This should not come as a surprise to my regulars, but I am going to make this official: I am on an indefinite hiatus from blogging here at the Anvil. This does not mean that I will never put an entry up. This does not mean that I will never do another radio interview or podcast. What this means is that I am taking three steps back and not slaving myself to this ship like I have done for upwards of 4 years now in various forms.

As many of you are aware of by now, I am experiencing problems with the hosting at the Anvil. This has been continuing off and on for months and in recent weeks it has built up a full head of steam.
This may be the last blog entry I make here at the Anvil for many days, so just be prepared. I am being badgered by my hosts with nebulous emails, unexpected service denials, etc., all during a time in my life when I need them the least and am not able to make much sense of what they claim to be the “problem” with the Anvil. In other words, I’m out of patience and short on solutions.

Unfortunately, I was not aware until just this morning that my Jihad News Feeds site had gone off-line due to server error. It was down for two days but is now back and working and I am hopeful it will stay that way. If you are unfamiliar with Jihad News Feeds, it is a little project I tossed together to help organize each day’s news related to Anti-Jihad, Jihad, Islam and Sharia. Bookmark it today.

I find that I’m getting information overload from the explosion of anti-Jihad blogs and web sites, many of which carry the same news. I think some sort of consolidation needs to be carried out in order to reduce the redundancy and time-wasting.
And I agree. That’s why I prepared for this eventuality six months ago.

I didn’t make a post yesterday, but I did re-organize the Anvil a bit more; hopefully for the better. And the day before that I worked almost all day and created a mirror site of the Anvil at Foehammer.com for safe-keeping of future articles that I post here, and also to accommodate those readers on slow connections. It’s also Digg-able, unlike Foehammer.net itself. You can just call it Foehammer, or how I affectionately like to refer to it, Foehammer Lite.
After a long wait, I’ve finally put together a custom forum for my slowly evolving Foehammer Network. You’ll find an obvious link in the sidebar or you may click here.

Today, I am proud to unveil the 1st new site within the Foehammer Network: Jihad News Feeds.
Jihad News Feeds is a news page, but it focuses specifically on jihad, Islamic terrorism, Sharia, and Islam-related sites. Summaries from relevant sites that I deem to be the vanguard in the fight against Islamofascism are featured daily and updates are automatic. I hope you find it as useful as I do already.

Yes, you’re looking at an entirely new face for Foehammer’s Anvil. It’s taken a lot of work and more investment of my own time and treasure, but I think the result is worth it. And let’s face it: I’m in this fight for the long haul.
If you run across any broken links, etc., don’t panic: Anvil 2.0 is still in its infancy and I’m going to be tweaking the design quite a bit during its initial stages. That being said, please bring anything really troubling to my attention, because with a staff of just me, there are bound to be some things that sneak by even my trained eye.

I realize that things have been quiet here for a few days. I can’t begin to describe the amount of work I’ve been doing and the commensurate bugs that have to be squashed while building websites, but as you might have noted already from the title of this entry, things are indeed multiplying!
From the very start of Foehammer’s Anvil, I envisioned a network of sites as a possibility. Well, that possibility is soon to become a reality: the Foehammer Network is being built!
