Today I’m bringing you some footage from one of the White House Correspondents Association dinners. This is a time when the elite in Washington, D.C. hob-knob with the very reporters that are supposed to be keeping an eye on them. It’s supposed all be in good fun. Supposed to be.

Happy Halloween! If you’re anywhere near my age, then you have laughed at the antics of Don Knotts and the comedy duo of Abbott and Costello. I remember particularly well seeing two Halloween-styled comedies as a kid that made me roll on the floor. In tribute to these movies and today’s spooky-fun holiday, I searched out two rare pieces of film footage. The first is the actual trailer from ‘The Ghost and Mr. Chicken’ and the second is a blooper reel from ‘Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein’.

The irreverent atheist Pat Condell never ceases to amuse me with how he dissects Islam into all its bigoted parts. WSN’s Sept. 24 article, “Muslims lacking a place to cleanse,” pointed out that footbaths might be a better option than the Bobst sinks for Islamic students washing their feet in observance of Salah, the daily prayer ritual. This provoked passionate debate in the online article comments, with many readers posting responses best described as bat-shit crazy.
This is just the start of a wave of televised propaganda that you should come to expect. Cartoons are on the way for the kiddies, too. Learn to love the very thing that will destroy you.

“The fact that we’re here is bigger than anything we could have even hoped for,” said Guarascio, creator, along with Port, of the CW sitcom “Aliens in America.” “But being here seems to make sense, you know, appropriate.”

2 CommentsThere are no fewer than 15 shows called Something: The Musical on this year’s Fringe, from Asbo to Orgasm, all doubtless in pursuit of this year’s new prize for music theatre. If there were a prize for poor taste, the creators of this show might have been hoping for a podium finish at least, though there is something else called “Cabaret Auschwitz” which would surely run them pretty close.

Careful what you wish for because you just might get it. OK, at ease. Sit down, shutup and listen to what General George S. Patton has to say about Iraq and the Long War. The man is one of my heroes, and if you didn’t know that it’s only because you haven’t been reading enough of the Anvil — you’re lucky I don’t send the General over to your house right now to slap you around!!

I’m just in a surly mood this morning (probably because I haven’t had my coffee yet), so I think I’ll just post some things here to annoy Islamists.
I’m sure many of you remember the wahoo that was created back in April, 2006 on Comedy Central when ‘South Park’ creators intended to air an episode lampooning Muhammad. Comedy Central producers whimped out bigtime, of course, and no images of Muhammad were shown; tensions were still running high from the Cartoon Riots.
