Author Robert Spencer gets a chance to stretch in an interview for a change. Here’s a taste from The Catholic Herald, ‘Jihad will destroy us if we don’t act now’:
“Above all, we shouldn’t fight among ourselves, but against global jihad. If we’re consumed with each other then we don’t stand a chance.
“Fascism lasted 25 years, Communism for 75; Islam is 1,400 years old, the imperative to make war against unbelievers is 1,400 years old and they believe they are fighting a 1,400-year-old struggle. And jihad will destroy us if we don’t do anything about it.”
Warning: Elements to this article are best not read until after your breakfast. If these things are true, the silence of the Western Media is deafening. Commercials run in the United States to help the persecuted black Muslims of Darfur because of racial lines, but Assyrian Christians that have been persecuted in the Middle East for a thousand years go almost unheard of. The Left in the United States has a very twisted sense of good and evil, balance and imbalance. Just as it is apparently fine to mock Christians with a chocolate Christ at Easter, but dare not even pen a cartoon of Muhammad, the world as a whole is showing that this is not only a war of ideas, but a war of religions and a war of the spirit. Good people can not possibly read what is below and not react with revulsion and even more questions for Muslims.
