It’s St. Patty’s Day again already. Where does the time go?
I’m going to kick back and relax today, because I’m actually half-Irish and, well, I need a break from the depressing garbage I’ve been wading through month in and month out. I bet you all do, too. In that Irish Spirit I’m going to present you with something I Googled up and was quite entertained by. I don’t know if Jimmy Hook is for real or just a good story-teller; I haven’t bothered to watch any of his other episodes to find out. What I do know is that this video is worth watching and, in a bizarre and spooky way, it points towards the “root of all evil” that seems to be coming to the forefront of everything that I study of late. You know what that evil is, don’t you?
Money. Moola. Cash. Credit. The Green Stuff.
The Green Stuff. I suppose this really is my official St. Patty’s Day 2008 post then!
Yep, Money makes the world go ’round. Money corrupts. Money makes people come up with all sorts of rationale for their bad behavior. Money keeps the lawyers in court and the bankers in business. Money enslaves. Money buys happiness. Money buys women. Money buys men. Money, money, money. I have to tell you, if you haven’t gotten my point yet, today, I’m just saying that Money is what’s behind every major problem in the world, and especially in the United States. “Follow the money.” That’s what I’m doing a lot of lately. I’m following the money all the way up the steps of Congress. I’m following the money right to Iraq. In fact, I’m even following the money to Ground Zero.
“What, Foehammer?!”
That reminds me — I’m sure there will be plenty of “Irish” dancing in the streets of NYC today. God bless ‘em.
Well then, without more baloney to spin your head around today, here is Episode 2 from Jimmy Hook’s YouTube adventures, “Irish Girls.” Enjoy. (Oh, and friendly warning, this is for adults only, because there’s a little blue language, so scoot the little leprechauns out of the room before pressing play.)
Now, I must go prepare to meet some pretty Irish girls and drink green beer, because after all, I’m a red-blooded American and I’ve got a Revolution to plan.
Slanche!
