Judge orders Muslim woman jailed for wearing hijab

USA Today reports and so it goes…

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says a Muslim woman was cited for contempt of court yesterday because she refused to remove her hijab, a head covering that she wears for religious reasons.

The paper says Lisa Valentine, 40, was arrested on charges of violating a policy that bars headcoverings inside the Douglasville, Ga., courthouse. A judge ordered her to spend 10 days in jail, but the paper says she was released a few hours later.Boston Mosque Distress

Freedom of Speech-in-Action: Robert Spencer at Young America’s Foundation

On August 2, 2007, Robert Spencer delivered a speech to the Young America’s Foundation conference in Washington, D.C. The infamous Council on American-Islamic Relations made loud legal threats against YAF in order to attempt to intimidate the organization into not having Spencer as a guest speaker. CAIR’s efforts proved fruitless as the YAF refused to relent the right to Freedom of Speech!

YAF spokesman Jason Mattera introduces Mr. Spencer.

Complaints from CAIR get tv station to pull plug on televangelist Keller

Firefox 2

ST. PETERSBURG - For the first time in nearly five years, controversial Christian televangelist Bill Keller is going off the air.

Keller - known for his vitriolic criticism of religious, political and pop culture figures - said Thursday his program was yanked in response to pressure from local Muslims.

Earlier this month, officials from the Council on American Islamic Relations wrote to executives at CBS asking them to investigate Live Prayer with Bill Keller, an hourlong nightly program.

Calling God “Allah” would be submission to Islam

The Little Mermaid in burqaI wonder how many of you have heard of this. I hope you understand the implications and why it is not just coincidence that the suggestion to call God “Allah” comes from a Catholic Bishop from the Netherlands. Intimidation and murder have obviously done the job for the Islamic jihadists that were behind the stabbing death of film maker Theo van Gogh. Just as I have warned over and over again here at the Anvil that the Islamists have nothing but time on their hands to erode our will as long as Muslims live among us and prosper, this suggestion of further dhimmitude comes like a warning flare out of the darkness of ignorance.

Islamic Glacier in America Moving Faster: North Carolina

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with a Koran
This is going to outrage you. Write to your representatives about this dhimmi-fool Judge Ridgeway, and if you live in North Carolina or the surrounding states, be sure to write to your newspaper editors and local news channels, too.

From PipelineNews.org:

Acting against the advice of North Carolina’s Attorney General - with staff attorney Valerie Batemen stating, “The main complaint of the ACLU and the plaintiff is a political one, not a legal one” - Wake County Superior Court judge Paul Ridgeway today decided that the Quran may be used during the swearing in process for witnesses.

Sharia wins at Dell

In case anyone missed this one (hat-tip: Sheila), here’s a report from the Tennessean:

Muslim contract employees at the Dell Inc. plant in Nashville reached a settlement with the company on issues related to a dispute over prayer in the workplace, a national Islamic civil rights advocacy group announced yesterday in Washington.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations said the 31 Muslim employees, who left work last month in a disagreement over Islamic prayers, will be reinstated, receive back pay, and be granted religious accommodation. Managers also will also receive additional training on existing religious accommodation policies and practices.

Winfield Myers: Conn. teacher encourages Muslim mau-mauing

Caitlin Dean poses in her burqa
Readers here will have not soon forgotten my recent article in regards to what I call the ‘Burqa Blowout of Bacon Academy’ that actually brought me under personal attack by some students from that very school. Well, I’m definitely not alone in my criticisms of what goes on in Bacon Academy, as well as criticisms of some of its students, faculty and parents, and the events and groups (i.e. CAIR) surrounding it. From Winfield Myers (hat tip: Sheila):

Inference does not equal Truth

Keith Ellison Muhammad
Now that I’m finally catching up with my rebuild of this website and have time to comment again, I couldn’t let the recent swearing in of Congressman Keith Ellison go without note.

I’m steamed. Very steamed. I view the inclusion of a Muslim into the United States Congress bad enough for reasons that would be obvious to most of you, but Ellison has proven me right in what I’ve stated privately for many weeks now: his first allegiance is to Islam and not the United States of America. And how am I sure of that? Well, he demanded to be sworn in on a copy of the Qur’an. But not just any Qur’an mind you — one that belonged to Thomas Jefferson.

U.S. Holocaust Memorial Distances Itself From Right-Wing Pundit

The irony of this report strikes me. The U.S. Holocaust Memorial takes a stand for Muslim rights — the very people that would eradicate the state of Israel if given the chance (they’ve failed at least three times so far) and whose varied leaders have from time to time shrugged off the Holocaust as so much mythology* — and they do it by posturing for the rights of the first Muslim elected to Congress!

Foehammer quoted in the Chicago Sun-Times

Well, well. It looks as if the pot is boiling when I actually find myself getting quoted in a major U.S. newspaper. Sure, there is no effort to actually name me, but that goes without any surprise considering the slant of the nice folks at CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations). They aren’t actually able to comprehend that I’m a very normal, highly intelligent, well-educated American that is hating Islam for all the right reasons. No, that reality is far, far too scary for them. I completely understand their side of things. You bet I do. I’d be scared of Americans like me, too.
