‘War with Islam’ Alert. From the AP:
A Sunni insurgent coalition posted Web videos on Thursday naming the head of al-Qaida in Iraq as “minister of war” and showing the execution of 20 men it said were members of the Iraqi military and security forces.
The announcement unveiling an “Islamic Cabinet” for Iraq appeared to have multiple aims. One was to present the Islamic State of Iraq coalition as a “legitimate” alternative to the U.S.-backed, Shiite-led administration of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki — and to demonstrate that it was growing in power despite the U.S. military push against insurgents.
I have to say that I am beyond patience with Al Jazeera. They seem to be in absolute complicity with Al Qaeda in their constant first-hand flow of information from terrorists to the rest of the world. Wouldn’t it be reasonable to assume that it would save many lives to shut this propagandist, terrorist-mouthpiece organization down and start interrogating its employees? Some of them obviously know where Al Qaeda leadership and couriers are located, as well as email contacts and web sites, cell phones and information dumps. And on top of that, the luster that is currently surrounding these all-to-well documented kidnappings and beheadings will not be what it has been if the videos are not so easily and readily available to news agencies.
