My friends, I am alive and well. However, the Anvil has been the victim of a barrage of hacking since March and I have reached a point where I do not know if I will be able to contend with it for much longer. Bots are automatically sniffing my site and looking for any vulnerabilities 24/7. The ‘Let Them Eat Cake’ article was yet another instance of hacking — this time not bringing down my databases, but somehow inserting code that managed to close comments and remove the body of text from the article itself.
Bravo, Congressman Steve King of Iowa! It seems that Congressman King has caused a political firestorm in recent days by having the courage to actually proclaim to the world what I myself pointed out here for the first time at the Anvil way back in January of 2007, again in February 2007, and still further in March 2007. Most recently I wrote about this in an op-ed piece entitled: Criticism of Obama’s Muslim background is absolutely justified.
I don’t believe I should have to continue beating this poor dead horse every single day. I believe that most of you know that when I say that Islam must not be accepted as a part of Western life, you agree. The problem today is that too many Westerners and non-Muslims do not have the courage to speak out. Well, watch this video. This young journalists from Belgium has more courage than most of us and she put it to very good use. Thirty year old Flemish journalist Hind Fraihi went undercover to see if the upcoming generation of young Muslims in Brussels and the surrounding regions of Belgium were truly peaceful or not. What she found should not surprise anyone any longer.
Well, today will be a little day of protest right here at the Anvil. I’ve been sitting on a couple of videos waiting for just the right moment to post them, and I believe the outrage I’m feeling over the fact that an American student has been arrested for a “hate crime” at Pace University, because he had the courage and good sense to flush a Quran in a toilet without apology, will serve as a damn good reason to watch the Quran burn a little:

I received this email this morning. It is the first of its kind and I wanted to share it with my readers and get your opinion on this man’s accusation. Here then is the complete body of the email:
Message: You say you are a warrior against terrorism. A warrior has the courage to sign his name to his word. I have been a warrior against terrorism. Do not dimminish the name and reputation of those I have seen die in active service by adding your anonymous pseudonym to that role of honour. You are not a warrior until you fight in a real war against a real enemy and risk real life. You are a virtual warrior and then only in your overactive imagination.
