Coulter speaks my own mind on McCain

Every great once in awhile, something comes along that puts things into perspective in a way that I simply couldn’t do better myself. Yesterday was one of those days.

I have been intending to do a proverbial tap dance on John McCain’s Presidential hopes, but Ann Coulter beat me to the punch and in a very shocking, typically Ann-fashion that must be seen to be fully understood. So, enough from me. Watch this video and you will then be left having to make some tough moral choices yourself come election time. All I know is this — John McCain and Barack Obama are not either fit to be President of the United States of America, and for reasons that would be very obvious to more Americans if they just had the courage to ask the tough questions.

Let’s get off the ‘Feel Good Train’ today, OK? Start using some Common Sense again, America.

Good to see you today Foehammer.
I saw her on Hannity and Combs last night also, and I was in total agreement with her. I have already decided I’d never vote for McCain. Who would have thought I could actually pull for Hillary? Not seriously! I would ask how we got to this point, but I already know the answer to that.

I predict that, if it comes down to an election between Hillary and McCain, or Hillary and Hussein, many conservative Americans may find themselves emigrating … to Russia.

I don’t know whether this is still the case, but for awhile, in Russia, they had “None of the Above” as a ballot alternative. If it won, new elections had to be held.

Also in complete agreement. I could not fathom, under any circumstance, voting for McCain. I used to think that I would NEVER . . .EVER vote for Hillery.

Oddly enough, eavesdropping in the cafeteria at work, actually, it is clearly audible, the liberal corner swears - in unison - if Hillery gets the nod, they will uniformly vote for McCain.

Such are the cards we’ve been dealt. Too late to buy a new deck. Sigh.

I don’t believe that I’ve ever felt so discouraged with regard to an upcoming national election.

    Are America’s best days over?

I take exception to Coulter’s position. It is probably anger that drove her to this point of view. Personally, I am of Victor Hanson’s opinion, which is that the gap between McCain and Hillary is miles wide. See NRO for Hanson’s opinion. He writes that the fight amongst conservatives is “surreal” and that after a few months of defeatocrat campaigning the right will for the most part rally behind the Republican nominee. Also, Michael Savage is for McCain for reason’s similar to Hanson’s.

IMHO, again, we see something at work in America about which I have warned many people. Perfectionism raises its ugly head again. At 71 McCain will be coming into his own at about the same age that Churchill was when he lead the West. I do not at present mean to suggest any other parallels between the two.

At any rate, I do remember the Korean War and the end of WWII clearly. I have been around awhile, and to be sure, if the defeatocrats get in, this country will be in for some rough times - recession and another 9/11-type attack. And, I thought the Viet Nam War aftermath was a tragedy because of the Left. Wait and see what Islam does with another exhibition of apparent American spinelessness! It seems that at least 50% of the American people are adolescent minded, i.e. immature, as per Diana West. See “The Death of the Grown Up: etc.”

    M,
I’m not particularly concerned about McCain’s age, although the state of his health does make the choice of VP important.

if the defeatocrats get in, this country will be in for some rough times - recession and another 9/11-type attack.

    I agree.

Now, maybe the jihadists are smart enough to be patient and advance their ideology via peaceful means (education, finance, etc.). But I wouldn’t count on it.

Of course I won’t be voting, but this election is important to almost everyone, especially other western democracies.

My feelings are that no charismatic, credible leader has emerged in the US as such.

It now looks like an Obama win is possible.

    Let’s reflect for a minute:

    UK Gordon Brown(nose).
    Australia Kevin (the dudd) Rudd
    France Sarkozy (what a disappointment!)
    US maybe Obama.
Germany Angela Merkal (what has she done?)

Faced with: Putin, Islamic belligerents,Korea, China, and who could forget the Saudis?

    What can I say?

    HELP!!!!!!!!

Ill sit this one out and let the Dems take credit for dragging the US down the crapper. If you want the Conservatives to get back in power, dont send a message that you will vote for a RINO, no matter how far he drifts to the left. Thats why we are in the mess now.

Between McCain & Hillary, I’d be neutral, given how evil Hillary is. The fact that her likely position on the war is similar to McCain is irrelevant here. And although I disagree with Obama on everything, if he were the nominee against McCain, I’d support him.

All you TX Republicans, you know that the GOP primary is over. Time to do to the Dems what they tried doing to us in 2000 in putting McCain on us in MI. The TX Dem primary is open to both Independents and Republicans, so do your part and crash it and vote Obama. If Hillary loses TX - something that won’t happen if only Dems vote in the Dem primary - it’s over for her, and the discussion about Super-delegates would be moot. So TX Republicans, here’s your chance. Please don’t pull that lever for Hillary - it’s not a given that she’d lose to McCain, particularly if Conservatives decide to sit out, like Coulter.

In the general elections, sit it out, by all means. Let BO win.
