A Brief for Whitey

Patrick J. Buchanan has got it all right in the following article from HUMAN EVENTS. I deem it worthy of cross-posting here in its entirety:

Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.How would he pull it off? I wondered.

How would Barack explain to his press groupies why he sat silent in a pew for 20 years as the Rev. Jeremiah Wright delivered racist rants against white America for our maligning of Fidel and Gadhafi, and inventing AIDS to infect and kill black people?

How would he justify not walking out as Wright spewed his venom about “the U.S. of K.K.K. America,” and howled, “God damn America!”

My hunch was right. Barack would turn the tables.

Yes, Barack agreed, Wright’s statements were “controversial,” and “divisive,” and “racially charged,” reflecting a “distorted view of America.”

But we must understand the man in full and the black experience out of which the Rev. Wright came: 350 years of slavery and segregation.

Barack then listed black grievances and informed us what white America must do to close the racial divide and heal the country.

The “white community,” said Barack, must start “acknowledging that what ails the African-American community does not just exist in the minds of black people; that the legacy of discrimination — and current incidents of discrimination, while less overt than in the past — are real and must be addressed. Not just with words, but with deeds … .”

And what deeds must we perform to heal ourselves and our country?

The “white community” must invest more money in black schools and communities, enforce civil rights laws, ensure fairness in the criminal justice system and provide this generation of blacks with “ladders of opportunity” that were “unavailable” to Barack’s and the Rev. Wright’s generations.

What is wrong with Barack’s prognosis and Barack’s cure?

Only this. It is the same old con, the same old shakedown that black hustlers have been running since the Kerner Commission blamed the riots in Harlem, Watts, Newark, Detroit and a hundred other cities on, as Nixon put it, “everybody but the rioters themselves.”

Was “white racism” really responsible for those black men looting auto dealerships and liquor stories, and burning down their own communities, as Otto Kerner said — that liberal icon until the feds put him away for bribery.

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America.

Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.

This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.

Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ’60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.

Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks — with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas — to advance black applicants over white applicants.

Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?

Barack talks about new “ladders of opportunity” for blacks.

Let him go to Altoona and Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for “deserving” white kids.

Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really white America’s fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena. And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.

    Brav -freakin’-o!
Thanks Foe. I had read Buchanan’s article on Jena and agreed with it too. ‘Comon how can a nation move forwards when many insist on living in the past.

If talk of racism ever vanishes then who or what will take the fall?
    Just sayin’.
Of course a free pass is given to those who let the anti-white rhetoric BS fly. I call them as I see them. And I say enough is enough. I have never treated anyone in my life according to their race any differently than another. Never! I have long time friends of many races.

We get along because we act towards one another as fellow members of the human race. Crazy huh? Heh.

It is a persons character and morals that count.
Wright et al keep the racism bubble afloat. It is what they butter their bread with. As long as there are blacks out there who blame present generations for the sins of the far distant past. They has a platform. What ever would they do if it all ended?

    Just my two cents

    BTW Great title.

I heard someone on a news channel this AM say that there is more coming on Obama’s “church”. That the basic theological belief of his church is that Marxism and the New Testament should be combined and that the white Christian Church is the Antichrist. As you said yourself Foehammer,”racism is just one more way to divert our attention”. And I concur with V.H., great title.

This may sound like an unrelated post, but it suddenly occurs to me the hardest part about living in modern times is the lack of a New World to run to. There are no uncharted wildernesses suited for settlement. There is no great hope on the horizon in which one can leave the dirty legacies of the present and start anew.

Just as our most recent forefathers did first in the 15th and again in the 18th centuries, when they fought the old regime and created something entirely new. Instead, we can’t run away.

I say this, though, knowing that its better to stay and fight - better to change your circumstances than letting them run you off.

The situation becomes difficult. Were we to have another world, another planet to repopulate, I’d say let divisions remain and the people be on their way. Give Islam a world to populate (or not, as I would rather prefer), the afrocentrics, the liberals, the conservatives … let them all live EXACTLY as they want to live, by themselves, and then we would see in plain sight the true nature of each beast.

But the only group that would actually be happy to do that would be the conservatives. Why? Because EVERY, OTHER, SINGLE group requires the hard-working and productive natures of the down-and-dirty people to create the capital upon which the success of any kind is built upon. Without these mostly simple and very hard-working people, liberal social agendas would fail as surely as Communism and Fasciscm (sp?). Afrocentrism would fall into a breeding ground of racial anarchy, dischord leading to absolute violent chaos - the same we see in Niger and Somalia. Hippies and new-agers would have no one to take care of them when their addictions overcome them.

Every other form of human sociology survives ONLY at the graces of the quiet conservative, the one who gets up every day with the most basic and important of human motivations - feeding their families. It’s this same kind of conservative who dominates our military, knowing without doubt that unless he takes the war to his enemy, his enemy will continue raging the war on his own homeland.

Barak is a conscious sleeper - one who “doesn’t believe any afrocentric rhetoric,” while quietly supporting every morsel of it. He’s already been proven a blatant double-talker with his comments on the rights of gun owners and his support of DC’s ban on firearms.

The afrocentrics need to stop thinking they’re afro anything. They’re Americans, or they would be if they started acting like it. They’re fine with people until people bring up the flaws of the afrocentric society. That person is automatically labeled racist (as I was recently after a simple conversation about how pleased I was to see black cowboys in the news versus Fubu-sporting thugs).

How can you stop someone from thinking they’re a victim, when such a mentality feeds on itself and everything around it? My first reaction is to beat them until they fight back so they can no longer deny they’re a victim. That would come at great cost, and it’s definitely not a first option.

Namely, the great sleeper, that body of conservatives who just want t live their lives with little government interference and less taxes, has to awaken and prove to the tree-hugging, “victimized” world that it’s tired of being thought of as old-fashioned, outdated and weak, and will not only step on toes but will crush feet until people snap out of whatever stupor they’ve been in and return to a simpler way of life.

But that’s rather hard. After all, we love TV.

I am just so sick and tired of sheep falling for Barak’s speaches about nothing. I am filled with fustration over the fact that hard working Americans cant see this guy for what he realy is. Barak is just another guy with a chip on his shoulder looking for more handouts. How can I get a handout? Who is going to send me to school? Nobody! You know why? Its because I am the M.F. busting his ass to pay for those handouts. So instead of an end to slavery the roles are reversed. Now black Americans are my master and I am forced to work hard and pay so that they may eat and live well while I grow tired and endure slavery.

First what politician is not a double talker. Why blame blacks for not forgetting past… blame the media they bring it up almost everyday of our lives. For a population that is roughly 11% they get the most of the media, while latinos’ are 30% and growing and get none.

Besides government and big business will always keep each group divided, pitted against each other, because if we woke up and realized we don’t need their stuff to feel better, we could fight them and maybe take this country back for all of it’s citizens.

Because without a class system, rich are just regular people just like the rest of us.

“Also, let me be blunt: These problems disproportionately affect African Americans, and we need to recognize that it is harder to be black in America than it is to be European, Asian, or Latin American because of the history of slavery and government-endorsed segregation and welfare dependency. Slavery and segregation are gone. But we have a long way to go to undo the culture of dependency, crime, and deviancy that the welfare state has created and sustained.” -Newt Gingrich, Winning The Future

Ity amazes me that supposedly rational, intelligent thinking adults actually believe that some how All white people in this country are hard working nine-to-fivers working hard to support all the lazy non working African American Crack heads and their multitude of illiterate welfare babies. Wow, Lucas, Speilberg, Stephen King and Dr. Seuss could not have concocted a better fairy tale. For every black crackhead, I’ll show you 10 white meth-heads, for every Black welfare mom, I’ll show you 10 white trailer-trash queens. for every Black man incarcerated, I’ll show you a Prosecutor, Judge, Policeman, corrections officer, contractor, and government vendor who make their living feeding the penal “industry”. How dare Pat Buchanan sit on that side of BS white male privelage and talk about how he has been victimized. His research is non-existent, his statistics are fabricated and he is about as lucid in his argument as a Bob Dylan is on his recordings. Where does he get that Black people were introduced to Christianity in America? There’s this thing called the bible, Read the Book of Acts. The Christian church as America knows it today was started in NORTH AFRICA. This is beyond Sen. Obama, and Dr. Wright, this is about White conservatives showing their true colors….Red! especially about the neck. You would also do well to consider one statistick Mr. Buchanan left out…White people outnumber black people on the nations welfare rolls by ELEVEN to one!
