own “superiority” and that is the greatest irony of all. I might not like what Islam stands for, but I certainly respect the tenacity and ingenuity of the enemies that are being lead by its tenets. One of the most common and idiotic excuses I hear from people on a regular basis as to why we shouldn’t worry is that, based on a racist and elitist logic, these most often Leftist thinkers believe that the Islamic world is incapable of defeating us.

Never underestimate a determined enemy, especially not one that is willing to die in order to further his own ends and garner rewards after death itself.
