I just heard the most predictable factoid: 41% of Al Qaeda fighters in Iraq are Saudi Arabians. Apparently record keeping by some Al Qaeda higher-ups has been captured by the U.S. military and careful records have revealed a detailed accounting of the social and regional makeup of the Al Qaeda operatives inside Iraq. Many of these Islamic terrorists are being recruited directly off of Islamic college campuses across the Middle East and around the world. This, again, is quite predictable.
From allAfrica.com with some spelling edits by me for good measure and better English:
As Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid-ul-fitr, commonly known as Koriteh, which marks the end of the month of Ramadan, President Yahya Jammeh, has called on the Islamic Ummah to be steadfast, bold and united in the spirit of Islam to condemn any form of attack on the Islamic religion.
While President Ahmanutjob of Iran gets U.S. Secret Service protection in NYC today and visits Ground Zero (despite NYC official protests) and speaks at Columbia University by invitation (there go our Leftofascist, dhimmi professors again), word slides down the hill that President George W. Bush doesn’t have the will to bomb Iranian nuclear facilities without apparently grandiose provocation. This country needs an enema.
From the Drudge Report comes a report that reads much like fantasy to me, but there might be some modicum of truth inside. You decide:

Muqtada al-Sadr capitalized on Iraqi tension yesterday after the Blackwater Company, a mercenary outfit hired to protect dignitaries in Iraq, came under fire from the Iraq government after the death of 8 Iraqi civilians. When are we going to actually start behaving like a force that believes in its own values and deal with slugs like al-Sadr properly? By properly I don’t mean appeasing his followers and letting al-Sadr run around free to aid Iran in the killing of American and Coalition soldiers; I mean shooting him.

By now you’ve all heard about this tape, but I must post because of the significance that bin Laden appears to be yet alive, if only slightly warm. The tape appears to have been made sometime in mid-August because of references to the 67th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki which just passed on August 6th. From MSNBC.com:
WASHINGTON - Democrats were criticized in a purported video by Osama bin Laden for being unable to stop the Iraq conflict. The video, obtained Friday by the U.S. government, NBC News and other news oprganizations, marked the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
From Pat Dollard | Young Americans:
As I was flying through the sky, instead of being in a blackout as I should be, my mind was a perfectly focused computer: I realized that Conley had stepped directly onto a bomb, I realized he was dead, and I hoped as I landed that my wounds would not be so bad, and that I indeed might even survive. And somehow, I was able to wonder why I was completely free of the shock that 95% of the others told me they experienced. I wondered why I was so locked into the reality of what was happening.
