Alive and not yet food for the Rich

My friends, I am alive and well. However, the Anvil has been the victim of a barrage of hacking since March and I have reached a point where I do not know if I will be able to contend with it for much longer. Bots are automatically sniffing my site and looking for any vulnerabilities 24/7. The ‘Let Them Eat Cake’ article was yet another instance of hacking — this time not bringing down my databases, but somehow inserting code that managed to close comments and remove the body of text from the article itself.

I’m sorry that I did not respond sooner to all the questions, but I have been out of state on business and have a laundry list of things waiting to get done that are trumping the Anvil. I also hope that more and more of you understand now why I have maintained my anonymity through all of these years. Can you even imagine what would happen to my life if I couldn’t at least put the Anvil aside. I would not be safe, my family would not be safe, my friends, etc. We live in a world where powers on all sides want to shut you and me up. Keep us enslaved to lies and faery tales. It hardly matters if it’s a false Congress in Washington, DC or a pack of sheep herders bent on dressing their women in full-body bags and sunglasses, it amounts to the same thing to me anymore. Carbon Tax. Obama-mania. McCain the “war hero” and on and on. I could not even begin to fictionalize the truth of the madness that I witness every single day in this world. I was just out among the Oligarchy itself and how out of touch the rich are with the rest of us is equivalent to how we might ignore the ants crawling beneath our sandals on a Summer day. It is that bad and that gross.

I will never give up having my say, but I will leave my comment here today by simply warning that I may be saying a lot less. Yet, when I do, I hope it will count for something and somehow rise above the torrent of hate that continues to slam against those of us with the courage to speak out.

    Hi Gramfan,

Feel that confusion, too. And agree with your thoughts. Listening to our presidential hopefuls is so discouraging. 80 percent of us (a number that grows daily), say we are on the wrong track, and the response? To head even further and faster down the wrong track. Maybe in the long run, worse will be better, bringing it all to a head that much sooner.

Thanks to FH, we can better identify the agendas and the propaganda. Thats a priceless advantage, as I believe that whenever something can be named or exposed,it becomes easier to fight, easier to unite in response.

And thanks for that great link. Just amazing to see history being turned upside down, rewritten before our eyes.

It has taken me a while to get back. I guess I was waiting for email updates, and life just moves along.

Foe, I am not getting any follow-ups whatever :(

I sense frustration and disillusion from some of the posts here and feel the same.

Not only do we have to contend with islam, but our own governments who seem intent on bringing our own countries down.

No one seems to think that freedom and liberal democracy count for anything any longer - this is my impression - yet years ago that was almost a left mantra.

I wish someone could explain to me why the left wingers are determined to see us go down the road of totalitarianism and loss of freedom.

    I am confused.

    FH,
If you decide to stop blogging, I’ll understand completely even though I’d miss this site very much. But please let me hear from you one in a while. You have your email addy.

@Patricia: If I have been a “teacher” of any kind, it was never my intent to become one. I simply pursued the idea of open discussion and education and this is where I have ended up.

The site was hacked again last night. Definitely a bot attack. Simple enough to fix, but obviously it is wasted time and effort for me and that is the crime.

If I am driven away from blogging it will be by the realization that advances in computing and communication are not always a good thing. I very often find myself remarking that cell phones and the Internet are more distraction and interruption than they are of good use, and these devices cultivate more of a loss of true human interaction and understanding (i.e. face to face conversation) than anyone would have ever imagined possible in a 50’s horror novella.

Hackers typify the spawn of this new age.

Foehammer you have certainly taught me much, I’ll be forever grateful. I will miss you very much if you decide not to do this any more. I can hardly comprehend the time and effort it must take. You have done your part and you’ve done much more than your share. We are all in this together and must do our part too. We’ll all be called upon soon to do a lot more. I can see it coming.
On another note, let me be the first say please write that book! I’ll be waiting in line to buy it. But until then I await more from our teacher.

@LadyPredator: Hang in there and always protect your privacy and yourself at every opportunity.

@Always: Yes, blogging is a burden that I am quickly realizing I may not want to bear for much longer. I have said more than enough over the years and the materials here on the Anvil should suffice to wake up a few more minds without me having to say or type another word.

I have a few important things to get off my chest in the coming weeks. Once those ideas and questions are stated, I may very well cease blogging. My life deserves more attention than I have been giving it and, honestly, I will be able to do far greater works if I actually get back to what lies outside the Internet. This form of communication has limits that are becoming worse with each passing week (ie hacks, would-be-taxation, expenses, etc.).

When blogging stops returning what you put into it, that is when you should consider other avenues. I believe writing a book is in my future and will serve a greater purpose.

It is a *very* good idea to keep yourself anonymous I am fully convinced some of the nightmare I’m going though is because I am not anonymous. Keep up the good work Foe. And pray for me.

A lot of us here in America are feeling the disconnect with our leadership. In my opinion, something drastic will have happen before we get our own country back.

I’m finding blogging a real slog these days. I’m that discouraged.

Thanks for the barrage of kind emails and comments that I have received in recent weeks. I wish I could say that this would spur me to write an article right now, but I’m not quite ready to do that just yet. I suppose I have to admit that I’m human and have obligations beyond the Anvil…

@Gramfan: I updated the Subscribe to Comments code that I believe you are referring to and hopefully this will resolve any problems you are encountering. If it does not, than I will have to chalk this latest issue up to the fact that I have had to make so many changes in recent weeks in order to protect the Anvil from hacking, that is is an unfortunate side-effect that some things that once worked normally are no longer viable.

    :fever:

Meanwhile, EUrabia is rapidly moving towards fascism:

The EU’s monetary affairs commissioner has called for far-reaching new powers for the European Commission. He would like Brussels to have greater control over economic policy in euro zone countries – and even wants its members to speak with one voice on the international stage. […] [EU Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Joaquin Almunia] says the Commission should also have a hand in determining “adequate wage developments, flexibility and security on labor markets.”

It would appear we are getting silenced left, right and center.

Things are indeed bad in this country when we have to worry you may have been silenced in any way. That should not be one of the first things we think of. How terribly sad it is.
I am so happy you are well! I must rush out and tell everyone who’s been asking about you! And there are many!
    Rest up my friend!
