Cop Killer LaBeet Related To Muslim-American Mass Killer

Lady Predator brought this to my attention and then I started digging. As I sensed, there is much more to the LaBeet story then what first appears and wouldn’t you know it — there does seem to be an Islamic connection. Here we are smack-dab in the Islamic month of Ramadan (began September 13th) and one Muslim is caught with an AK-47 in a Michigan park just days ago before he can do any harm, then not long after, Shawn LaBeet kills (supposedly with an AK-47) 1 police officer and wounds 3 others in Miami and seemed prepared to do it by accounts of his body armor and beard. And now there is this connection between Shawn LaBeet and a blood-related mass killer who hijacked a plane to Cuba and has been on the the FBI wanted list ever since: Ishmael Ali LaBeet. Ishmael Ali. Bingo.

Man on FBI terrorism watch list reported for taking photos of bridge is released

I have done quite a bit of interstate travel in my time. I have never, ever had any reason to stop to take photographs of an interstate bridge. Could be because there’s rarely anything aesthetically pleasing about interstate bridges; dirty ugly cement, flat roadway, no adornments and a few pillar supports.

Anvil Alerts for July 2007

I have several ideas in front of me for great articles to write, but I’m simply not up to the task today to publish any of them. Sometimes I just need a breather.

But I don’t want to let many days go by where I don’t post something worth reading here at the Anvil, so with the number of things I’m being alerted to via email, Twitter, phone and comments, I feel I should just put the links here in a concise format for July 2007 and update when necessary.

Iran says it is holding 4th dual citizen

15 British sailors and marines kidnapped by Iran from Iraq waters
Another American held hostage in Iran. Like this is news? I’d call it a bad habit. From the AP :

Iran confirmed Friday for the first time that it is holding an Iranian-American peace activist, the fourth dual citizen it has detained in recent months, according to a semiofficial news agency.

Ali Shakeri of Lake Forest, Calif., was being held on security-related charges and investigated by the security department of the Tehran prosecutor’s office, the Iranian Student News Agency reported. It provided no source for the information and calls to Iranian judicial officials were not immediately returned Friday, a weekend day in the Islamic country.

Acts of “violent jihad”

Looks like I would have won that wager.

CHICAGO (AP) — A man was arrested Friday by federal agents on charges of planning to set off hand grenades in a shopping mall.

Derrick Shareef, 22, of Rockford, was arrested when he met with an undercover agent in a parking lot to trade a set of stereo speakers for four hand grenades and a handgun.

Federal officials said he planned to set off four hand grenades in garbage cans at the CherryVale shopping mall in Rockford, about 90 miles northwest of Chicago.

The Next Islamic Terror Attack On the Brink?

I first heard about this report on the radio last night.

From CBS:

(CBS) U.S. officials believe Canadian arrests over the weekend and three recent domestic incidents in the United States are evidence the U.S. will soon be hit again by a terrorist attack. Privately, they say, they’d be surprised if it didn’t come by the end of the year, reports CBS News correspondent Jim Stewart in a CBS News exclusive.

UAE company to help oversee six ports in U.S.

This needs to be stopped cold. From an AP report today:

WASHINGTON - A company in the United Arab Emirates is poised to take over significant operations at six American ports as part of a corporate sale, leaving a country with ties to the Sept. 11 hijackers with influence over a maritime industry considered vulnerable to terrorism.

The Bush administration considers the UAE an important ally in the fight against terrorism since the suicide hijackings and is not objecting to Dubai Ports World’s purchase of London-based Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co.

Leftist-Hacker Criminal-Traitors

I received the following email from Protest Warrior today. Be sure to visit their site and support their efforts, but also go to the site of their new nemesis and make sure you email Jeremy Hammond your thoughts. I did. “Rot in jail, traitor.” Read on:

Using the hacker recruiting ground www.hackthissite.org, Jeremy Hammond put together and led a team of politically motivated “hacktivists” to probe the ProtestWarrior server for months until an exploit was found. When an obscure vulnerability was discovered in the PW server’s newsletter subscription code, they managed to upload malicious files that gave them the ability to execute commands on the server.

U.S. Officials: How to Stop Terrorist Takeover of Schools

We continue to hear the word “terrorist” over and over in the media and from our government. This “minority” issue with Islam, as it is also labeled, sure seems to be snowballing out of control when the U.S. government is now warning our police how to attempt to stop school massacres from happening here on American soil as they already have over in Russia. For such a “minority”, the jihadists behind all the beheadings and child murders and suicide bombings seem to have no end of volunteers. Now, why is that?

Commentary Too Serious to Ignore

You must read this United Press International commentary By Arnaud de Borchgrave:

WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 (UPI) – Before we convince ourselves al-Qaida’s down for the count, look at the stats.

Number of Islamist extremists in the world, as estimated by moderate Muslim leaders, about 12 million. Number of fundamentalist sympathizers: 120 million. That’s one and 10 percent of the world’s Muslim population of 1.2 billion. Then there’s the number who trust Osama Bin Laden more than President Bush: a majority in Muslim countries whose populations total 450 million.

FBI Worried About July 4th Terror Attacks

A report that every American should take seriously:

The FBI is worried about possible terrorist attacks over the Fourth of July weekend, according to a weekly bulletin issued to law enforcement agencies and obtained by Fox News.

“Although the U.S. intelligence community possesses no specific credible threat reporting that terrorists are planning to target July 4th celebrations, we know the U.S. homeland remains a top Al Qaeda target,” the report states.

It adds that the Department of Homeland Security (search) and the FBI “remain concerned about the intent of terrorists to conduct large-scale attacks in the United States.”
