Pro-Hezbollah Group Will Demonstrate in Brussels on 9/11

'Europe Take some lessons from 9-11'Here’s a follow-up to an article I posted on July 28, 2007. From The Brussels Journal (with thanks to Boycott Islam blog):

The Arab-European League (AEL), a pro-Hezbollah organization of Arab immigrants in Belgium and the Netherlands, is rallying its members to march in Brussels on 11 September “against Islamophobia and racism in Europe.” The AEL demonstration is a response to the request by the Danish-British-German organization Stop the Islamisation of Europe (SIOE) for permission to demonstrate on 9/11 in front of the European Union’s buildings in Brussels against the introduction of Sharia laws in Europe.

Iranian-backed Hezbollah builds bases in South America

Hezbollah flag
This MSNBC story (Hat-tip: A_Plague_on_Both_Houses) is for all the people that think that we can just contain the “tiny minority of extremists” in the Muslim world to Iraq and the Middle East. How very naive. It also shows why whenever you hear an elected official claim that putting a wall on the southern border with Mexico is “too expensive” or “will cause tensions”, that they are very heavily influenced by lobbyists and not by concern for your safety or the welfare of the United States.

Does anyone recall how quickly we as a nation put a steel oil pipeline in this country during WWII? It stretches hundreds of a miles, across swamps and mountains and deserts and was completed in a mere months and at tremendous cost, but it helped win the war. I fail to see how in the hell our politicians can keep lying about the possibility of a fence or wall on the border. GET IT DONE, CONGRESS! Here’s a better reason than even the Mexicans have given us:

The Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia has taken root in South America, fostering a well-financed force of Islamist radicals boiling with hatred for the United States and ready to die to prove it, according to militia members, U.S. officials and police agencies across the continent.

From its Western base in a remote region divided by the borders of Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina known as the Tri-border, or the Triple Frontier, Hezbollah has mined the frustrations of many Muslims among about 25,000 Arab residents whose families immigrated mainly from Lebanon in two waves, after the 1948 Arab-Israeli war and after the 1985 Lebanese civil war.

An investigation by Telemundo and NBC News has uncovered details of an extensive smuggling network run by Hezbollah, a Shiite Muslim group founded in Lebanon in 1982 that the United States has labeled an international terrorist organization. The operation funnels large sums of money to militia leaders in the Middle East and finances training camps, propaganda operations and bomb attacks in South America, according to U.S. and South American officials.

U.S. officials fear that poorly patrolled borders and rampant corruption in the Tri-border region could make it easy for Hezbollah terrorists to infiltrate the southern U.S. border. From the largely lawless region, it is easy for potential terrorists, without detection, to book passage to the United States through Brazil and then Mexico simply by posing as tourists.

They are men like Mustafa Khalil Meri, a young Arab Muslim whom Telemundo interviewed in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay’s second-largest city and the center of the Tri-border region. There is nothing particularly distinctive about him, but beneath the everyday T-shirt he wears beats the heart of a devoted Hezbollah militiaman.

‘If he attacks Iran, in two minutes Bush is dead,’ Meri said. ‘We are Muslims. I am Hezbollah. We are Muslims, and we will defend our countries at any time they are attacked.’

U.S. and South American officials warn that Meri’s is more than a rhetorical threat.

It is surprisingly easy to move across borders in the Triple Frontier, where motorbikes are permitted to cross without documents. A smuggler can bike from Paraguay into Brazil and return without ever being asked for a passport, and it is not much harder for cars and trucks.

The implications of such lawlessness could be dire, U.S. and Paraguayan officials said. Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said Hezbollah militiamen would raise no suspicions because they have Latin American passports, speak Spanish and look like Hispanic tourists.

I can tell you from personal experience that this statement is not hyperbole. Arab Muslims dressed in Mexican-style clothing are almost impossible to recognize as Arabs until you hear them speak or are within range close enough to see their faces. And now many of them are learning Spanish to further hide their true nature. You can bank on it that Hezbollah and other Islamist terror organizations have been and are continuing to exploit these weaknesses in U.S. defenses. I’ve been hearing of Muslims crossing the border for years now.

The CIA singles out the Mexican border as an especially inviting target for Hezbollah operatives. ‘Many alien smuggling networks that facilitate the movement of non-Mexicans have established links to Muslim communities in Mexico,’ its Counter Terrorism Center said in a 2004 threat paper.

‘Non-Mexicans often are more difficult to intercept because they typically pay high-end smugglers a large sum of money to efficiently assist them across the border, rather than haphazardly traverse it on their own.’

Deadly legacy of a lawless frontier

Since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, the Tri-border has become a top-level, if little-publicized, concern for Washington, particularly as tension mounts with Iran, Hezbollah’s main sponsor. Paraguayan government officials told Telemundo that CIA operatives and agents of Israel’s Mossad security force were known to be in the region seeking to neutralize what they believe could be an imminent threat.

But long before that, U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies regarded the region as a ‘free zone for significant criminal activity, including people who are organized to commit acts of terrorism,’ Louis Freeh, then the director of the FBI, said in 1998.

Edward Luttwak, a counterterrorism expert with the Pentagon’s National Security Study Group, described the Tri-border as the most important base for Hezbollah outside Lebanon itself, home to ‘a community of dangerous fanatics that send their money for financial support to Hezbollah.’

‘People kill with that, and they have planned terrorist attacks from there,’ said Luttwak, who has been a terrorism consultant to the CIA and the National Security Council. ‘The northern region of Argentina, the eastern region of Paraguay and even Brazil are large terrains, and they have an organized training and recruitment camp for terrorists.’

‘Our experience is that if you see one roach, there are a lot more,’ said Frank Urbancic, principal deputy director of the State Department’s counterterrorism office, who has spent most of his career in the Middle East.

Death is not enough for Jihadists — torture, beheading, terror, child-killing, and using children to kill

Islamic Jihadists are an evil breed. If they have the time, they won’t just kill — they’ll torture and maim first. Islamists will burn their own daughters to death. Others will even use children to commit heinous acts in the name of Islam.

And yet where’s the tumult? Where’s the international outrage? It hardly exists, but we well know that the opposite is not true. The smallest provocation is turned into a firestorm of rage from the Muslim world, even when the information is fabricated in the first place, as is often the case with claims of Qur’an desecrations and claims of torture by U.S. military personnel.

Notice no Muslim riots — and don’t try to tell me it isn’t because the majority of Muslims secretly condone the abuse of “unbelievers” — because if Muhammad was any example of how to live life for Muslims, then acts like the ones detailed in this article are only the proper example set by Islamic leaders throughout history. Horrid acts at the hands of Islamic Turks are all but legendary. Rapes of captured soldiers in WW I, Armenian genocide, tortures. If Islam is the Religion of Peace®, then Jack the Ripper must have been a philanthropist.

ISTANBUL, Turkey: Three employees of a publishing house that distributes Bibles were slain Wednesday in the latest attack apparently targeting Turkey’s Christian minority.

The attack added to concerns in Europe about whether this predominantly Muslim country which is bidding for EU membership could protect its religious minorities. It also underlined concerns about rising Turkish nationalism and hostility toward non-Muslims.

The three victims a German and two Turkish citizens were found with their hands and legs bound and their throats slit at the Zirve publishing house in the central city of Malatya.

Police detained four youths, aged 19-20, and also suspect a fifth, who underwent surgery for head injuries sustained apparently in trying to escape by jumping from a window at Zirve, authorities said.

The five suspects had each had been carrying copies of a letter that read “We five are brothers. “We are going to our deaths. We may not return,” according to the state-run Anatolia news agency.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the attack, and said investigators were looking into whether there were other suspects or possible links with terror groups.

“This is savagery,” Erdogan said.

The German and one of the Turkish victims were found already dead, and the third victim died after being taken to the hospital, Malatya Governor Halil Ibrahim Dasoz said. The German man had been living in Malatya since 2003, he said. Anatolia identified him as 46-year-old Tilman Ekkehart Geske.

It was the latest in a string of attacks on Turkey’s Christian community which comprises less than 1 percent of the 70-million population.

In February 2006, a Turkish teenager shot a Catholic priest dead as he prayed in his church, and two other Catholic priests were attacked later that year. A November visit by Pope Benedict XVI was greeted by several nonviolent protests. Earlier this year, a suspected nationalist killed Armenian Christian editor Hrant Dink.

‘Youths’, ‘insurgents’, and now the code-name, ‘nationalists’. Islam does a terrific job of cowing the media into submission.

“After today’s murders, the Turkish government must allow itself to be asked whether it is doing enough to protect religious minorities,” the party’s general secretary, Ronald Pofalla, said in a statement, calling religious freedom a “fundamental human right.”

“The Turkish state is still far from the freedom of religion that marks Europe,” Pofalla said.

Freedom of religion that is going to cost all free people dearly because the absolute heresy and lie of Islam is cultivated, protected and spread. No cult such as Islam should be feared and coddled by history the way it has been, not with so many proven crimes done in its name, with bombings and beheadings and murders done in its name every single day. Not when Islam will not let you out of its grip without a death sentence! Not when hate is in the teachings and it is a matter of honor to have to murder “unbelievers” if they should speak out as I am doing right now.

I am not afraid, you bastards, because reality and truth are on my side. Islam is an insult to my intelligence, my honor, my dignity and my existence. Until it is marginalized I will continue to only amp up my fight, I will only get more aggressive in my tone, language and desire to see this evil confronted and the true enemy of free people labeled for what it is.

Islam can not continue to operate like an assassin in the night forever. Not as long as more and more people become aware and unafraid and educated.

Turkey began EU membership negotiations in October 2005 but talks have stalled over Turkey’s refusal to formally recognize EU-member Cyprus. The country is under intense pressure to improve human rights and to expand religious freedoms and free speech as part of its membership bid.

Religious freedoms for the less than 1% of the Turkish population that aren’t Muslims? Don’t make me laugh. The percentage alone should be proof enough that there is nothing but terror and oppression for anyone that is not a Muslim in Islamic lands!

A group of 150 lit candles and unfolded a banner that read “We are all Christians” in downtown Istanbul to protest at the attack and show solidarity with the Christian community. But there was far less public outcry than with Dink’s murder, which was followed by widespread protests and condemnations. More than 100,000 people marched at Dink’s funeral.

Malatya is known as a hotbed of nationalists
, and is also the hometown of Mehmet Ali Agca, who shot Pope John Paul II in 1981.

Turkish Hezbollah which has been known to “hog-tie” its victims while torturing them takes its name from the Lebanon-based Hezbollah, but has no formal links to it. Turkish authorities recently said they were witnessing an increase in the group’s activities.

The Gruesome Details

Three Protestants murdered at a Christian publishing house here were tortured for three hours before their assailants slit their throats, a press report said Friday, quoting one of the doctors involved in the grisly case. Dr. Murat Ugras, a spokesman for the Turgut Ozal Medical center, told the daily Hurriyet of hospital surgeons’ fruitless efforts to save Ugur Yuksel, one of the three victims of the massacre at the Zirve (summit) publishing house, which distributed Christian literature.

“He had scores of knife cuts on his thighs, his testicles, his rectum and his back,” Ugras said. “His fingers were sliced to the bone. It is obvious that these wounds had been inflicted to torture him,” he said.

The two others who were killed, Necati Aydin, pastor of Malatya’s tiny Protestant community, and German Tilmann Geske, a Malatya resident with his wife and three children since 2003, were also tortured, press reports said.

The abuse lasted for three hours as the five men detained at the crime scene interrogated the three on their missionary activities, they said.

“We tied their hands and feet and later gagged them,” the mass daily Sabah quoted one of the suspects as telling police.

“Emre slit their throats,” said the youth, who was not identified, referring to Emre Gunaydin, the alleged leader of the gang, who is at the same hospital in serious condition after jumping out of the publishers’ third floor office in a bid to flee police.

This war is with Islam. Enough tolerance of evil. Enough appeasement of barbarians. Enough using our own democratic freedoms and laws to sow the seeds of our own demise. I will never be silent on this issue. I am beyond disgusted at the continuing hand-wringing and the destroyers from within our nations, both Islamic and Leftist.

The time of reckoning is fast approaching when I know that too many people will have become aware of the true nature of the lie that is Islam and Americans and Westerners will stand up for what is right and save what is left of our societies before they are washed away by cultists.

Do not accept death like sheep. Do not accept lies like children. Do not wallow in the perverted attempts at equivalence by the likes of Rosie O’Donnell and Michael Moore and Nancy Pelosi. See fools and traitors for who they are. See Islam for what it is.

Islam is the Enemy.

Arabian Adventures of Pelosi Continue

All that’s missing are the doves with olive branches. An AP report on the coming meeting in Syria for our illustrious House Speaker:

DAMASCUS, Syria - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi toured Damascus on Tuesday, the highest-ranking American politician to visit Syria since relations began to deteriorate four years ago. President Bush criticized the trip, saying it sends mixed signals to President Bashar Assad.

The United States accuses Syria of interfering in Iraq and Lebanon and sponsoring terrorists charges Syria denies. The Bush administration has resisted calls to open direct talks with Damascus on resolving the countries’ disputes.

Pelosi, D-Calif., is scheduled to meet Assad and other Syrian officials on Wednesday. She made no comment on arrival and headed for the Old City of Damascus where she toured the 8th-century Omayyad Mosque.

Pelosi draped a scarf over her head as she entered the historic mosque and stopped at a tomb inside the mosque said to contain the head of St. John the Baptist. She made the sign of the cross in front of the tomb. About 10 percent of Syria’s 18 million people are Christian.

In the nearby outdoor Bazouriyeh market, she chatted with Syrians, who offered her dates, in front of shops selling olive oil soaps, spices and herbs. At one point, she bought some coconut sweets and looked at Syrian carpets.

In Washington, Bush said visits to Syria by u.S. officials were “counterproductive.”

“A lot of people have gone to see President Assad … and yet we haven’t seen action. He hasn’t responded,” he said at a Rose Garden news conference.

He said Assad had not reined in violent elements of militant groups Hamas and Hezbollah as requested by the international community and had acted to destabilize the democratically elected government of Lebanon.

“Sending delegations doesn’t work. It’s simply been counterproductive,” Bush said.

Pelosi has shrugged off the criticism, pointing out that Republican members of Congress have also visited Syria. During a visit to neighboring Lebanon Monday, she said she considers the visits to be an “excellent idea” and was hopeful of rebuilding lost confidence between Washington and Damascus.

“We have no illusions but we have great hope,” she said.

Syria treated the visit as a diplomatic victory. State-run newspapers published news of Pelosi’s trip on their front pages, with one daily publishing a photograph of Pelosi next to the headline: “Welcome Dialogue.”

But there were some warnings against high expectations.

Syria’s ambassador to the United States, Imad Moustapha, described the visit as a “positive step” but said “it does not necessarily mean that the Bush administration would suddenly change its position” from Syria.

In comments to the state-run Al-Thawra daily published Tuesday, he said the visit should be a “reminder that even though we might disagree on politics, we should remain diplomatically engaged in dialogue to reach some understandings.”

Pelosi is traveling with a delegation of U.S. lawmakers, including the first Muslim member of Congress, Keith Ellison, D-Minn.

In Israel, Pelosi said she would tell Syrian leaders that Israel will talk peace with them only if Syria stops supporting Palestinian militants. She has said she will also talk to the Syrians about Iraq, their role in neighboring Lebanon and their support for Lebanon’s Hezbollah militants.

She accused the White House of singling out her Syria visit for criticism.

“It’s interesting because three of our colleagues, who are all Republicans, were in Syria yesterday and I didn’t hear the White House speaking out about that,” Pelosi said Monday, referring to the Sunday meeting of Reps. Frank Wolf (news, bio, voting record), Joe Pitts and Robert Aderholt (news, bio, voting record) with Assad in Damascus.

“I think that it was an excellent idea for them to go,” said Pelosi. “And I think it’s an excellent idea for us to go, as well.”

An even better idea would be for you and Keith Ellison to stay there, Nancy.

Ganor: The Coming War with Islam

Hezbollah flag
I’m not sure I would have titled this article the ‘Coming War with Islam’ — the war has been upon us now for many years, but it does make for a more dramatic punch to imply it’s not quite here yet. If by the end of reading the following article most of you aren’t calling me a harbinger of doom, I’ll thank God for small favors. What is made crystal clear in this piece is simply more of what I have been hammering away on the Anvil for the better part of 3 years, but this article is such a great narrative and comes from such excellent sources, that you will be wise to read it all. Today. From Solly Ganor at FrontPageMagazine.com, I present you with one huge epiphany (hat tip: Gramfan):

910 Group Mission Statement

Hopefully by now you have heard of the 910 Group — a new worldwide movement that is intent on putting a stop to Islamofascism. The flow of thought on the forums is truly spectacular and I have been contributing a little bit here and there.

This morning I voiced my concerns about a part of the Mission Statement wording, as reprinted in a forum posting by Vicktory:

* We seek to reverse radical Islam’s intention to wage global jihad, and stop any totalitarian movement to impose fascist domination upon any unwilling persons or nations.
