For years now I have warned over and over that our continuing ignorance of history as a people would come back to haunt the United States. Our leaders insist that Islam is a peaceful religion and that only Al Qaeda and “radical Islamic extremists” (thanks for that extreme phrase, John McCain) are to blame for Islamic terrorism. But I pay attention to history and this is why I won’t shut up.

It seems that Congressman King has caused a political firestorm in recent days by having the courage to actually proclaim to the world what I myself pointed out here for the first time at the Anvil way back in January of 2007, again in February 2007, and still further in March 2007. Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo has the guts to tell it like it is about the threat from illegal immigration and Islamic terrorists all in one quick new campaign commercial. As far as I am concerned, this is the closest yet that any candidate for the Presidency has come to actually confronting the greatest and most dire issue of our time: Islamism. Tancredo deserves high praise for this campaign spot, but I guarantee he will get just as much or more negative attention for being so bold, because that is the state of this nation of ours; we are constantly mislead by a Leftist media that is expert at playing ‘See no Evil, hear no Evil’ when it comes to the Islamist agenda.

Quite obviously the main focus of the Anvil is Islamic Terrorism and the greater threat of Islamism. This undoubtedly suits the old guard KGB that are hiding in the shadows and it helps the Chinese Communists sleep well at night, too. But I’m not unaware of the “big picture” and the other “bad guys” out there. I’m watching you, China.

The Senate on Wednesday voted 76-22 for the non-binding amendment sponsored by Republican Jon Kyl and independent Joseph Lieberman to place the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, or Pasdaran, on the US terrorist blacklist.

I have done quite a bit of interstate travel in my time. I have never, ever had any reason to stop to take photographs of an interstate bridge. Could be because there’s rarely anything aesthetically pleasing about interstate bridges; dirty ugly cement, flat roadway, no adornments and a few pillar supports.

September 5, 2007 (RFE/RL) — German authorities say they have arrested three suspected Islamic terrorists for allegedly plotting bomb attacks on Frankfurt airport and a U.S. military base in Ramstein.
Defense Minister Franz Josef Jung said the threat had been “imminent.”
Officials said the arrests took place on September 4, and that police had carried out searches across the country.
